In early trading today oil is well over the $72/barrel mark. Gas out in Mentor is at 2.99 and I have a feeling we'll be seeing $3 in no time! At least Speedway is offering 5 cents off a gallon with their rewards card!

Ummm...2.99 is actually 2.99 & 9/10 which is 1/10 of a cent from being $3.

Oil will spike and fall all the way through the heavy driving season.

dpg - $3 is a huge psychological level for consumers and traders. When more and more people start paying 3 bucks or more, it'll be interesting to see the discussions that ensue.

Oil currently on the door of 73/barrel.

Actually, prices at the pump seem to be doing well. Last time oil was $70+ a gallon, I seem to remember paying close to $4 a gallon. It's been $70+ for a week and a half now, and it's barely over $3 here.

I heard on the radio this morning that some report was just released that warned of a major oil crisis in the next 5 years due to growing world demand. We've all heard it before, but the somewhat disturbing part is that it came from like the IEA or something.

I knew I should have filled up at $2.89 last night, but I was tired on the way home. I went past the pump on my way home tonight and it was $3.19 and I thought I'd pass again. Now, after reading this, I'm thinking about heading out and filling up at that price...

Giant Eagle awards Baby !! I fill up for free ( not really ) but it does feel good looking at .01 on the pump as my tank gets full.

Hey, what do you know... this oil trader just might know a thing or two about how this stuff works.

During the day it hit 73/barrel but quickly came back to the 72.6 area. If this thing can bust thru 73, hang on!

Thanks for that heads up - filled up late this morning at 11:45 before lunch at $3.09. On my way home at 5ish, the price was $3.49 (same station). And this is way out in the suburbs, 45 minutes from downtown.

$4.00 is my top limit,...and if my employer takes away my company vehicle (to-and-from home privileges), I will quit and ride a bike to the closest employer to home I can find.

We'll see $4 sooner or later, so be ready for it. We're a ways from that, but it will happen. Look how quickly we got to $3. I was just thinking last week or so that 2.85 was a bargain at Speedway and now today I paid 3.14.

I filled up this morning at 2.99 in Oregon, went fishing for 2 hrs. and it was 3.29 at the same station on the return trip.

Buying all of our groceries at Kroger got us 30% off for a month. That's a healthy chunk of change at these prices. I'll bet more people will take advantage of this deal.

Oil is clearly over the 73/barrel mark everyone. Just a PSA brought to you by your fellow Browns fan! Wonder how soon we'll see 74/barrel....
