The reports the last few days since Brock has been working with the 1's in practice is that the team is looking vey good.

Brock has the most experience, and no matter what some think, he has talent. This is his shot to put it together. My hope is his years of experience will put him in a position to not only keep the job, but actually pull away and put to rest this QB talk in Cleveland for many years.

That is the best thing that can happen.
If this is what happens, Sashi will look like a genius for that trade.

Lets hope so. That would free up those 1st rounders next year to select something other than a QB. I am afraid that if Kiser starts, he won't pull away enough in his 1st year that we will know we are set with him and still have to think QB in next years draft.

He might be able to do that, I just don't think it will happen in year 1. I would be very happy to see Kiser become our Grappolo where 2-3 years down the road teams are wanting him for 1st round picks.

Sometimes coaches say things so their players, in this case QB's, don't feel like they're being thrown under the bus. It really means nothing.

The thing is, you have to be able to figure out when that's being done.

In terms of QB play and the offense in general, I'll wait until we see a bunch of preseason live action before I begin to draw any real conclusions.

There have been too many times where this guy or that guy was given all the love in training camp to just come out and flop when the games matter.

Brock may be playing the position the best out of the 4, but that may or may not mean anything. Being the best out of (arguably) the most mediocre group in the NFL isn't the same thing as being 'good'.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

You've never heard me say that Brock is good. However, Seeing your back-ups look average or even a little better against other back ups doesn't tell you much either.

Hogan has no arm, Cody hasn't improved and from all indications Kizer is still too raw. That leaves Brock by default.

I think Brock will get the first quarter, Cody may get all of the second. Kizer will get most of the second half, maybe earlier if Cody falls flat. Hogan maybe a series or two. I think they will try to get Kizer the majority of reps, he has the most potential and needs the them as he is very raw. Oz has the tools to be a starter though, I'm won't rule him out till he's had a chance.

I thought Brock looked pretty decent tonight considering how little time he has had with the #1s. I think Kizer elevated himself to #2 with his play. Cody didn't look bad, he threw a couple nice balls but he held on to the ball way too long as well... He seems to be the #3 to me... but we will see what Coach thinks. I'd like to see Brock get a lot more reps with the #1s this week. Like to see Kizer get some reps with them as well...

Brock had a ton of mental mistakes made around him. It was shameful how many times he wound up 2nd and 3rd and long because of other players screwing up. (penalties, dropped passes, inability of Britt to drag his foot on what should have been a TD pass, etc)

All 3 QB's looked better than they did last week and that is a good sign.

My thoughts exactly spirit.
Brock settles down and ended up playing well.
Kizer played himself into the 2nd man up no doubt.
Kessler is the same guy we saw last year. Nothing more nothing less.

Just something that comes to mind. That last throw.... Only two qbs on the roster makes "that" throw in "that" situation. Kizer of course and Brock. Nuff said.

Brock sucked ass. There is no difference between the saints first string defense and their 3rd. They actually gave up more points last year than we did lol. Pathetic.

Kizer looked good really good but again this was the Saints. I want to see him vs the Bucs. 11 days to take all first team reps. He struggles u can always go to Brock or Cody. Bottom line, the game wasnt to big for him.

I don't think Kizer is ready and the expected move is to play one of the others. BUT I say throw him in the fire and let him take his lumps. I think he can handle it without being ruined like so many Browns QBs have been.

I was rooting for Cody but I'm not seeing measurable improvement. I think Kizer throws the best ball. I also think he has the mental and physical fortitude to fight through the season. I say start him.

I'm actually more concerned about the WRs.

Louis and Payton made plays.

Coleman had a nice stiff arm.

I feel like we really wanted to get Britt that's TD.

Also Duke in the slot is apparently a real thing.

In Brock's defense:

1. He practiced with the 1's twice.
2. Corey dropped a ball
3. Britt dropped a couple
4. Britt had a TD but couldn't keep his feet in
5. 4th and goal...we throw a pass instead of give the ball to Crow
6. Erving had two penalties in a row knocking us back 20 yards.

Erving had already started to irritate me there at the very start.
