To be honest - good debate isn't even about changing minds. I have many Libertarian friends and we disagree strongly about a lot. But we love going back and forth with our opinions without ever expecting to change the others mind.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me. I am conservative on many issue and center left on many others. But I will happily challenge anyone to back up their position or statements with some substance. Agreeing to disagree is fine.

And proof the Trump attempted to obstruct justice is obvious: he fired Comey, he repeatedly asked about the investigation into himself, he wanted Comey to just let it go with Flynn, he wanted Sessions and others to make the Russia thing go away, he told the Russians and a reporter why he fired Comey, AND he's looking for a way to get rid of Mueller.

And actually Comey's notes are proof. those type of notes are used as evidence all the time, that's why he wrote them.

Lynch was the AG at the time while Comey was her subordinate as head of the FBI. Comey testified under oath that she ordered him to refer to it as a Matter and not an Investigation. That is Obstruction. That is why she is now under investigation.

Lynch is not under investigation for changing the word investigation to "matter" .... she is under investigation for potentially inappropriate communication with the Clinton's. As she she should be as described by Comey and as one of his reasons for how he handled the Hilary email scandal/announcement.

I am sure you don't see the irony of you trashing Comey in one post and then using his testomony as your foundation of conviction on another.

He stated that he was asked to downplay the investigation to the media.

He did not say he was asked in any way to let up on the investigation.

Trump "I hope you will see your way to letting Flynn go, he's a good man" ... That is giving direction and pressure relating to how to HANDLE an investigation.

Lynch telling Comey to call in investigation a matter in front of the media is NOT directing or putting pressure on how to handle the investigation.

However. With that said and what you FAIL to understand. . . If Lynch is guilty of anything then prosecute her. I believe there is enough of a red flag from Comey's testimony and Lynch's meeting with Bill to warrant in investigation. . . . That's because I am interested in truth to power.

You say Comey's comment PROVE something (which they absolutely do not) but then pretend that ALL of the STINK over Trump, his link to the Russians and all of his cronies ongoing revisions and more revisions and finally more revisions to their stories and contacts with Russians is all fake news and there is nothing to investigate...... It is obstruction because she ordered him!!! Ordered him to downplay the incident. That is different than firing him. Trump states that he fired Comey because he was incompetent. As long as Trump or someone from his team does not come out and state as fact that Trump fired Comey because he was attempting to stop the investigation there is nothing to see here. Trump is the boss and he can fire someone for not doing their job when he decides. That is what a boss can do. The media can speculate all they want why Comey was fired but they have to have solid proof.

In this case she ordered. That is the difference.

Believe what you want. Asking for an investigation to be called a matter to the media but not asking for the investigation to be interfered with is not obstruction. That doesn't mean that Lynch is not guilty of something.

you are right, ordering is different than asking. But I still don't think that it legally raises this to obstruction UNLESS there is much more to it. However that meeting with Bill Clinton looks fishy as hell and I definitely think there might be some trouble there.
