Thanks for the link, because that just showed me the game is on FS1 tomorrow, back to back days to watch the Indians.

I would like something that includes MLB TV broadcasts, because it's on right now and that link didn't say that.

I get to see the game today on FS1 too.

It would be nice to not see Tomlin get his ass lit again.

So here is the issue, my dvr is automatically set to record any Indians game on TV. However yesterday the MLB network game was titled, "baseball regional coverage". Indians vs royals or Red Sox vs twins. My dvr didn't automatically record the game.

First world problems I suppose.

And you know what happened when he got his haircut.

I really am physic - today's PD reports Clevinger got a haircut before returning to the big club. His hair is only shoulder length now.

http://www.cleveland.com/tribe/index.ssf...art_river_index

Nice outing yesterday by Tomlin, by the way; 7 IP, 3 hits, 0 BB, 1 ER. Has his ERA under 8, which sounds really bad until you see where it was a couple weeks ago. I'll take that as a positive sign, at least until one of the board sabermetricians shows up to tell me that ERA is a meaningless stat.

I like Merritt, he's probably the next guy up if we need another starter.

Hey, I put the preseason odds at 80% that the Tribe would have an entrenched new starter in the rotation by season's end.

Could it be Clevinger?

Maybe. Francona is a master at developing young pitchers for the majors.

I'm seriously debating paying the $25 right now to watch this game on MLB.com.

If Clevinger impresses, if Clevinger forces himself into the rotation right now, if Clevinger becomes a Rookie of the Year candidate by August, I will.

Cleveland Indians

Another look at today's Cleveland Buckeyes threads as part of KC's Salute to the Negro Leagues.

Team played in CLE from 1942 to 1950

Cleveland Buckeyes would be my frontrunner for a new name if MLB forces us to get rid of the name "Indians" along with the Chief. That uni would be fine too.

I don't think Clevinger qualifies as a rookie anymore. (53 innings last year)

Clev had an outstanding start, (I'll forgive the walks) then the bullpen just dominated.

Boone Logan walked the guy he was supposed to get, but then Shaw (everyone's favorite whipping boy) struck out the 4 batters he faced, and Miller shut down the 8th .... and we'll almost certainly see Cody Allen for the 9th.

Clevinger pitched OK today, but a few things:

1) Unlike Y, I will not forgive the walks.
2) The one hit he allowed was too much. He’s lucky it wasn’t a grand slam homer.
3) He was lucky it wasn’t two grand slam homers (it could have easily been two grand slam homers if Clevinger had given up two homers each with the bases loaded)
4) As it is, Clevinger had to rely on 3 relief pitchers to secure the combined one hitter.

I just hope he can learn from his mistakes today and improve.

If I were Francona, I'd have a long talk with him and give him one more chance. Maybe one more start.

Excellent. When they announced it wasn't a shoulder issue, I was so relieved. Who would've thought he would be playing at the level he is coming off that injury?

Anyone who answers that last question in the affirmative is a liar. lol (except for me, of course, since I foresaw it all) rofl

You laugh now, but just wait till this season ends, and the Cavaliers repeat, the Indians win the World Series, and the Browns lose in the Super Bowl. wink (wouldn't it be about the freakiest thing ever if this actually happened?) rofl

The Cavaliers went from suck, to losing the Finals, to winning it all.

The Indians went from suck, to losing the World Series, to ....... (maybe winning it all)

The Browns came from suck, to ....... who knows. rofl

It's the off-season, It's time for totally unreasonable dreams. wink rofl

Our bats need to wake up. We've been so poor in RISP lately, it's so frustrating.

Last night was incredibly frustrating. Down 4-0. Lindor gets two runs in and is on second with ZERO OUTS and we have 3-4-5 coming up. Weak ground out and two strike outs.

This slump needs to end soon.

Positive note: Our bullpen is unbelievable.

Okay, i'm starting to wonder when Kluber comes back, if we should put Trevor on the backburner and let Clevinger take his place?

Trevor has been... unimpressive. Very unimpressive.

Saw this kid (Clevinger) pitch when the Tribe played the Rangers here in San Antonio. He had a rough outing, but again it was an exhibition game. I don't think they kept a pitcher in for more than 2 innings. First thing I thought when I saw him was some aren't going to like the hair.

Carrasco was lights out.

Yan Gomes is finally heating up? Over the past 14 games, is hitting .378 with a .478 on-base percentage (courtesy of TJ Zuppe).
