Trump hits new low in pollsQuinnipiac and Gallup surveys show that only a third of American voters approve of the president's performance. By JAKE LAHUT 08/02/2017 President Donald Trump has watched his ratings decline for months, but on Wednesday two respected polls showed that only a third of American voters view him favorably — a new low less than 200 days into his presidency A new Quinnipiac University Poll has the president’s approval rating falling to 33 percent, while Gallup shows it at 36 percent. Quinnipiac's measurement is the lowest in the poll's tracking of the Trump administration thus far, and Gallup's is the lowest three-day average it has registered. While Gallup tracks voter opinions daily, Quinnipiac's latest survey delves deeper into beliefs about the president, showing him hitting new lows across the board. Of the voters surveyed by Quinnipiac, 61 percent disapproved of Trump's job performance, with over 60 percent also saying he “is not honest,” “does not have good leadership skills” and “does not share their values.”“It’s hard to pick what is the most alarming number in the troubling trail of new lows for President Donald Trump,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac poll. Support among Republicans is still strong — 77 favorable, 17 percent unfavorable — but respondents overall also rewarded Republican lawmakers, who have bucked the president on key issues. Sen. John McCain of Arizona, who last week cast the decisive vote against repealing Obamacare, enjoys a 57 percent approval rating in the Quinnipiac poll, with 32 percent disapproving of his performance. (Only 30 percent of Republicans approved, while 49 percent disapproved.) Men, who consistently backed Trump during the campaign, split almost evenly in the Quinnipiac poll: 47 percent favorable and 48 percent unfavorable. On the Russia controversy, 63 percent of those surveyed by Quinnipiac believe that Moscow interfered in the 2016 election, 30 percent say Trump did something illegal, and 30 percent say he did something unethical. Jared Kushner, Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law, had similar numbers in the poll. More than two-thirds of voters — 69 percent — say Trump should stop sending messages from his personal Twitter account, the Quinnipiac poll’s largest showing of opposition to his tweeting thus far. The Quinnipiac poll was conducted among 1,125 self-identified voters from July 27 to Aug. 1 nationwide and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points. Live interviews were conducted on both landlines and cellphones. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/08/02/donald-trump-approval-rating-poll-241251 So the people talking about how great Trump is and supporting/defending everything he does are obviously NOT in the majority, nor are they mainstream.

Unless or until he starts keeping his promises in a REAL way, the slide will continue.
One of the things that helped him get elected and still causes people to support him is that he made promises like Repeal and Replace and as he put it, it could happen on the first day of his presidency. Of course most reasonable people knew that was bull... Simple campaign rhetoric. I just can't believe even his most ardent supporters believed that could happen.
But we are 6+ months in and at the moment at least, Repeal and replace is dead. Heck, even just flat out repeal is dead. And that's with his party having control of the house and senate.
But now the steady drip drip drip of information that is coming in that is totally negative sure isn't helping things for Trump. (yeah, I know, fake news or so he says about everything that doesn't make him look good)
But, he can still fix it. All he has to do is be a LEADER.
Go to congress, force them to sit down with their counterparts across the isle, force them to work together to come up with a plan that actually works to fix healthcare in America.
This twitter king has to stop. He needs to be smarter. He may need to follow the lead of General Kelly. Kelly isn't a yes man.

President Trump is running strong with the voters who supported him in 2016, according to a new poll and fresh focus groups conducted this month for the University of Virginia Center for Politics. The data, released Thursday, showed Trump with a 93 percent approval rating among voters nationally that supported him in November; 42 percent of them "strongly" approved, 51 percent "somewhat" approved. Nearly 20 percent, however, said that the president's prolific Twitter habit occasionally causes them to second-guess their vote. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/poll-t...article/2621410

93% of how many that supported him. It's a misleading stat.
If 44% of the population supported him, then it's 93% of that 44% that still support him. Meaning he's down even among his supporters.

We have to cut the polls some slack as it is not easy to get answers from people on the floor in the fetal position.

I'm sure 40 will fight this too, reality isn't something that he does well. 62,979,879 people voted for Trump in November 93% of that number (rounded up) is 58,571,288 That isn't 44% of the population (current estimate is 323.1 million), it is only 18% of the population. But still, you are 100% correct, he's down even among is supporters.

Of course he is down in the polls, that wasn't the point. 100 percent of the people who voted for him supported him. Today 93 percent of those same people support him. I never said he rose in the polls. I do say that 93 percent is still pretty good. BUT... When is 93 percent not 93 percent? Check in with Daman, Clwb419 and CNN.

Nobody mentioned you said he rose in the polls. You refuted Damans post and called him fake news (which is like crying wolf at this point, people just ignore those words anymore) when the only mistake he made was using 44% (I presume he meant 44% of voters). I gave you real data and numbers and you try to twist that. You should get a job in the administration, you'd fit in really well.

