Dear SNEBB, It's Draft Day. Come join us at The Shade Bar & Grill. Let's show them that SNEBB is alive and barking. The more, the merrier. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible. Should be a great night for Browns fans in New England. Hope you can make it. Scott

Need some more Draft Day chatter? From the beloved SNEBB President Bacon: Dear SNEBB, It seems I've been called out to offer my opinion on the draft, so here it is (for what it's worth). Round 1A: I know there are some shortcomings to Myles Garrett. He's been known to sit down on certain plays, and run his mouth a bit, but if the Browns passed on him with their #1, I literally would have thrown in the towel and the Browns upper management under the bus. We absolutely made the right choice here. Round 1B: I may be biased, but Hooker (or Allen) made much more sense to me here than the free range boy from up north. If for some reason Jabrill is able to fulfill many different needs and keep the other team guessing what we will use him for next, I may be more accommodating to his presence. However, most Cleveland fans don't go out of their way to support Wolverines. (Hello Braylon) Round 1C: Njoku is a great pick at #29. He will give whatever QB we have that can't throw long and option to dink the shorter option. Getting rid of Barnidge right after still makes no sense to me. It's not like we're inundated with receiver talent in spite of last year's draft. Round 2: Kizer may surprise us, but he's too young, and too inexperienced to be any part of next year...and... next year's QB draft is so much more impressive to have gone this direction now. Round 3: I like Ogunjobi, but he's coming from Charlotte. Need I say more. Besides, I feel Shelton is improving that middle D by himself. Rounds 4 & 5: Wilson and Johnson were picked based on needs at those positions. Neither will start, and probably not be significant factors. Round 6: I know Caleb may not have the where-with-all to even make it to September without numerous off-field infractions, but at #185 how can you blame management for testing the water. If he's focused, he could be awesome. Round 7A: I like this pick! At #224 we may have another Phil Dawson in the making. And, this guy can kick long field goals. I hear he may miss some bunnies, though, at first. Besides, kicking on the Lake is a bit different than the desert. Round 7B: Who?
And there it is...

In case you're interested in some Browns fans' news and info:
I got this from the beloved SNEBB President Scott Bacon this morning.
Dear Loyal Browns Backer,
The Southern New England Browns Backers are preparing to initiate their 30th year of association with the Cleveland Browns, and it’s that time of year to commence our 2017 Membership Drive. With 396 clubs in the Browns Backers Worldwide Organization, our club number (#41) ranks amongst the oldest. That number is actually lower since many of the earlier clubs are no longer affiliated. In spite of rising inflation, our club has not increased their membership dues in the 18 years I have been president. Yet, we still maintain the tradition of raffling quality Browns merchandise during halftime at our meeting location on Sunday. In the past we have offered both the opportunity to travel to Cleveland for a home game, host special events like the Draft Day Party in April and the end of the year Chow Down in December, as well as maintain a warm, friendly viewing location for our Sunday gathering. Members also receive updated Club News through our internet email system throughout the season and off season if their current email address is on file. Our viewing location is now at The Shade Bar & Grill, 16 Ella Grasso Turnpike in Windsor Locks, CT.
Our Facebook page continues to grow. Matt and Bela created and are the administrators of the site, and they have included me as an administrator. It is a “Closed” group meaning anyone can view the site, but only members can write and view posts. You must be a member of Facebook to join. If you are a Facebook member and choose to participate, go to “Southern New England Browns Backers” on the Facebook search engine and ask to join us. Once requested, either Matt, Bela, or I (whoever gets to you first) will admit you to our “Closed” group. At the present time, we have 86 Facebook members.
The Browns Backers Worldwide has purged their old membership list and initiated a new portal for members to join local clubs. If you have never belonged to the BBW, you must go to the Cleveland Browns website, click on “Dawgpound”, “Browns Backers”, “Become a Backer”, fill out the profile, and select the local club in which you wish to affiliate. I will receive your request and admit you to SNEBB. At the present time, we have 71 members.
In spite of numerous complaints to the BBW administration from myself and the Presidents’ Leadership Council, Group Ticket offers for us to attend a home game together still haven’t changed for the better, only offering 500 section seating; not guaranteeing seats together. Last year, there wasn’t enough interest to attempt other options. Please keep in mind, I always have an ear open to consider future opportunities. I truly miss our yearly sojourn to the Homeland.
To be included in all this year’s festivities, please print and complete the attached form at your earliest convenience, include your annual dues, and mail it back to me at the address above. Once completed, you will qualify for full privileges of membership to the Southern New England Browns Backers. Active 2016 members who do not re-apply by the season opener will remain on our internet mailing list for a one year grace period in hopes of your return to the fold, but will not qualify for other member privileges. Previous members, unfortunately, will be removed from the mailing list. If you have any questions, or wish to comment on any aspect of SNEBB or the Browns upcoming season, don’t hesitate jotting me a line, and I’ll do my best to accommodate you. I look forward to “Barking” with all of you. Once again, welcome and GO BROWNS!!!
Scott…
P.S. If you have recently applied for membership onto the “new” BBW roster or our Facebook page, and have been accepted into that aspect of the SNEBB family, please jot me an email and let me know what future considerations you may or may not have in initiating a full SNEBB membership. If I am aware of your intentions, I may be able to assist you better.

Hey, I think The Clobster is wearing Brock Osweiler's number.
I think at the time The Clobster was made the SNEBB mascot the #17 was for Brian Sipe.

It's a sad day in Southern New England. Scott Bacon announced his resignation as president of The Southern New England Browns Backers. (SNEBB) Scott kept this club together for 18 years. 18 miserable years for Browns fans. Scott and his wife are moving to Rhode Island to spend their "Fourth Quarter" summers by the ocean beaches. In the fall he plans on attending Browns games with the Ocean State Browns Backers in Narragansett, Rhode Island. I imagine several trips are planned for winter. Scott took over the club in 1999 when the Browns returned from Modell's betrayal. In those 18 years the Browns have played and lost one play-off game. It was a pleasure knowing you Scott. Scott front and to the right wearing his invariable #17 Brian Sipe jersey.
