The shooter died of his injuries didn't he?

Yes, justice was served on the spot.

Pretty sure he died in the hospital in custody that day.

I'm not going to shed a tear for the shooter and it doesn't bother me at all that we will be spared the expense and coverage of a lengthy trial.. on the other hand, I sometimes wonder if maybe we could learn something if they actually lived to provide us some insight into what leads people to this breaking point.. Instead we are left to piece together the story with e-mails, web search history, and testimony for friends and family who generally all can't believe it happened....

He stood, he spoke and he looked like he has been through the wringer but his being alive is a miracle. He said as much and thanked everyone for the prayers.

He said while he was laying on the field and praying, he suddenly heard the sound change on the shots that were ringing out.
He knew this was the sound of Capitol Police returning fire and that he had a chance.

A good friend of mine .........had a college room mate, that was also shot.

He's made a full recovery as well. Just last weekend my friend was showing me pictures of the guy. (I don't remember his name right now though)

I'm glad he has recovered or is on his way to a full recovery. I have to admit that I hoped he would retire after this.