I never said he rose in the polls. I do say that 93 percent is still pretty good. No, it's not good. It's going in the wrong direction, it's a trend toward more people leaving him than coming to him... Trump had almost 63 million votes.. losing 7% of them is almost 4.5 million people who voted for him, now essentially saying they wouldn't. spin it however you want, that ain't good.

NOT ONLY THAT .... Anyone pay attention to the DATE of that article. APRIL. Hmmmm. Anyone want to debate if his ratings have gone up or down since April? Even among his core? I heard that for the first time, one of Trump's core - the uneducated white males - he's now only at a 43% approval rating. It's never been below 50% before. But nothing to see - it's fake news and fake polls. . . . FOR SURE>
The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

Well...one thing that may be masked too is the group of people who voted for him who didn't approve of him to begin with. They looked at Trump and thought "wow, this is awful." Then they looked across the aisle and thought, "well, he's not that bad..." I'd go out on a limb and say that actually constitutes a fairly large amount of people.
The Democrats can laugh at the debacle that we've witnessed, but when they rig primaries and put forth a candidate who's as out of touch as Marie Antoinette, I'd behoove them to not start pointing fingers and deflecting blame for losses.

Only 44% of America didn't vote for him.
This was an election of which candidate was the least worse. If the Dems get their heads out of their rear ends and find a decent candidate to run they can crush him. Hillary just sucked so bad almost anyone could have beaten here, and did.

It was a choice of which bad choice was the lesser. I dispised it. Mitt would have wine in a landslide. Hillary wrapped the dem party around a myth and did not deliver. She is what she Is. The last remnant of the Clinton lie or it dempends upon what is is. We had the choice between the overt liar and the sneaky liar. At least the overt liar gets called on his BS in seconds.

That'll teach them. I would see it as the Nation putting an end to supporting Mothers who kill their children for Economic and Birth Control reasons. I would see it as an opportunity to defend the innocent lives of the American inside the other American, who being a separate person, deserves the protections of our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness are inalienable. I would see it as protecting the Rights of the Mother to control her own body by being responsible for her body and at the same time protecting the Rights of the person within. I would see Abortion as a Medical decision instead of a Birth Control decision. If the Mother's life is threatened by the Child within or if she was raped, the Mother's Right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness takes precedence. Economic considerations do not justify the killing of a child or the removing of that child's Rights under the Constitution.

What ever it takes to save the life of millions of babies.
The women still have the freedom of choice. 1. Choose to have the baby and keep it. 2. Choose to put the baby up for adoption. 3. Choose to have the baby and let the father raise him/her. 4. Choose to keep her legs closed.
The father also should have the choice to 1. Raise the baby themselves if the wife does not want to. 2. Pay child support 3. Keep their pants zipped.

This is one fight I have so little knowledge of. Best for me to stay out of it, but I'd like to make a simple point.
Go back to a time in your lives when you were teenagers.. Remember what it was like to try and get lucky by the dashboard lights and tell me how good you'd be keeping your legs closed or your pants zipped.

Yes and they should be punished for the rest of their lives by struggling to raise a child while they themselves are borderline children with no work experience or training. That'll teach them a good life lesson. And the child they raise will obviously be raised in such stability it surely will have a great life plan in its teens too. Utopia achieved! All purple. I do know that Planned Parenthood is the only care some women get. Seems to do a lot of good in that regard. Maybe there is a way to keep the good that it does and disband the bad? I wonder, do we always have to throw the baby out with the Bath water? (probably a bad metaphor)

I wonder, do we always have to throw the baby out with the Bath water? (probably a bad metaphor) WOW ... they were caught on camera MULTIPLE TIMES saying it ... we didn't even get to see all the VIDEOS cause a judge wouldn't let them release anymore ... At least this time u only shocked me and didn't lower my IQ ... so good job ...

Just saying, it's youth doing what youth does.
Yes and they should be punished for the rest of their lives by struggling to raise a child while they themselves are borderline children with no work experience or training. That'll teach them a good life lesson. And the child they raise will obviously be raised in such stability it surely will have a great life plan in its teens too. Utopia achieved! All purple. Deeeeep deeeeep purple. Yeah and we surely don't want the staff members at Planned Parenthood to miss out on their lifelong dream of buying an exotic sports car buy selling harvested human body parts of partial birth abortions either I thought that was debunked as a myth cooked up by the right in order to build support for the shelving of planned parenthood. Because you follow the Liberal Propaganda. Story is true, Video is real and Planned Parenthood said they would stop the practice.

IN all honesty, I'll take your and Diam's word for it.. But really, I didn't see any videos on Fox, CNN or any of the normal stations.
So you answered one question, what about the good they do, or do you just want to be one sided?
