It's not about having my feelings hurt. It's about Trump being a crude jack wad. People expect more than that from a president. Even a lot of people who voted for him and support him.
And if he had a brain, he could punch back with facts rather than some crude, elementary school bully BS. That shows stupidity and a lack of self control. There's nothing presidential about that.
Expecting some moral standard from your president should be something we all wat. I guess that Paul Ryan and Lindsay Graham are liberals too because they seem to have the same concerns I do.
But that's how you roll. Just like the president. Try to label anyone who says anything negative as your enemy. How sad.

The most truthful statement Trump ever made was that he could shoot someone, and people will still support him.

We didn't elect him for his tweets or lack thereof, we elected him to fix the damage done to America by corrupt Obama and his people. We elected him to drain the Washington Swamp, Dem and Rep.
So far, after just a few months, the water level is lower and we have identified many of the ugly mud and blood suckers who are supposed to represent us.

Republicans are out here crying about divisiveness and such with regards to trump.....but didn't they start all of this nonsense before obama even took office? No they didn't start it.. it's been around forever, it just seems to be on a downward spiral lately.. maybe it's just because I'm older and more aware of it.. but anybody who claims the other side "started it" doesn't understand history... they couldn't get anything done then. they became the party of no.
then they told the american people if they got control, they would get things done. This is the problem with breaking things down by party.. I'm pretty sure when the republicans said those things, they anticipated it would be Cruz or Rubio or maybe even Jeb Bush that they were dealing with.. not Donald Trump. And if it was Trump that some of them were thinking of, then I'm pretty sure it wasn't THIS Trump... In that respect, y'all should be really happy with the congressional republicans that are standing up to him and not allowing him to run rough-shod over them.. I know I am. My respect for the republicans in congress has actually gone UP since Trump took office...

My respect has gone down, and it was alresdynlow for them to begin with.
There's only a few of them attempting to stand up to trump, and even then, it doesn't give them a pass for this crap ass healthcare bill they are trying to push off on the American people.

What crap healthcare are you talking about now. It isn't even done yet and nothing is signed yet you know it is crap?
You best wait till Trump signs something and your media tells you what to think.

Bro you're ridiculous. Honestly. It's pathetic how low in character you have become.
This crap is simply indefensible, yet here you are.

And that's why in my post I broke it down to groups. Republicans can't all be labeled under the same umbrella. IMO it's just not fair to say they're all alike.
You are also correct in saying that the current volatility in the political climate isn't anything new. It's been going on for decades and when looking at history, isn't some new phenomenon. I agree that it's gotten progressively worse.
We can see it on this very board. Some will make every excuse in the world for the actions of Trump. Some break it down and support some of his moves while calling others into question. Those are the thinkers and not the sheeple.

There's only a few of them attempting to stand up to trump, That's true but in most cases that will be enough... considering that I doubt any dem is going to EVER vote for anything Trump advocates.. then as long as a few are willing to stand up to him when they feel they need to.. at least he won't have a blank check to do whatever he wants... Now the real question will be, do they have the stones to stand up to those big money donors and advocate for some common sense when the time comes.

Sorry but you make no sense.
Because it hasn't been passed yet means what? The GOP created this bill, and it was passed in the house. This revised bill is similar to the house bill, that got PASSED.
Stop spinning. The conservative politicians that you voted for are trying to push this on the American people.
Stop acting like because it hasn't been voted on yet that it's not worth the discussion. You make me sick.

I haven't seen anyone supporting the Presidents tweet. Most have said, he said it and now will face the consequences.
Actually, that isn't true...the new Press Secretary (I don't know her name) has defended his tweets as has his wife who, curiously wants to devote her time to "cyber bullying". Regarding one way street/liberal insults. The President of the US should be above stooping to degrading twitter bullying insults. But, then again he ran a lowly, middle school playground style campaign where he even insulted the wife of one of his competitors. Why expect he would run the highest office any differently? In the end, I actually think this is all going to backfire on the Republicans. The more even the mods and the anti-Trump Republicans stand back and do little about it the more it will potentially harm the party.

