Just a little look back, what were some of your favorite stories, be a players up bringing, something that happened during the draft, that you enjoyed?

For me.. it's the fact that John Lynch went back to Stanford to finish his degree a few years ago.

One of his classmates was Solomon Thomas.

Garrett Boles baby being was the only part of the draft my wife even cared about. She was legitimately crying.

LOL. During his interview, he's said "My son's going to remember this day for the rest of his life", and everyone in the room I was watching all collectively said at once, "Uh, no he's not!"

For us, I like the story of Larry Ogunjobi (and his personality/demeanor). He's someone who I'll be rooting for to succeed.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

he doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed.

In fact I heard he thought the Wonderlic was an ice cream eating contest.

That was all kinds of wonderful.

I hope no one tries to out do it next year. It'd seem forced.

I won't say it was a favorite but it was memorable and bad for the Browns when we were a very good team ... 1987 when we had the 5th pick after going 12-4 and losing on the drive frown Marty Shottenhiemer called Mike Junkin from Duke "a mad dog in a meat market" before drafting him ... tongue

I used to get the Browns Newspaper (forget what they called it)
And I read that the coaching staff was saying that Junkin was going through the things all rookies go through and some took longer than others to develop, I knew right then we were in trouble. Same with Clifford Charlton, take a little time but he'll come around. Yeah right. I learned that most of the time a coach gives an excuse for a player, that player very seldom works out.

At the 2003 draft at Madison Square Garden Theater.

I brought my son who just turned 14 to the draft. As we sat there some regulars came in and paraded around. One of which wore a Lady Liberty costume and had the biggest Bazzingas you have seen. The eye popping look on my sons face as she walked by right in front of us...lol

That was the year we chose Chaun Thompson in the 2nd and everyone at the draft was asking me who the heck he was...I only knew cause one local article mentioned we were hot on him...lol laugh

Botch was the clown who brings in a guy like Jeff Garcia, a west coast QB, and asks him be a drop-back passer.

That was Browns News Illustrated. Ray Yanucci was the owner, and they had Sam Rutiglano, Pete Franklin, Calvin Hill, and many other really high quality contributors.

The internet killed that enterprise. Who wants a Browns newspaper when you can get information immediately online, as it breaks.

I seem to recall that the Browns bought the name after Yanucci folded the business.

I think in terms of rookies, you can usually tell if he has "it" pretty quickly. It might be in flashes and be inconsistent, but it's there. A guy like Cam Erving, Brandon Weeden, or Justin Gilbert never showed an ounce of having it.

This year: John Conner

All time: The whole Eli/Rivers saga was fun to watch living in San Diego.

James Conner? (I don't think there was a John Conner) ... he's from my area. One of the best stories ever

No apologizing. There was a John Conner in the NFL. And he played the prefect position for his name, Fullback for the NYC Jets

He was referred to as the Terminator, and some of my buddies loved him on Hard Knocks

"It", I think I started tuning out when I heard that term somewhere around Charlie Frye. Wish we could pave the way for a new cliche.

Charlie Frye had "It" for sure ..... it "It" was a lack of talent, or an inability to feel pressure in the pocket, or any number of other "Its".

Man our drafts in the past really SUCKED!
Easy to see how we have been mired in mediocrity all these years.

Makes me appreciate these guys more than ever - our 3 Harvard guys and Hue! Finally we are changing our history of our rebirth!

Too soon to tell. They haven't had anyone they drafted reach a second contract yet. I'm optimistic as well, but they haven't proven anything yet.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...proven anything yet...as in success on the field true. But its easy to see this is like no build up we have ever seen before.

While I'm not going to debate your conclusion because as of yet none of us have seen the results from this regime on the field before, I will certainly say one thing..

I've heard this all before. Over and over again. I hope you're right for all our sakes. But to make such a bold statement, I'm going to need more time.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Preferred him over Clifford Charlton
