It's pretty telling that no one has picked him up for some lesser position. Ryan Grigson got another job and he was nearly as bad as Farmer.

What I like is that our 2nd unit OL is pretty darn good.

LT Johnson (only chink in the link)
LG Greco
C Reiter
RG Martin
RT Erving (who has been decent)

Drango running with the 3's

This year will reflect heavily on Sashi, and might atone for some of last year's awful season.

I think he is the right man for the job and we are going in the right direction... But I don't expect much from this team... We are still a four win team....

When Farmer drafted Orchard the praise on him was slobbering to say the least
It was stomach turning
Never seen such orange colored glasses in regards to Farmer
Orchard was a one trick pony in college
He got by on speed at Utah
Doesn't work in the NFL
He's a bust period

I don't remember much about the praise on Orchard, but I do remember watching him thinking he's too small and slow. That hasn't changed since the first year

Not that I'm praying for an injury but I think any of our 11 OL would be snatched up immediately even off the P.S. I mean if Drango is 11 this depth is insane. Even with an injury we usually carry 8 on gameday and maybe 9 total. So barring 2 or 3 significant injuries in the next 3 weeks do we trade someone? We have P.S. candidates outside of the 11 too so I think it's a real possibility. Greco?

So far via the depth charts it doesn't look that good for Orchard. But I thought he progressed nicely over the last few years. That is all you can ask for from you draft picks. Sadly it was one of Farmer's better picks.

If you read further down, people are saying how they dislike the Erving pick, "but who knows, maybe he'll pan out".

Ugh...

Looking back at our last decade or so of draft picks, I can honestly say that I was HAPPY with two 1st round selections immediately after they were made: Joe Thomas and Myles Garrett. The rest? I was skeptical.

I'd expect Erving to be traded for a conditional late round future pick (like we did with Justin Gilbert last year, we got a 2018 sixth round pick for him). If we trade Erving we don't take a cap hit.

Also, it sounds like Roderick Johnson is having a rough camp (he's been going up against Garrett a lot). I don't think he's a lock to make the team.

You could be right. I hope for more than 4 personally.

I hope he is the right man as you think. Don't overthink much. This year's cutdown rule may truly measure him. Going to be a LOT of players when it happens. Some can help us, I am sure.

Good luck.

Thank you. I still remember that thread and the reception was luke warm at best. Not a very good pick. Roderick is just Roderick.
That's him vs. Marquis Haynes who can be a phenomenal pass rusher. He's also 6'3 225. I can't imagine the pain that Myles Garrett is inducing on Roderick and Cam. I would like to think the two of them just look like turnstiles, but I'm just not sure that they're on their feet enough to resemble them.

Well if by Erving being decent you mean an OL player who plays every OL position poorly, I agree.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

You can't call Erving 'decent' and not expect to get questioned on it.

1. I'm saying so far this season.
2. I'm talking about OT.
Most opinions were made up prior to this camp.

I also listen to the coaches. So far they seem pleased...I watched the scrimmage and the preseason game. didn't key on him or anything but he didn't look bad.

right away I get bs like rofl as if I don't know what I'm talking about. Hey he might not even make the roster for all I know but I doubt that. But I know what I have seen so far and mostly when I watch OL its replays which yes, there have not been too many of. He hasn't been bad at all from what I saw...and I'm sticking to it. But some people don't have the respect of others opinions. Right away its me...smh

Has anyone else noticed Coley has been getting reps with the first team?

He has been for awhile. Today wasn't even a Desmond Bryant rest day either.
