Bills have acquired CB E.J. Gaines and Rams 2018 second round pick for WR Sammy Watkins and Bills 2018 sixth round pick. https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/896051326638936065Eagles acquire CB Ronald Darby from Buffalo for WR Jordan Matthews and a 2018 third-round pick. https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/896051387192066049With the trades, the #Bills have: 2 2018 first rounders, 2 2018 second rounders, 2 2018 third rounders. … That’s not a bad way to build. https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/896053501964337152https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/896053501964337152

Pretty crazy. I knew the Bills weren't happy with Watkins, but I didn't expect him to be traded.
I wish we could have gotten in on some of this wide receiver action.
Jared Goff has a real receiver now.
Can anyone speak on the corners that were traded?

Bills made out like bandits if Matthews knee holds up ...
Watkins and Darby have been huge DISSAPOINTMENTS ...
Good day for Jill's fans ....
Lambs FO continues to act like ours used to ... *L* ...
Not bad for Phili .. they picked up Jeffries and T. Smith (not impressed with him .. but hes not bad) and word out of their camp is Aghlor is finally playing well .... we'll see if that carries over into the season ... Darby has been a dissapointment in Buffalo ... but he will help Phili as their secondary is PUTRID!!!

Watkins just has never clicked with health and production like I always thought he should. I think the Bills made out here
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Looks like the new Buffalo FO is somewhat following the Browns plan. Gut most of it and acquire draft picks....start all over. It'll be interesting to see what else happen in Buffalo after the season.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

It'll be interesting to see what else happen in Buffalo after the season. that was my initial response too ... seems like they did what the browns would have. gather picks and only commit to guys who are young, have high ceilings, and who fit

Was this a 3 way trade? Like in NBA world...or seperate...Very odd nonetheless
RAMS have a very young emerging core and if Watkins can turn healthy...definately will aid or attempt to aid their hopeful franchise QB in Goff.
Bills get a more reliable WR (health wise) tand a nice high draft pick
Eagles get a corner whom vaults easily to start in any trio package and will probably start with Jalen Mills...busy Friday for those teams

Bills may be setting up to draft a QB......Sound familiar? That is exactly what this trade was about for the Bills. They already have an extra 1st round pick and now they have extra 2nd and an extra 3rd. So two 1sts, two 2nds, and 2 3rds. The Browns have two 1sts, 3 2nds, and 1 3rd.

They still have Tyrod for this season and Shady McCoy locked up (cheap) for 3 years.
That alone imo keeps them from "tanking" for a QB.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

It seems We're talking about what we did in the past tense! Gosh I hope that's true. How nice it'd be to return as a respectable franchise!

Don't look now, but Jets are being 'out-tanked' by Bills++ http://www.espn.com/blog/new-york-jets/p...tanked-by-bills Rich CiminiESPN Staff Writer The New York Jets aren't the only AFC East team focused on the future. The Buffalo Bills are, too. And they're attacking it more aggressively than the Jets, which could sabotage general manager Mike Maccagnan's perceived master plan. By trading oft-injured wide receiver Sammy Watkins and cornerback Ronald Darby on Friday, the Bills have added to their stockpile of draft picks. Don't forget, they traded down during the 2017 draft, snagging a 2018 first-rounder from the Kansas City Chiefs in the Patrick Mahomes deal. So now the Bills have two first-round picks, two second-rounders and two third-rounders. Their new management team has positioned itself to be a major player in the 2018 draft, and that will be useful if the team decides to dump Tyrod Taylor and seek a franchise quarterback. If the Bills and Jets are trying to trade up to the No. 1 spot to select, say, Sam Darnold, guess which team will have the most ammunition to make that happen? Not the Jets, who don't have any extra draft picks and aren't projected to receive any compensatory choices. Right now, their best bargaining chip is Sheldon Richardson. Fans already on board with tanking will no doubt hope the Jets lose them all, securing the No. 1 pick in the process. The Jets and Bills face each other in Week 1. Some might call it the Tank Bowl. Clearly, both franchises competing for more than just one game. They're trying to brighten their futures.

The Bills at least have a competent QB. The Jets are starting either Hackenberg or McCown. As we know, McCown is the master of the tank. If McCown is starting, it means your backup is terrible (because that backup couldn't beat out McCown, who is also terrible). But McCown is also guaranteed to get hurt, so it means your terrible backup will eventually play. Losses ensue.

I wouldnt be shocked if they traded McCoy as well ... if another team is willing to trade a pick and get his salary

RBs have never been valued less than they are now (Devonta Freeman just got basically the same contract Steven Jackson got in like 2008). Also, Adrian Peterson and Jamal Charles both struggled to find a contract in the off-season.

U know ... i was going to say there not going to trade McCoy ... but depending on how their rook plays maybe they will ...
They got STUCK with Taylor ,...
He's better then the crap the jets have ... hell ... BO would be an upgrade for the crap they have ... Taylor is far from competent ... hes not very good at all ....
I would be STUNNED if the Jets don't have the #1 pick ... I'd say the niners have a shot at #2 ... the battle will be for #2 ...

I think this was response was funny as hell. But aren't threads like long drawn out conversations? It's like if me and a buddy were sitting at a bar and he asks me if Watkins has had injury issues, and I, while knowing the answer, refuse to answer and tell him to google it.

Taylor is not a competent QB. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TaylTy00.htmCompleted 60% of his passes, threw for over 3000 yards, 17 TDs, 6 INTs, a bunch of rushing yards, and he's done it for two years. He's easily competent. I'd take him over a bunch of guys who are starting right now (including all three of our guys).

This is why STATS ARE FOR ....
He's not a good QB ... Buffalo had ZERO other options .. there coach took him RELUCTANTLY cause he was the "best" option ... just like BO is ours ...
When your arguments he's better than ours ... well, that sums it up ... *L* ...
He's not horrible ... not even well below average .... hes definetly below average though ... maybe around 20 or so as far as league starters go ...

If both teams are tanking the jets are losing the battle of draft picks.the browns should offer the jets a 2nd rd pick for Sheldon Richardson. that would help even up the tank race, and makeup for the Calvin Pryor trade.

I think we have too much talent on our d-line to waste a draft pick on that cancer.
