Something I found interesting in the Healthcare debate... Remember how California said they were thinking of starting their own healthcare program? Well it ain't going so well... California Dems decry 'bullying,' death threats from the left after shelving health billCalifornia Democratic lawmakers are facing a brutal backlash from union activists and others on the left after shelving a universal health care bill – a debate that has grown so intense that lawmakers say they’ve faced death threats and other violent rhetoric. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/07/...ealth-bill.htmlWelcome to my World Califonia Democrats!

Trump admitted that he didn't.

Trump admitted that he didn't. And now that the Democrats and others who criticized Trump for saying it are themselves saying it. I find that funny. I also find it funny that the Liberals (democrats in calif) are now crying about the Liberals with their bullying and threats. Reminds me of the saying, "Never judge a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes."

You are just being foolish now. I said, "Who knew this would be so hard?"
I have heard it said on these boards and on the news as people criticized Trump for saying it. I never even suggested it was said in California.
Have fun though.

Who knew this would be so hard? The only person that didn't know it would be so hard is Trump... So I don't get why your laughing.. It's just not funny that the President of the USA, who said he could repeal and replace Obamacare in order to get elected, didn't know it was so hard. He's either an idiot or a liar.. I'll let you decide

I think by repealing it with 50 Republicans votes would end up bringing the Democrats into the mix as they would all have to work together for replacement.
Maybe not a bad idea.

The only singular entity who can, the United States Government. Privatized insurance is called "multi payer" because multiple entities "pay" for insurance. Like I've told many on here before, I cannot wait till they repeal Obamacare with no replacement. Watching the elderly, those with pre-existing conditions and others get kicked to the curb, while I am no longer forced to subsidize and buy insurance will be a great few years. It'll pave the way for single payer system.

You know the V.A is a single payor system....as a veteran, I will not step foot in a V.A hospital. Careful for what you wish for! Yep. The VA and Medicaid are both examples of a single payer health insurance program. And while they're not amazing, they are a lot better than multipayer systems. Of course they have room for improvement, as does most everything. That is what competition is about. Currently I am insured by the largest health care company in the United States. I do not have service to any of the doctors I see in my region. My Dad went in for a CT scan and blood work for a cancer screening and that was uncovered by UHC. Multipayer and single payer systems all have problems, not one solution has been perfect for everyone. However, actuarialy speaking, single payer system makes the most sense to keep costs down, ensure best treatments for everyone and the only way to raise wages for the American people.

Well, until a multipayer system becomes ranked in the top 10 for healthcare, I'm not sure how much of an opinion it truly is. It also doesn't change the acturial science behind single payer system. I think it's your opinion that single payer system is worse, because you live in a multipayer system and use a single payer option. It's kinda like taking an ATV out on the road. You can use it in that manner, but that's not exactly what it was built for.

You guys who support single payer healthcare must have missed the plight of little Charlie Gard – the brain-damaged British baby whose parents recently lost a legal battle to keep him on life support. The single payer says no! Shame! http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/07/...ealth-bill.html

Accept that's exactly what Trump promised wouldn't happen during his campaign. Just like he promised Medicaid wouldn't be cut. Of course he shouldn't be held to the standard of honesty you wish to hold Obama to. Obama said you could keep your doctor which turned out to be a lie. I had no problem that people called him out on that lie. Now Trump lies about healthcare and people act like it doesn't make any difference. Hypocrites much?

Weak leaders are gonna do what weak leaders are gonna do... So very true. The weakest leader in the history of this country had to buy friends and create this entitlement hungry country. 19 trillion in debt, Iran deal, failing Obamacare, releasing terrorists out of Gitmo to have them return to the battlefield, Bradley Manning, Red lines in Syria....the weak bastard can't even say ISIS!

Bannon urging tax hike on wealthiest Americans, source confirmsPresident Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon is pushing for a tax increase on the very wealthiest Americans, an administration source confirmed to Fox News. The source said Bannon wants "the top tax bracket to have a 4 in front of it." The current top income tax bracket right now is taxed at 39.6 percent. The source said Bannon wants higher taxes on the wealthiest earners in order to give a bigger tax break for the middle class and investments. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/07/...e-confirms.html

Weak leaders are gonna do what weak leaders are gonna do... No, weak leaders set up boondoggle programs that strong leaders are forced to fix. Weak leaders don't let tens of million people die a year because they do not have access to healthcare. Think about the discussion about Charlie, currently the courts are arguing if they should continue keeping a baby with a mitochondrial disease should continue to receive life support due to the cost to the insurer (Really no different than multipayer system) or whether they've done all they could. Now think about how lucky Charlie has had it considering he will have been on 11 months of life support for no cost to him. Now think if he was born in 2009 in America, his parents would be uninsured and they would have to pay a ton of money to have him be on life support for just a couple of days, before they would have to pull the plug due to funding. It's a shame either way. But at least a single payer system granted him a chance at life, even if the British courts are destroying that.

I hope you guys realize that taxing the rich will help increase tax revenue now that even the moron of Breitbart realizes it.

I challenge you to find a case where any parents in the US have pulled the plug on their child due to funding.

You know it can cost 100k a year to keep someone alive, right? Why do you think people are taken off of life support? Because their family wants to see them dead or because that family doesn't want to live in crippling debt?
