G/C. Two things are hard, almost impossible to find in Free agency. Really good wide receivers, and really good Offensive lineman. You see teams hold onto their own like it's gold.

Throw long....you answered your own question...

I have little confidence in Erving, and Coleman, because of week 17 of 2016, and if Roderick hasn't beaten them out, I'd at least like to see this guy come in and see what he has in camp.

I'm inclined to agree concerning Erving's ability to play C,G or T...but are you ready to conclude that the Shon Coleman you saw in week 17 of last season, is all he will ever be?

I've heard that the Browns are attempting to build the team...via the draft.

If he’s in the huddle and the defense treats him as a running back by keeping an extra linebacker on the field, he can line up in the slot as a receiver. If the defense goes with an extra defensive back, Johnson (5-foot-9, 210 pounds) can carry the ball up the middle.

I really like Duke. Up to this point he's probably been the most underutilized and underrated offensive weapon on the team. I can't wait to see what he does behind the revamped o-line, with a QB who can feed him the ball, in a scheme that will be set up to feature him more.

If the QBs had actually hit duke last year when he was open, he would have gone for 1100. Sad part most didnt even see him being so open until the defense had time to recover. First game against Pitt, I dont know if they offered to cover him all game.

Not sure where to put this ...

Ibraheim Campbell - DB - Browns

Browns S Ibraheim Campbell has entered the league's concussion protocol.
Campbell exited Thursday's preseason opener following a collision with Saints running back Alvin Kamara on the game's opening drive. His concussion was later confirmed and now he's been placed in the league's protocol. The 2015 fourth-rounder fared poorly over 418 snaps last season, earning PFF's No. 80 grade out of 91 qualifiers at safety.

Not sure where to put this either ..

Man .. the rats are going to be a bad football team this year ...

Ravens LG Alex Lewis is out for the season with a shoulder injury.

He needs surgery. The Ravens continue to reel with injuries, having lost three potential offensive line starters (also John Urschel and Nico Siragusa) since the beginning of camp. Lewis was viewed internally as a future star at left guard. Baltimore also lost RT Rick Wagner and C Jeremy Zuttah in the offseason. The Ravens will field one of 2017's very worst offenses.

2007 was a great season when we beat them twice.

Man, I thought we were really building something that year.

Perhaps they will offer us a draft pick for Erving.

Offer Cam Erving. It will be a desperate team that will listen. They are dropping in Baltimore some.

Derek Wolfe - DL - Broncos

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Broncos DE Derek Wolfe's ankle injury is "just a moderate sprain."

This confirms previous reports. Wolfe is unlikely to play in Denver's second preseason game, but should be fine for Week 1.

Hue Jackson vents about penalties and interceptions and pulls an Eric Mangini at practice

Editor's note: Tony Grossi covers the Cleveland Browns for ESPN 850 WKNR.

More takeaways from Day 12 of Browns training camp …

1. Angry Hue: Hue Jackson was in a surly mood after practice. He opened his interview session this way: “You guys in a good mood? Cuz I’m not, so let’s get this over with as fast as we can.” It was over in 93 seconds. The first practice after the first preseason game was less-than-satisfying for Jackson. Myles Garrett jumped offsides against Joe Thomas, and was removed from the next rep. Later, when left guard Joel Bitonio jumped before the snap, Jackson ordered him to take a lap around the practice fields. We haven’t seen a coach do that since Eric Mangini was in charge. “We can’t do that. We can’t hurt our team. We have to do that better,” Jackson said. The fact the Browns committed 12 penalties in the preseason opener must have had a lot to do with Jackson’s ire. Then there were the interceptions. Brock Osweiler threw two (by safety Derrick Kindred and safety Darius Hillary) and DeShone Kizer tossed one (safety J.D. Harmon). “Pissed me off,” Jackson groused. “I know those things happen, but just like any coach, I don’t want interceptions. I want our defense to get them, but I don’t want the quarterbacks to throw them.”

2. Quarterback rotation: There was a subtle change in the distribution of reps in the quarterback competition. Yes, Osweiler remained No. 1. Yes, Cody Kessler remained No. 2. But the change was Kizer, third in the rotation, resuming reps with the No. 1 offensive line on his turn. This is the way Jackson did it when Kessler was with the first team, but Kizer did not take No. 1 reps last week when Osweiler was promoted. So, this could be a tip-off that Jackson will play Kizer second, after Osweiler, in the second preseason game Aug. 21 against the New York Giants. Jackson is not ready to make any comments about that game yet. “We’re back in training camp mode practicing. It’s too early to name a quarterback,” he said.

3. Brownie bits: Garrett may have jumped offsides, but otherwise he had another outstanding practice. I counted two sacks – one v. rookie Rod Johnson and another when he flew past a tight end lined up next to Cam Erving. Another time Garrett broke inside and beat Bitonio, but Osweiler just got the ball away … Tight end David Njoku (back) and defensive tackle Caleb Brantley (broken finger) returned to practice, but were held out of team drills … Cornerback Jamar Taylor had a day off. He was replaced on the first team by Jason McCourty.

4. Quarterback update: From ESPN Cleveland's Jason Gibbs, the completion numbers in team drills: Kessler, 6 of 9, 73 of 110; Osweiler, 8 of 14, 101 of 168 overall; Kizer, 4 of 7, 65 of 116 overall; Kevin Hogan, 6 of 8, 29 of 48 overall.

Thanks for posting.

I agree w/Hue that the unforced penalties have to be cleaned-up. They kill you on both sides of the ball.

I wish Grossi would stop listing the completion/attempt thing of the qbs. Those stats are meaningless w/out context. Heck, I could argue they could actually be misleading.

I don't mind the stats......but what does this mean? I copied Hogans totals.... Kevin Hogan, 6 of 8, 29 of 48 overall.

What does the 29 of 48 mean?
