One thing I noticed certain colleges really put out really consistant players in the NFL at one position I never thought of Auburn as a hot spot for WRs. LBs yeah DE sure O lineman yes. WRS not so much Who.was the last great WR Auburn ever had? I just don't see Louis really becoming this productive End zone monster His types are a dime a dozen in the NFL . Fast off the line acceleration but can't read coverages to save his life

Certain colleges put superior players at particular positions History has shown that Auburn ran a very run 1st offense under Malzhan. Louis was very inconsistant his last year at Auburn He barely broke 1300 yds for his career at Auburn I just don't see him being this great WR at this level

I was under the assumption that Louis was a ST type player (he excelled at Auburn) ... he played way more WR last year than I expected, which probably speaks volumes to the other rookies
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I believe that he has a ton of room to grow. We'll see if he can do so.

I get that you guys relish in making fun of people who question the Browns, but are you denying that certain programs are known for producing players who are good at certain positions and not so good at others? You snarkily bring up ND. But, they have had both good and bad qbs. They had Montana, Beurlein, and Theisman. But, they've had BQ, Mirer, Tony Rice, Powless, Clausen, etc. I see no real definitive pattern there. Now, look at Ohio State. Which qbs have they produced that ended up really good in the NFL? Contrarily, is it safe to say that OSU has produced a ton of good secondary players and WRs? Now, let's get to Auburn. Can you name quite a few WRs who have played there that have been good NFL players? On the other hand, they are known for producing offensive linemen, linebackers, and running backs. Let's look at the latter.......off the top of my head: Bo, Joe Cribbs, Tucker Fredrickson, Ben Tate, James Brooks, Cadillac Williams, Ronnie Brown, and Stephen Davis. That's impressive. So, while you guys make fun of another poster for not being a homer, I think that there might actually be some truth to his claim.

We should draft every WR from Georgia Tech.
Because Megaton went there.

Megaton? Isn't he that fat WR who played in the CFL?
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

LOl....Ole' Jared. He was a tub when at Kentucky, but the kid could toss the rock, on point, deep or short.
I think he stuck with the Giants 3-4 years. Maybe 2-3.

Excerpt from his wikipedia page Professional career[edit] New York Giants[edit] Lorenzen was not selected in the 2004 NFL Draft and signed as undrafted free agent with the New York Giants.[10] In the 2006 preseason, Lorenzen led his team to victory by engineering a game-winning drive against the Baltimore Ravens. Following that performance and an impressive training camp he was officially named the Giants backup quarterback three weeks later. Lorenzen made his first appearance on the field in a Giants uniform on December 30, 2006. During this game, he was used for one play, a quarterback sneak to make a first down on a third-and-one. Lorenzen made his second appearance on Sunday, January 7, 2007, in the Giants wild card loss against the Philadelphia Eagles. On the Giants opening drive, he lined up at quarterback on a third-and-one and got the first down, "shifting the pile" in the process, on the way to a Giants touchdown. He also entered the game in the third quarter, but the Giants called a timeout and Manning took over at quarterback. Lorenzen's first significant regular season appearance occurred on September 9, 2007, when he took over for the injured Manning in the fourth quarter of the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.[11] Lorenzen made both his first regular season pass and rush, but failed to earn a first down. He did not see further action in the 2007 season, because Manning's injury did not cost him any further playing time. Lorenzen was released by the Giants on June 23, 2008.[12] Indianapolis Colts[edit] On July 24, 2008, Lorenzen was signed by the Indianapolis Colts. He was waived during the final cuts for the 53-man roster. Kentucky Horsemen[edit] On February 10, 2009, Lorenzen was assigned to the Kentucky Horsemen of af2.[13] The team went bankrupt and was dissolved in October 2009. Coaching[edit] After the Horsemen folded, Lorenzen retired as a player. On March 23, 2010, he was hired as the quarterbacks coach at his alma mater, Highlands High School, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky.[14] Northern Kentucky River Monsters[edit] In 2011, Lorenzen went back to pro football, this time as working as the general manager of the Northern Kentucky River Monsters of the Ultimate Indoor Football League.[15] Still wanting to compete (and despite being well over 300 lbs at the time), Lorenzen resigned as GM to become the team's starting quarterback.[16] Lorenzen had a highly successful season, winning the league's MVP award.[17] UIFL Commissioner[edit] After gaining some positive press for his return to football, Lorenzen was named commissioner of the league after the 2011 season.[1] Owensboro Rage[edit] Still wanting to play, Lorenzen quit the UIFL's top job and signed with the Owensboro Rage of the Continental Indoor Football League partway through the 2013 season.[18] The Rage folded two weeks prior to the end of the season due to financial distress. Return to the River Monsters[edit] Lorenzen returned to the River Monsters, by this point a member of the Continental Indoor Football League, on December 17, 2013.[19] In Lorenzen's first game of the season, the now-320 pound Lorenzen showed that he still had plenty of skill, side-stepping defenders. Lorenzen's play was filmed and the videos ended up all over the internet, overshadowing the River Monsters' 36–20 victory of the Bluegrass Warhorses.[20] The following week, however, Lorenzen broke his tibia in a 42–30 loss to the Erie Explosion, ending his season (and, to date, his pro playing career).[21][22] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jared_Lorenzen

