At this point, the Pens have to be the heavy favorite to hoist the Cup. Had the Caps won, they would have been the favorites.

Nashville/Edmonton(or Anaheim)

Pittsburgh/Ottawa

Nashville is on fire right now. Anaheim is capable of good hockey at times.

I don't see Anaheim getting past Nashville. Nashville has me worried for the Pens.

I've adopted Nashville to win the Cup.
1. I don't like any other team remaining.
2. I'd love to see PP Subban stick it to his old team in Montreal.

That second goal Holtby gave up last night is going to haunt him for a long time. You could see and hear the entire energy of that building vanish after that goal. Maybe he was screened, it was hard to tell but that's one you gotta have if you're a pro. Really tough. I feel for that fan base because it seems like they are so close to breaking through. I know they haven't made the conference final since '98 but it's really like they're the Browns and the Pens are those old Broncos teams. Good chance that group is getting broken up too. A lot of guys in contract years, and it's not a young team.

I'm rooting for Ottawa. It's incredible to see Erik Karlsson carrying that team. You can't count on one hand and have fingers left over when you talk about defensemen who can do what he can do. Maybe just him and Drew Doughty. Craig Anderson is an incredible story too. Easy guy to root for. His wife was diagnosed with cancer earlier in the season. He's bounced around the league for years. I'm pulling for him. Would be cool to see Canada finally get the stanley cup again too.

Also, I'm shopping for new pads and really excited for that!

Still no Preds love?
Smashville, USA.

I am telling you, they fought injury to scrap in. Now they are healthy, skating fast, and hitting hard. The Preds are no joke.

They look good.

Despite knocking off my Blackhawks, I'm enjoying another 8 seed going deep into the playoffs (Kings won it all as an 8 seed 7-8 years ago).

4-0??

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Hopefully the Preds put out the ducks, then smash the Penguins or Ottawa in the final

I live in Southern California, so I consider myself something of an expert in fair-weather fandom. I think it's interesting seeing all these Predators fans come out of the woodwork.

:-p

I think it's probably more King fan duck haters than Pred fans that you're seeing.

I drive up to Smashville for at least 2 games a year. I'd like to catch a finals game, but from what I have seen, tickets prices are pretty steep, like 800 and up steep.

I might do something like that for a Browns game, but not for the Preds. I am a fan, but not that much of a fan. I will say that if I lived in Nashville, I would buy a partial season ticket package. I think they have 20 match plans. It's too far (130 miles) to drive back after games since I live in the eastern time zone and Nashville is on central. Rooms in Nashville are in high demand, thus, prices are very high.

Just imagine Youngstown, Ohio if the Browns ever got good and the Steelers weren't.

I'm not a hockey fan so I'll get that out of the way right from the start.

However, this has set Nashville on fire! Pred fans are a devoted bunch and it's the first time Nashville has seen a team play for a Championship since the Titans made it to the SB in 1999.

It's nice to see the fire in these fans eyes and the lift it's giving the city. Good luck to the Preds and all of their fans.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

It sucks that we (Blackhawks) lost to an 8 seed, but I'm kind of rooting for the Preds. I'd probably prefer Ottawa to win it all so a Canadian team can finally hoist the cup again, but I'll be happy for Nashville too.

I've taken two trips to Nashville over the past 5 years and enjoyed my time there. Fun place.

Nashville/Ottawa would be my ideal series at this point. Probably wouldn't care who'd win either.

Try Nashville at Halloween! It's an insane night!

Can only imagine how crazy Broadway Street was the other night. Such an awesome town.

I've heard people complaining (I don't know why) that the NHL will get awful ratings for a Nashville/Ottawa series. I mean yeah, with US ratings, you only have one city who will be keyed in on the series.

But really, two cities that have never had the cup? That's awesome.

For some reason, casual/fringe fans need to see certain jerseys on the ice for them to watch? I'm not one of these jerk hockey fans that hates the original six, but I also side with people who say just because it's a Rangers/Red Wings game, doesn't mean it's going to be a great game.

I do think as far as the hockey on the ice, Pittsburgh and Nashville would be really interesting, because of the styles of play.

Glad we get another game 7 too.

I REALLY hate when the Pens play like this

3 goal lead and they go into a shell and let the Preds bring the game to them and come back from three goals down. SMDH

My goodness just like the Steelers teams in Pittsburgh get all of the breaks. The early goal by the Predators was reversed for an off sides penalty that in my opinion was so close it could have went either way. They should have stayed with the call on the ice.

Even with the loss.

I think Nashville has to feel really good about this series going forward.

So the Stanley Cup Finals get bumped from NBC to NBCSN because of some dumb kids show no one will care about in two years?

Cool.

That was tough to watch last night. A complete meltdown in a matter of minutes. You could tell the one team that hadn't been there, and the team that has been there countless times.

Nashville better come out firing in game 3. They are two or three plays away from being down 3-0, and with the firepower the Pens have, and the way Nashville is built, there won't be much of a comeback attempt.

My gut it telling me they will come out full blast for game three and get maybe a 3 goal lead and feel good , Then the Pens will strike for three goals in some ridiculously short amount of time and then the route will be on

lol, wonder why!

as a fan just hoping for a good series, it was brutal.

Bridgestone will be will be wild!

I certainly don't expect the Preds to win the Championship, but it's wonderful to see this city so excited. It's the first time they've ever played for the Stanley Cup and with the stadium being right on Broadway, the feeling travels all the way up Music row.
