Why do conservatives hate people who have to see a doctor?

They don't. The last I heard they were allowing the States to set up the healthcare they want, whether it be single payer or otherwise and the Feds would send them money each year for those with preexisting conditions to be in a State Pool because they are more costly.

I don't really follow this stuff so I don't know details.

Only they will be cutting the funding by well over 700 billion dollars. So as you can see, they want to send a fraction of the money it will take to actually do the job.

McConnell keeps putting that exemption in every iteration of Trumpcare hoping we don't notice... then he simply pulls the exemption after being called on it. Despicable.

Didn't that happen under Obama care as well?

Not getting "political" here........but didn't O care have minimum standards everyone was supposed to have/pay for?

And if you were fortunate to have health care provided by your employer, that met or exceeded the minimum requirements, you could keep that health care?

If that supposition is true - and let's face it, gov't. employees for the most part get that..........what's the big deal?

Let's go all "congress" here. Their health care is paid for by us. Yup, it's better than 90-95% of us commoners.

Why is it now a problem?

(and let me add this: I would love it if congress, and gov't. employees were required to do 1 of 2 things: abide by the rules they put out for others, OR, allow the "others" to have the same health care congress, etc, has. And I know the latter is not economically feasible at this point.....maybe I should say "financially" feasible?)

Replace and repeal is dead...it's just REPEAL now for the GOP. So roughly 30 million GOP voters who voted for Trump will be losing part of their mandated HC coverage. Millions more will lose all of their HC coverage if repealed.

Thanks and enjoy!

"Obamacare" it's all about the name. The GOP doesn't want Obama's name on anything ... period end of story.

Ever since Obamacare was put into law, the republicans have been attempting to repeal it.

I think something like 61 attempts thus far. Many of those when the republicans have control of the house and the senate.. Not the White House.

Now they have the House, Senate and White House and STILL can't get it done.

I guess they found out that it's not as easy as they think..

You are exactly right, Who Knew?

If they push a straight repeal through, it will cost the HUGE! Looks like they might want to consider single payer... Trump needs a win.

I just watched Paul Ryan blame the Democrats for a failure in the senate to pass a repeal and replace plan for Obamacare.

That guy is an idiot. Republicans have the House and Senate majority and the White House and they can't figure it out.

Let's not forget that McConnell locked out all democrats from the private discussion on the plan. LOCKED THEM OUT of the discussion.

and now the idiot Ryan blames the Democrats? He's a jackarse of the highest order.. Just like McConnell and Trump.

Now they want to repeal without a plan to replace or repair Obamacare.

For the record, I'd support anything that improved Obamacare. But to Repeal it and not replace it is lunacy.

2018 can't come soon enough.

the rally cry of the Republicans and Trump was to replace ObamaCare. So far, they have put up inferior plans AND Trump publicly admitted his stupidity when he said something to the effect of "we didn't realize how complicated it would be".

How about they just do what most 1st world countries do and take a portion of one's paycheck and put it towards a national health care. It seems to work well in many other countries. And, you are already paying a portion of one's paycheck to get a substandard health care anyway. Plus, lets remove the enormous profits by pharmaceuticals, hospitals and doctors and not have it a multi-billion/trillion dollar "for profit" industry.

Our priorities are seriously screwed.

Let's not forget after the House passed their version of repeal and replace, Trump touted it as the answer to all and that the Senate needs to get it approved ASAP. Sometime after that, he called house bill "MEAN"

I've never seen a President poke and prode congress as much as this idiot does, then throw them under a bus.

No offense but you have to know this is what it's all about with the GOP.

They have to make HC in the U.S. a muti-billion/trillion dollar industry so the 1% can get their multi-trillion dollar tax cuts. It's all related to new tax code.

So this is what we get?

A Senate and a President who will on their good conscience play games and allow this to happen? This isn't a Senate that deserve their job because they will all continue with their health care and our Prez is a multi-millionaire. Meanwhile the hard working people in America will go broke or uninsured.

Way to go Republicans. thumbsdown

What a joke.

I must have missed something. I thought O care was the law, and will continue to be, as the republicans can't even come up with something to replace it that they can agree on.

Did I miss a news cycle?

what happened to it? why is he just pushing this on congress?

where's the leadership at?

He had a plan but then it had to go to congress because that is the law. They botched it so far.

The plan he had was terrible and inferior to what we currently have. So far, they can't seem to get their heads out of their @$# to come up with something that is even remotely decent. So yea, the blame falls on Trump and the GOP because this is a significant issue that they campaigned on and so far they are continuing to look like bumbling idiots.

Your Dems are the dummies for approving ObamaCare and dropping that boondoggle in the Republicans lap.

Now you want the Republicans to develop a Medical Welfare Program!

I'm glad the ACA got approved.

not the dems fault the republicans suck at their jobs. at least the Dems could unite and get something passed.

republicans can't stop stepping on their own feet. but of course it's the dems fault y'all cant walk in a straight line.

I love how one side of the aisle acts like Obama stripped everyone of phenomenal health care.