Jerry Rice - Mississippi Valley State Terrell Owens - UT-Chat Randy Moss - Marshall albeit he could have went to ND. Calvin Johnson - GA Tech Steve Largent - Tulsa Marvin Harrison - Syracuse I just think it's better to stick to performance when judging players. And I don't think anyone has touted Louis to be the next best thing, but he has shown progress (per the coaches and from what I've seen on clips from camp).

I must be slipping if you didn't get my sarcasm. lol However, re-reading things, perhaps you did after all. Well done on the "scales". I should hang out with Jared. I'd look ...... less fat next to him. (though I should be careful with that much "hanging out")

Is that pic even real? I don't know how a professional athlete could get that freaking fat, unless he's a golfer or bowler.

PFF: Browns passing game is not the league’s worst https://dawgpounddaily.com/2017/07/07/pff-cleveland-browns-passing-not-worst/The Cleveland Browns passing game is still very much a work in progress, but at least it is not the league’s worst, according to Pro Football Focus. It may be damning with faint praise, but the Cleveland Browns do not have the worst passing attack in the NFL. That is according to the analytics website Pro Football Focus, which ranked the passing games of each of the league’s 32 teams. And the site determined that the Browns currently reside at No 29: In limited action last season, but still enough to qualify among quarterbacks, QB Cody Kessler finished with a 78.2 adjusted completion percentage – fifth highest. However, among those qualified quarterbacks, he had thrown the fourth-fewest passes. Kessler has shown potential, but will be fighting off rookie DeShone Kizer every step of the way and needs to increase his volume of big plays. WR Kenny Britt may become a welcome addition as he saw averaged 2.00 yards per route run, 16th highest last season. After that, it’s unproven Corey Coleman and rookie tight end David Njoku rounding out the top threats in Cleveland. It is a fair assessment of the situation, as hard as that may be for Browns fans to hear. The Cody Kessler bandwagon is filling up daily, but he is also still a novice quarterback, one who went 0-8 as a starter in 2016 (make of that what you will), took too many sacks (21), and was unable (or unwilling) to throw the ball deep, much to the chagrin of head coach Hue Jackson. A year ago, Brock Osweiler was the hot free agent quarterback after going 5-2 for the Denver Broncos during their Super Bowl-winning season. The Broncos wanted to give him big money, as did the Houston Texans, and Osweiler ultimately decided to sign with Houston and their quarterback-killing coach Bill O’Brien. Fourteen starts, 16 interceptions and a benching later, Osweiler is now in Cleveland. DeShone Kizer may have the most promising future of the position group, but after playing just two seasons at Notre Dame, no one who understands the quarterback position at the NFL believes that Kizer should see the field this fall. It is all not doom and gloom, however. Even with their various shortcomings, the quarterback group is better than a year ago when the Browns had Kessler, journeyman Josh McCown and a broken Robert Griffin III on the roster. This is Kessler’s second season in Jackson’s offensive system, which can only help. Osweiler is obviously not worth the $16 million the Browns will pay him this season, thanks to the contract he signed with the Texans, but he showed in 2015 with the Broncos that there is something to work with. Kizer, while not yet ready, has the most promise of any quarterback the Browns have drafted since Tim Couch in 1999. The receiving group may also turn out to be better than people are giving them credit for, although that comes with several caveats. Second-year receiver Corey Coleman needs to stay healthy, veteran Kenny Britt needs to show his first 1,000-yard season in 2016 was not a fluke, someone from the group of Rashard Higgins, Ricardo Louis and Jordan Payton needs to step up, and rookie tight end David Njoku needs to adjust to the NFL game in a hurry. The good news is, when you are ranked No. 29, there is no where to go but up.

And staying at 29 isn't preferred either.

The good news is, when you are ranked No. 29, there is no where to go but up. Where some internet site ranks the Browns passing game 'before' the season starts, is not that important...
...where the Browns passing game ranks 'after' the 2017 season, is important and tells much more about the players drafted in 2016 and 2017.

Room for optimism is not entirely crazy. A famous general once said quantity has a quality all it's own. If you factor in the youth and 2nd year development of all the tight ends and receivers, including Rannell Hall who has been talked up and Seth DeValve, who there's got to be some reason they kept him; then hopes of a spread around, almost average passing attack could come to fruition. Race to be the first Brown with 37 catches on the year begins Sept. 8th.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
