Thanks arch, I didn't see it. Followed the feed on mlb.com. That did help a little.

Probably would've helped a lot if I had linked to the proper link. My bad.

Here is a good one to read. https://sites.google.com/site/rulebookedge/rule-misconceptions/foul-tips

Rule Misconceptions‎ > ‎
Foul Tips
Beliefs:

The ball is dead on a foul tip, just like it is on a foul ball.
A batter cannot strike out on a foul tip
Runner cannot steal on a foul tip
If a tipped ball hits the catcher’s chest pad, and he then catches it before it hits the ground, it’s a strike.
If a foul tip goes off the catcher’s glove, hits his chest and then he bobbles it and catches it, it’s not a strike, right?
For a foul ball to be an out, it has to go over the batter’s head

Realities:

No. The ball is alive and in play on a foul tip. (It is also alive and in play on a foul ball that is caught by the way). Note that by definition a foul tip refers to a ball that is caught. If a ball “tips” off the bat and hits the ground, or is otherwise not caught, it is just a regular old foul ball, and the play is dead. This is not a foul tip.
Yes he can. If he has 2 strikes on him, a foul tip is strike 3. (With any other count a foul tip is also a strike).
Yes they can. The ball remains in play. A foul tip is different than a foul ball.
No. Only foul tips are strikes. If the ball hits anything (e.g., chest pad), before hitting the catcher’s glove or hand than it’s a foul ball, not a foul tip.
Wrong. That IS a foul tip. The catcher does not have to catch it directly off the bat, the ball just needs to directly hit his hand (hopefully not!) or glove first, and then whatever happens as long as it’s caught, it IS a foul tip.
Nope. If it’s not a foul tip, then it’s a foul ball. If a foul ball is caught then the batter is out. It does not matter how high it goes. If it loops 3 inches over the bat and the catcher catches it, it’s an out.

Summary:

A ball that is fouled by a batter and caught by the catcher can fall into one of two categories. A foul tip, or a caught foul ball. For it to be a foul tip it must go “sharp and direct from the bat to the catcher's hands and is legally caught". Otherwise it is a foul ball. A caught foul ball is an out.
The operative words are "sharp and direct", indicating pretty much a straight line. If there is any looping of the ball as it travels to the catcher, then it is an ordinary foul ball.

(it makes more sense if you read it on the link)

I see, there's a difference between a foul ball and a foul tip. Didn't know that.

Man, it is just unbelievable how Brantley has come back, and looks like he missed a week, not the better part of a whole season.

Agreed. I was up at the game tonight with my son and he had on his Brantley jersey and enjoyed every minute of Brantley's success tonight. Great to see his hard work and dedication pay off.

The key hit tonight was Santana's double to drive in two runs.

Beautiful night at the ballpark.

Go Tribe!

I can't imagine a game tonight.

Well, uh, they'll never finish it. They'll never make it to the 5th.

Maybe.

Yeah, and the classic MIller/Allen one-two punch for the 8th & 9th innings.

Great to have this for these games where the Indians aren't generating much offense. (only 6 hits today)

The Little Cowboy, Josh Tomlin goes for the Featherheads today. He's 1-3 with a 9.33 ERA, so he's due for a good outing. Seattle is starting somebody named Chase DeJong, a rookie righthander, so we can probably count on the Indians making him look like the next Greg Maddux, at least for the first couple times through the lineup. Indians don't seem to play well on Sundays for some reason, maybe they like to party on Saturday nights? (Who doesn't?) But its a chance to win another series, and that's the formula to win the division.

we're getting hitting from unexpected people and guys who we expect to hit well aren't...EE has been garbage all year, hopefully his rep of starting slow and getting better comes true..but he strikes out ALOT, guys like kipnis and guyer you think will have to come around and hit for average, right now smooth, jram and lindor carrying the mail...which bodes well for us if the rest start hitting as those guys are consistently good for average hitters whos power is just a bonus

It's pretty much the same story as last year when we hit our stride. Napoli struck out a ton, too. I'm okay with this.

We'll win the series this year.

He frequently starts cold. He'll be fine.

Encarnacion is getting walked at a higher rate than his norm. Meaning, he's seeing the ball well. His exit velo is on par with his average. He'll be fine.

Having JRam protect him should allow him to see good pitches.

Hopefully he does as Jose Ramirez did, and when he comes back up, he is able to stay, and do the job.

Finding it hard to muster up any offense. Hope Kluber is okay. Lower back discomfort doesn't seem good. That kid that relived him looked good though. Shawn Armstrong.

Terry Francona said MLB Network Radio that Corey Kluber is probably headed to the disabled list.

Francona says it looks like Kluber will be put on DL "we think letting him miss a little bit of time is best thing for everybody"

Indians ace Corey Kluber had to be taken out of his start on Tuesday with lower back discomfort after only three innings pitched. It looks as though the stiffness in his lower back will cost him a bit more time.

The Indians on Wednesday placed Kluber on the 10-day disabled list with a lower back strain and recalled relief pitcher Joe Colon.

Kluber has been dealing with a back issue for most of the season. He pitched through back stiffness in his second start of the year against the Arizona Diamondbacks and has been managing it ever since. On Tuesday, possibly in part due to the cold temperatures, it was the worst it has been and forced his exit from the game.

Kluber’s inclusion on the disabled list could be made a bit less painful thanks to MLB’s switch to the 10-day disabled list—as opposed to the 15-day DL—this season. With an off day upcoming on May 11, Kluber could conceivably only miss one start depending on how long he needs before returning.

Colon temporarily gives the Indians a nine-man bullpen after Shawn Armstrong was recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday. The Indians won’t need a fifth starter until Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Royals.

Mike Clevinger could be the top option to be called up to Cleveland for a spot start that day. Clevinger pitched last night, so his day to start would line up with Kluber’s. Clevinger also has a 1.50 ERA this season at Triple-A Columbus.

Ok it's May already , Where are the Bats ??

OFFICIAL SCORER'S are nuts .. They constantly give a player credit for a hit when a error has clearly been made . Calling an error is like calling Traveling in Basket Ball .

Yan Gomes is on fire!

He now leads all current Indians' catchers in batting average.

He's hitting way over his weight (I think).

For the out of state people's, does anyone have a good link for Indians schedule, scores, and tv broadcast? I used to use this ESPN link, but today I realized it no longer shows TV coverage.

http://www.espn.com/mlb/team/schedule/_/name/cle/cleveland-indians

MLB Tv has regional coverage tonight, which is 2 different games, and I think the West gets Indians vs Royals. I need a good schedule link, with tv coverage, similar to the one I posted. I think last year before, the postseason, there were maybe 6 or 7 nationally televised games, have to watch when I can.

I use the ESPN site also, but I don’t love it.

It’s OK the next morning, but it’s bothersome at game time. (it’s “Gamecast” Feature is unreliable and sucks).

You can get MLB.com for $25/month or $120/year.

You can watch every Indians non-local (non-local to you) game. In fact you can watch every MLB game. Every day.

I wouldn’t think twice about buying MLB.com for the year, but I just don’t want to watch many games past 8 pm EST.

I’ll probably buy MLB.com for the month of September (when the Indians games are all against Central Division opponents, they’re more important and it’s what Francona coaches for.(Fracona always sets his teams up to play their best ball in September))
