The Houston/OKC game was really exciting, even though I didn't care who won.

I'm glad we won though! Overall, it was a fun game. Hopefully JR got the stupid out of his system.
We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

i can't believe Roberson is that bad at foul shots. How is that even possible as a pro

Westbrook can't save himself from himself. Kyrie is similar. But Kyrie has LeBron as a backstop. One thing that's confusing for me about Westbrook is he isn't a very good defender. Anyone that athletic should be a superior defender. Kyrie isn't as athletic. He's just skilled. But Kyrie can't shuffle his feet like an athletic guy on D can do. Westbrook, I think, just doesn't care about defense.

I really dislike GSW. Sure, they are the better team than Portland but, they are so arrogant. It would be great to knock them out before the Championship but, if CLE make it again I SO hope they give 'em a defensive beat down!
I was never a huge fan of the NBA but, it seems there is less and less defense these days. Constant perimeter shooting and games well into the triple digits. As with college football that usually has scores in the 40's-50s....I think NBA has evolved into a sport for ADD.

I am less concerned about GS this year than last. If it's GS-CLE again, I think we win in another close 7 game series.
The Warriors are at their best when Curry is at his best. When Durant is playing, Curry is somewhat emasculated. He's not at his best. We need to hope for a healthy Durant if it's GS-CLE 3.
LeBron is legacy chasing now. He's past championship chasing. I don't think he can pass Jordan, but I think he's going to die trying. The Warriors are just another team in the way of that. I remember Doug Collins once said to beat Jordan in the playoffs, you were going to have to dismember him. It took awhile for LeBron to grow into that, but it's the same with him. He's the ultimate trump card. That 3 today was beyond clutch. He's just on a different level than everyone else. He's basically a savant when it comes to basketball. And as long as his body can do what his mind is telling him to do, he is pretty much unstoppable. Cleveland is really lucky to have him. He's a once a generation player.

That Round 1 third game reminded me of when my older brother taught me to play basketball.
He'd spot me 15 points then beat me 21-20.
The Cavs were just playin' around with the Pacers.

You know, this could have more than a grain of truth.
"Let's practice a 30 point come-from-behind 2nd half win."
To toughen-up that second half mentality.

Jeff Teague's playoff results for the past three seasons with the Hawks and Pacers:
0-12 3 sweeps All to the Cavs
Ouch.
I've always liked him as a player though.
EDIT: Actually, the Cavs swept him and his Hawks in the 2008-09 season as well. That means that Jeff Teague is 0-16 against the Cavaliers in the playoffs for his career.

And we got him twice...really thought when he left that was it (as I'm sure everyone else did). this is why i think the MVP shouldn't be decided until after the playoffs, at the true end of league year. Lebron would have about 8 or 9 mvps by now

Watching this warriors blazers game.
So unfair. Warriors started off 12-0, currently 35-11 in the first quarter.

Blazers are an 8th seed. They were terrible for the first half of the season and they went on a good run after the All Star game to finish strong and sneak into the playoffs. But, truthfully...they shouldn't be here and it shows. Also, it doesn't help Nurkic has been out. That said, I hate the Warriors.

The Warriors straight up destroyed them They are the team to beat this year, and it's not really even close...they are going to need alot to go wrong injury wise to have much of a challenge

If the PGA/LPGA had a voice in the matter, they'd remove the Lebron 3 and declare the Pacers a winner of Game 4. I don't really know what it matters to report on this stuff days after the game. Heck, nobody was even talking about this anywhere, so why call your own refs out?

Why is Chris Paul still considered one of the best PGs in the NBA? I know Blake Griffin was hurt, but he played with a general lack of interest today. He takes pride in being a prototypical point guard, but won't do everything it takes to win when the solution calls for him to be something other than that prototypical PG. Sometimes you've got to do what you go to do. Push the action. Score. Play with a sense of urgency. I never see those things from Paul. He's going to go the way of Deron Williams and be a ring chaser in the not too distant future. If I was LAC, I'd blow it all up. Shame they paid Jordan all that money. You can't build around him.
I really like Paul, but I walk away from every game I watch him play feeling like he didn't leave everything on the floor.

I used to think that as well. I just don't think it's true anymore.
No one fears the guy. He can't take over a game. He's never improved his scoring ability as he's accumulated years in the league. His team consistently gets knocked out of the playoffs - sometimes after establishing large game leads.
I know that doesn't sound too flattering so this next statement might not make sense. I am a Paul fan. Have been for a long time. But I don't think he's one of the best PGs in the NBA. Maybe because I'm a fan I am just disappointed to watch him get knocked out in the playoffs again.
He's hurt a lot too.
Lead always says the Cavs would be better if him and Kyrie traded places. We wouldn't make the Finals if that happened, and I am extremely hard on Kyrie. The difference is Kyrie is capable of putting the team on his back when it matters most.
I just don't think Paul is capable of that.

CP3 isn't the problem. he has teammates who are absolute no shows in the playoffs.
Like Blake griffin.

When you said he didn't think he was capable of that, I thought you mean never has been. I think he is still capable of it, but he is not the scorer some of the other point guards are in the league. He takes over the game in other ways. His defense, control over his team's offense, and distribution is on another level in certain games.

I just don't think Paul is capable of that. Paul isn't the problem, he's surrounded by garbage..I say replacing he and kyrie would be better for the cavs for their floor games..kyrie offensively is elite, but also selfish and doesn't make others better. CP3, on a team with lebron and surrounded by shooters would be unstoppable, he'd average 15 assists a night. We need that with our offense more than 1 guy dribbling 4 on 1, even as impressive as it is when kyrie gets rolling, problem is most of the time he's just killing momentum and being very inefficient, he was horrible against indiana, hopefully against toronto we see a better version as kyrie loves playing against Lowry. Speaking of toronto, I have to say they kind of worry me matchup wise, if we play the defense we did against Pacers we will get destroyed. Toronto has alot of depth. Should be a fun series. If last year is any indication, our defense usually improves as we go deeper into playoffs.
