Okay, I am *slightly* worried about tonight's game. Normally I would be fine with a 3-1 lead, but in the past year:
- Golden State overcame a 3-1 deficit to win the Western Conference. - Cavs overcame a 3-1 deficit to beat the Warriors for the title. - The Cubs overcame a 3-1 deficit to beat the Tribe to win the Series. - Liverpool overcame a 3-1 deficit to beat Dortmund to reach the Europa Cup Semi-finals. - The Patriots overcame a 28(4 tds)-3(1 field goal) deficit to win the Super Bowl.

I hope we stomp them so we don't have to play another game while GS rests, but even more importantly, so I don't have to read all the whining from certain posters about how bad we are.

I liked your post, but I think the Cavs' defense has been pretty darn good during the playoffs. They've been a little shaky the last game and a half, but other than that, I think their defense has been a strength in the playoffs. I gotta disagree there. I think they benefited from teams just flat out missing good looks in the first two rounds. I'm not saying it is putrid (like it was during most of the year) but it's not good enough right now. I love Kyrie, and how can anyone not after the other night, but I don't think he'll ever get talk of being an MVP type PG until he starts being able to stay in front of his guy. A lot of the Cavs' problems happen when the perimeter guys can't do that, and help has to come, hence Boston having all those great looks. The Cavs defense got exposed the other night when their offense halted. You can say the same for GSW. They're better, but a lot of their defensive statistics don't really tell the story of their good offense forcing teams into bad possessions. They're no slouch, and individually, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are great defenders, but I don't think they're this defensive juggernaut, and the Cavs exposed that a bit in the finals last year. I do think the Cavs will step it up from here on out.

We can agree to disagree. Here is what I see:
--The Cavs have done a great job of using double teams to take the ball out of the best player's hands and force other guys to beat them.
--They have done an excellent job w/their traps.
--TT's length and agility on the perimeter has been very effective in altering the 3 point shots of the other team's shooters.
--Love has done a great job on the defensive boards while TT is defending the perimeter shooters.
--LeBron has played the passing lanes extremely well and rebounded on the weak side after switches.
--JR and Shump have done a nice job of staying in front of their man.
--Kryie is one of the worst regular season defenders in the league, but he is getting his hands on a lot of balls and blocking some shots. Much improved.
--Korver is a very good team defender. He's smart. He's good w/rotations, providing help, switches, and playing passing lanes.
--I think those "open shots" you are talking about are more about design than a weakness.

they are trying to send GS a message tonight.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Much better pace and energy tonight, getting some bench production which really helps.

Cavs gave up too many points in the first half.

Is it just me or does no one in the media seem to be giving the Cavs a chance against the Warriors?

Is it just me or does no one in the media seem to be giving the Cavs a chance against the Warriors? eh, they didn't last year, either. It looks like Kerr probably won't be able to coach in the Finals. That could end up being a big deal.

lebron breaks the record for points all time in the playoffs.
and with that last 3, moves up to 3rd all time in playoff 3-pointers.