Maybe, but we will see.
To your other point, that answer already seems to be a no. The Koch brothers just put the GOP on notice talking about the healthcare bill doesn't go far enough.
And that's scary. And it's scary that the threat of emptying those politicians pockets is more important than doing right for the American people.

The biggest complaint from the right was that Obamacare was pushed through without enough time to discuss, debate, modify, etc.. now they want to pass their own version through even faster with less time for debate and modification... I can't get behind that process, it's too damn important, why does this have to be rushed?

Actually, and maybe I'm wrong here, but it seems to me that enough senators have said they won't vote for this bill and that it wouldn't pass.
Is that right?
(and trust me, how the senate can spend time writing a bill that even they know won't pass is beyond me).

There's 4 senators who won't vote for the bill.
So there's 52 GOP senators right? They need 50 to pass.
2 of them said they won't vote because of the loss of coverage.
Well in theory they would have the 50 needed to psss.
But the other 2 are saying that the bill doesn't go FAR enough.
And that's freaking scary. That means if it was harsher, then they would have the votes to pass.

I just don't get why things that are so important, that actually impact the lives of everybody, are put on this timetable... I mean I get it, because they don't want people to really have time to dissect them to figure out how they are getting screwed.. but I don't get it because it just ain't right.

There have been a lot of things said both ways between Trump and the Morning Joe duo. There are no innocents in this case, as both sides have said some incredibly nasty things.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

I would expect more moral backbone. Stand up for what you believe in. Or, is it all about the mighty $? The Press Secretary could easily get another job somewhere else if she were fired for refusing to defend him. His wife...well, it just seems hollow the "cyber bullying" First Lady charity focus when her husband is a huge cyber bully. But, more to the point...40 said he hasn't seen anybody defend his use of Twitter and I highlighted two people who have circled around with multiple excuses for his behavior.

Once we accept that our president should not be held to a higher standard than journalists we have lost the war. Many on the right speak horribly about the media then make excuses why the president is just fine stooping to their level. If what journalists do is terrible, so is what Trump did. You can't have it both ways.

I agree with that.
But....I really don't want to sound like a jerk, but man, people TOLD others this was what the GOP was gonna do if they got the majority. Tax cuts for the wealthy, drop in healthcare coverage, etc.
The people voted for them anyway.
And from the articles, looks like a significant portion of people who will be negatively effected by this voted for trump in the general, and went red in congressional votes.
As I said before, while I seriously hope this doesn't pass, im having a hard time feeling bad for people who continuously vote for their own demise. It just simply makes no sense to me why people constantly voted against their own interest.

Dude, you're grasping at straws. His wife and his press secretary are doing their job. It may be a distasteful job, bit it's their job none the less.

Morning Joe has dedicated the day to insulting Trump today. Now don't be surprised if Trump sends another nasty tweet! With Trump, insults spewed is not a one way street.

BUT...the President should be above this behavior. There are expectations for this job and he isn't just some "joe" on the street nor is he a morning journalist on an entertainment/news/opinion show. He should be setting the highest example by not stopping to anybody's level nor getting fired up about criticism. If he can't take the heat or the criticism his skin is too thin and he chose the wrong job. By being publicly elected it means a percentage will be against you. As he lost the public vote it means a majority are against him and as he is hovering around high 30s approval rating that means nearly 60% of the country think unfavorably of him. Criticism is bound to be said and written. That is part of the job of a public official.

It will just further make him look like the immature child he has shown to be. I hope he does keep it up. People of his own party are being disgusted by it and only the Trumpians try to uphold this childish behavior.

And she got deservingly creamed for that. But she isn't currently president. Trump is. Trump is suppose to represent the very best of American character, integrity, and morals as POTUS. But he hasn't demonstrated one ounce of that.

Yes, that was uncalled for as well... and it served as a rallying cry for the right, in fact some people think the entire momentum of the election changed on that statement...

And just imagine how many of his supporters will be losing their healthcare over the lie he told during the election about not touching medicaid.
The funny thing is, not that many of you are deplorable. But it's easy to spot the ones who are.

Goes the same for liberals. Not all liberals are rioting in the streets. Far from it. In fact, I would say a lot of of the anarchist people rioting in Portland probably didn't even vote.
