That is actually smart. I don't use cash much anymore, but bills can easily be mixed up when you are at a places like a club/bar or a busy venue. Keeping the bills in order helps prevent mistakes.

Wow, you are worse than I am.

Again, I just do those things to save time. I get highly irritated if I have to spend time looking for things.
Pretty much the same, when I am working I want to reach for a tool and know exactly where it is. I dont want to waste time looking around for things. I have probably spent just as much with my Matco and Snap On reps on storage and organizing items as I have on actual tools.

I do that, but mine has to be in increments of 5. Have no idea where that came from

Keys go on the bleeping HOOK! I made a key rack from wood and put it next to the door. I go ape chit when I can't find my keys because they were not put on the hook. Wallet and cell phone go in the tray I made for just that purpose. The rest of the world can descend into chaos but I better be able to find my keys, wallet, and cell(even though I seldom use it).

I also made a coat rack. The whole thing can be messy but don't freaking use my two hooks. Thankfully no one gives me grief in the house over this one. I just like to be able to hit the door running and not have to be worried or stressed out about stupid things.

You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.

We don't have that problem here in Canada: our bills are all different colours. Our $1 and $2 denominations have been coins for years (and bigger than dimes, nickels and quarters so you cant get them mixed it up).
$5 bills are blue, tens are purple, $20 green , $50 are red and $100 bills are beige.

I don't do it for fear of getting the bills mixed up. I do it because it just seems right to me.

On some things, like that, I'm very picky/neat/organized.

On other things, like my office desk? Well, let's just say I'm NOT that way.

Seriously though, I rarely carry much cash anymore, so I generally don't have more than maybe $40 on me.

I do keep whatever cash I have on mwe aligned though.

It'a no problem for me, as I carry and use very little cash anymore.

I keep quarters for when I go to Aldi's, (for carts)and for leaving tips. (I generally tip 20-25%, and see no need to force a server to claim all of it by putting it on the card) But really, that's about it. In the summer, I might stop at a garage sale or 2, when I am out, if I feel up to it, but I put everything I can on a cash back card.

I'm an application developer, so usually I have multiple monitors. I'm completely anal when someone turns one or adjusts it in any fashion. The cleaning lady at my old job use to do it all the time too when cleaning. She'd turn them and adjust the angels. It would drive me nuts haha.

I'm insane about my music. I organize my files, and correct all the spelling and capitalization. I even plan on fixing all the genre labels at some point. I'm certified for sure.

I'm really bad with video games and trying to complete them, and collect all the items, and etc. but I have been better about that and just play the game to beat it and enjoy.

I'm very strict about my pre-game routine for hockey. I try to put things on in the exact same order. I don't ever want to be the first player on the ice. I take 3 half laps around our end of the ice, going around to the red line, then blue line, and on my 3rd lap I cut straight to the net. I stretch my legs at the bench, and then go to just in front of the penalty box on our side, and the groin/hip area. Once I do all that, I only take a few practice shots. I like to shoot around in warmups. This borders more on superstition than OCD, but I'm very particular about how this is done.

I used to have very rigid routines for my pre-game rituals back i the day. I know exactly what you are talking about. I think a lot of athletes are similar in that regard.

At the risk of offending some of you wink My Dad always taught me to carry my $$ in my pocket. He said to carry your $$ in a wallet was to much like women carry their $$ in a purse. He said carrying a wallet with $$ in it was being a sissy. Nobody wants to be a sissy brownie He also did not like shorts on guys, said they were all sissy's. So today, I don't wear shorts or carry my $$$ in a wallet. Thanks Dad. rofl

You do realize that his excuses not to buy you a wallet when you were growing up was just because he was cheap, right?

I've relaxed a TON in my pregame ritual. I also won't see a ton of shots... I'm more focused on getting stretched out. My legs and torso take longer to get ready to play, and I'm finding that I'm more susceptible to pulling a muscle now than a couple years ago.

I used to have a whole routine, but now I'm content if I feel good when the puck first drops.

Men's league warmups are the most frightening part of the game for goalies.

There are guys out there who never played HS or some level of juniors who are trying their lame breakaway move, or who think it's ok to wind up a 10 foot clapper at you. I'll pass.

I'm pretty good at handling the puck and shooting, and a few minutes of that gets my blood going. Works for me. Some goalies need a ton of shots, I really don't.

Hahahahaha! So true!

Yeah, my teams find out real quick I don't do the full windup from the middle of the circles thing. That, or getting blasted in the face, and I tell them to enjoy shooting on an empty net.

players on a well-coached hockey team never do that stuff. A solid captain never lets a player do it twice.

I've given some thought to the premise of this thread, and if there is one thing I am anal about, it's what I do just before going to work (and this isn't really that anal):

I shower, dry off, brush my teeth, get dressed, make sure I have all the stuff I need, kiss the wife goodbye and hit the road.
I don't like being held up by unforeseen circumstances... I get annoyed by it. I call it my 'go mode'.

Sometimes I feel that the term anal gets confused with habit or ritual.

I believe humans are creatures of habit. Yes, we can work to change or alter our habits. However I don't see most daily habits, rituals or routine as being anal.

I've seen people who are truly anal. A lot of what I've heard described in this thread is more of what I would describe as a daily habit far more than actually being anal.

Now I did meet this girl from Georgia who was........ Well that's a different subject for a different time.

LOL on your Georgia girl.

Once again............I really meant for this to be a light-hearted thread. I was purposely making fun of myself. I just didn't do a very good job of getting that message across and the message was misconstrued. My bad.

Yup.

If you watch a pro warm up, they pretty much just wind up a solid slap shot from just inside the blue line in an umbrella formation. Goalies can track the puck from the longer distance of the shot and get their sight lines all set.

In high school, we really didn't do anything other than have 2 equal sets of players in opposite corners and alternated passes to a circling shooter who would snap one from the high slot. It's a really solid drill.

I just don't understand these guys that want to warm up a goalie standing 5 and 10 feet away.

Not to mention, aside from warm ups, why on earth would you take a slapper from that close, the slap shot is by far the least accurate of all shots you can take.

Sorry to hijack this topic, lol.
