We rushed every possession the last 3 minutes instead of draining the clock with the lead. Horrible coaching
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne

Missed 3 after missed 3. Meanwhile they can toss it up from anywhere and hit it. This is really the difference in the entire series. Even our best 3 point shooters miss. Curry and Durant come down and make it...contested, not contested, at the 3 pt line, 6 ft behind the 3 pt line. Where ever. Really never thought I'd see LeBron get swept. But he's doing all he can. A lot of bad habits on offense have come to back to haunt them.

Yeah, stupid loss.
At least now they know how hard they have to play to win. Except they're not winning.

Man, that is a tough loss. Gut wrenching. What makes it worse is some of our "fans" are bad-mouthing the team.

Bottom line is next year we will have a completely different team. Hopefully one that can actually score under pressure and a bench that can produce anything. How exactly are we going to do that? Look, I get that we "suck against Golden State", but pretty much every team in the history of basketball sucks against them. They took a 72 win team and added a top 3 player because he wussed-out. The only way we can compete against that is hoping Harden, Kawhi or Westbrook get cut and we sign them for the league minimum. I don't think rotating parts around is going to do anything.

People are upset. It sucks to lose it after getting to the Finals. Especially to a team that is so unlikable.
But you have to give them credit. I get it that they are talented and they were already talented before adding Durant. And that Durant made them ultra talented. But they also want it more. The Cavs gave it their all but they still played awfully dumb down the stretch. They're not locked in, IMO. They developed really bad habits of thinking they can always pull a rabbit out of a hat, and they ran into a team where that's not working.

Thats what I'm hating about the NBA now, the only way to win is to build a super team. You can thank the Celtics and Lakers for that. Both got some really questionable trades made by execs that had former ties to the team. So Lebron realized the only way to compete was to do the same. And now Durant is claiming he did the same thing. The big difference though is that Lebron made a superteam to face-off against the Celtics. Durant just joined the superteam.

I don't understand why it's so bad for some of us to talk about moving players around to compete with the warriors.
All of us are happy that we are even in the finals. But great, now we have to move on. And the reality is that we don't just want to make it to the finals, we actually want to the team to win.
And in some of our opinions, we feel the way to compete with the warriors is moving certain players.
It's annoying how some of y'all try to be preachy about how fans should talk about the team. And pretty unnecessary.
Anyway, IMO, guys like TT have to go. I tried my hardest to be a fan of his, but at the end of the day, we need an actual big. Somebody with a post up game, and actual rim protection. TT biggest asset is offensive rebounding, and he did none of that this series. We kept hearing "wait for TT in the finals". Well, here it is.
He's not worth his contract, and he needs to be traded, if at all possible.
I wouldn't mind seeing JR bounce, either.

Durant wanted to play basketball with his friends on a team where he didn't have the to contend with the biggest ball hog in the history of the league.

The problem with trading Thompson and/or Smith is that they aren't getting anybody back for them. The only guy that makes sense to trade is Love. They can get multiple pieces back for him and create more depth. Even then I don't see it as a major improvement.

We aren't going to be trading them for anyone extraordinary, if at all. Love is tradeable, but who are we going to get for him? Carmelo Anthony? A pile of B- players? Andrew Wiggins?? (I kid) Is that going to help us beat this stacked Golden State team? I'll give you a hint, the answer is no. Trade Kyrie then? Well it's arguable that trading him for a more pass-friendly PG might improve us ever so slightly, I still doubt it's enough to help us beat GS. They're just too stacked. THEY'VE LOST ONE GAME SINCE MARCH 14! At any rate, we shouldn't even be talking about trading Kyrie. He was a major part of us winning a Championship. We should be talking about building a statue of him hitting "The Shot", not trading him.

I'd be worried if the Lakers clear out Deng and Mozgov (who they never should have signed in the first place).

Well griffin will find a way. I didn't think we could get certain players, but he made it happen.
At the end of that day, we have to get better. And that means the two likely guys to get replaced are JR and TT, as far as starters.

Most of the guys we've got in the past were because we were willing to take on salary of guys that were good but the team that had them wanted to clear cap space. We're not going to find people wanting to trade talent just to take on more cap space in the form of TT, JR or Shump. Honestly, our best bet might just be to stand pat and hope the Warriors themselves somehow blow-up in Free Agency.

I wonder if that has more to do with his after NBA pursuits. I think he owns his own production company.

I heard Bill Simmons talk about it on his podcast today. He said there is some buzz around the league regarding the rumor.
I believe LeBron's family moved to LA full time. Simmons is about as connected as an unopened bag of Legos. I think he mentioned just about every team EXCEPT Miami when Lebron left the first time. He's probably desperate for web-clicks too. Besides, the move would make no sense at all. He's going to leave a team of veterans and an amazing legacy in Cleveland to play essentially with a team of rookies, live in the shadow of Kobe and a ton of other Laker greats, and face Golden State earlier in the Playoffs every year? Yeah, I don't think that's happening. Besides, I googled that "Lebron's kids are in LA schools" and the best "source" I could find was Reddit! Everything else was speculation or people just linking the same rumor mill stuff.

LeBron James's kids did not go to school in LA last year. Look at their first day of school of pics this past year he posted and then look at the garage on his house in LA.
LeBron isn't going to play for the Lakers. Too funny!

Welp ...... Last year was the comeback from being down 3-1 ....... this year it's gonna be the first team ever to come back from 3-0!

that's as demoralizing of a loss as it gets
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Win game 4.
End the "undefeated post season talk"
Walk into GS, with nothing to lose. Lay it ALL out.
Let the 3-1 talk heat up.
Do what you can, and only what you can do.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?
