so glad kyrie showed up. we needed to see a game like this from him.

Lue getting his ass handed to him by stevens Do you guys ever feel stupid for the comments you make? Sheesh! We sweep two opponents and there are hardly any comments. We win the first two in dominating fashion and again there is very little talk. We lose one game and you guys go off. You were freaking out in this game, yet we end up winning. Freaking annoying as hell.

Sorry, but lead annoys me to no end. I read all of these posts defending the 1 and 15 Browns, but yet the Cavs get ripped after winning the NBA title. Weird as hell.
Anyway.......sorry again, but they frustrate me. My thoughts on the game:
--I did think LeBron would drive more early on. Disappointed he did not.
--Kyrie received a lot of hate from many fans on here this year, but the dude is becoming a premier player in the entire league.
--Love was a monster on the boards.
--Playing Frye [despite what lead says] would be stupid in this series. He's soft. Boston is super physical. He was okay against the other teams and will see more time against GS, but he's soft and Boston is physical.
--TT did not put up numbers, but he drew attention. Not that anyone would notice that.
--Korver is a better defender than I thought.
--We're up 3-1 in the ECF's, yet there are more negative posts than positive posts. The Browns go 1 and 15 and there are more positive posts than negative posts. Y'all are some crazy folks. LOL

I'm no basketball analyst, but it doesn't take a genius to know that Lue is benefitting from the fact that he is the coach of the team Lebron James is on, and the fact that if Lebron wasn't playing here, does Kevin Love even want to come to Cleveland? I also wonder if Kyrie didn't have some inside dope on The Return, cause if he didn't, would he have signed a new contract here?

I didn't read the threads at all during the game tonight - it is comical to read through them after the game. People need to relax - we've got a great team, we are going to have some off nights. I'm enjoying the ride. Kyrie was unreal tonight. Just sick.

We won the NBA title last year. We are up 3 games to 1 in the ECF's. It's stupid to complain about our coaching at this point.

I'm very well aware of the record and I was wide awake for hours after Game 7 of the finals last year. But given the fact that we stomped them by as much as we did in two games in their house, to let them come into ours and lay the egg we did two nights ago AND for two quarters tonight does deserve criticism. A good coach would know what to say to his guys that were OFF to get them back ON, and then we'd have finished them off tonight instead of having to go back to Boston to do it. Now, the Warriors are resting and we're still playing.

I am not criticizing you, but I disagree w/you about what a good coach would allow or not.
Pop is considered the best coach int he NBA. Would a "good coach" allow his team to be swept?
I am not even a Lue fan, but man, lead and his followers are ridiculous.

Lmao god you are dense, you're comparing Lue to pops who's playing a team better than the cavs missing his 2 best players while we play a team we crushed for two games and are playing without their best player at home. Yep exactly the same... Yes coaching was an issue these last two games, if Kyrie didn't decide to take over it's 2-2 going back to Boston

Things I currently love about the Cavs:
--Irving is an assassin. The guy has ice water in his veins. You had to have known that somewhere along the way the Cavs would need a game like this from him. Wow, just wow. He infuriated me during the season, but he's on the perfect team to play point guard because he doesn't really have to.
--Love is a rebounding machine. And his defense is way, way, way better than it's ever been in his career. And those full court passes. That's a special skill.
--LeBron having a quiet 30+ night.
--JR Smith hitting big shots when the Cavs need it most.
--The Cavs are a team and a family that root for each other. That's got to count for something.
--All of a sudden Shumpert can shoot. Keep it going.
Things I currently dislike about the Cavs:
--Love not demanding the ball down the stretch. I'm not sure if it's his "role" or what, but they never go to Love in the post down the stretch and he doesn't seem to want it either. And he always seems to miss a big shot at a critical point in the game. He missed the little hook late, although at least tonight he did make up for it with the corner 3.
--LeBron has to be the most moody superstar ever. He gets in these funks where you would think that he would come out swinging, but he comes out in this kind of pouty mood and body language and playing style. It's like he's constantly battling this demon that wants him to fold up his tent and go home. Like he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone. He's had so many moments like that in his career that it's somewhat alarming for a guy of his caliber.
--Not playing Frye. Vers, disagree with you on this one. He may not be physical but he's going to give you an honest effort, probably a slightly underrated rebounder, and instant offense. I think he should be getting some minutes.
--All of sudden Korver can't shoot. And now he's pressing. Don't even think he took a shot tonight, but he's been pressing since the beginning of the series.
--I don't know how you can watch the game and not believe it's rigged. That officiating crew was just awful.
Really hope the Cavs wrap this up on Thursday.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Thanks Kyrie.
Almost single-handedly won the game tonight. Other players did some great things, Love's rebounds, etc... but until Kyrie took over in the 3rd quarter, the energy (and defense) just wasn't there to mount a comeback. Even once we got scoring we were just trading baskets. Then Kyrie took over and provided all of the energy.... Then LeBron started scoring and the defense picked up...

One more win to go until the playoffs truly start. Can't wait!
Great game by Kyrie and Love. Another ridiculous pass by Love. Oh, and LeBron had 34.

The crazy thing about those Love passes is he has to see it happening about 3 seconds before it actually occurs.

okay up 3-1 in the ECF with 3 to play (we'd all take that back in October). Finish them
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Great game by Kyrie last night, and in fact, this guy had an amazing season.
25 Pt Average/GM, 50% from 2pt, 40% from 3pt, 90% from FT line. Only three other people have done that in the history of the game-- Bird (twice), Curry, and Durant. (credit: Mike & Mike, ESPN)
Lebron conceded that sooner rather than later this team will eventually become Kyrie's and it Lebron's job, outside of being the leader now, to show him the way. Tonight's game showed the direction I hope he is heading in. It's still crazy to think he just turned 25 years old in March.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Yep exactly the same.. I don't think I'm dense and people who know me would never use that word to describe me. Secondly, I was not comparing Lue to Pop. What I was saying is that there are things that a coach can't control. I am not even a big fan of Lue. I was upset when we fired Blatt and made that well known. However, the team won the NBA Championship, swept two opponents in this year's playoffs, and are up 3-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals. I'd say that speaks for itself.

Can you imagine what this team would be doing with a coach like Pop? Competing for championships? Kind of like we are? Pops has coached almost his entire career with Duncan, Parker, Robinson, Ginobili, now Leonard... there are arguably 3 or 4 Hall of Famers that he has had for his entire career... you act like he has been winning with B level talent. I'm no basketball analyst, but it doesn't take a genius to know that Lue is benefitting from the fact that he is the coach of the team Lebron James is on, And who was Phil Jackson without Jordan, Kobe, Shaq...? In the NBA, you can't win consistently without great players.. Going back through the last 20 NBA champions... LeBron has 3, Duncan has 5, Kobe has 5, Shaq has 4, Jordan has 2, KG has 1, Wade has 3, Dirk has 1... and those same players were on the losing end of many as well... the 2004 Pistons with Billups, Wallace, Wallace is probably the only team in 20 years that won a championship without at least 1 legit superstar, but it was still a very talented team.
