Most places will be sold out of glasses by now. If you find them, expert a huge mark up(seen some going for $60). Try craigslist, my friend found someone with some that was still selling for $5.

I called everywhere today, and there are none. I thought I was sol.
I wanted to go so badly. I even knew about this 2 years ago. I had a way to reserve a cheap hotel in St. Louis too....but my kid is starting school in a new city and my wife got called away to work in San Diego. Oh well.

Very good, be safe. I don't want to condone homemade eclipse eyewear, but I heard if you can see your hands in front of your glasses, that's not good enough.
I'm thinking about using my camera to get a look at it, and take pictures. I would think that looking at it on the screen would be safe.

I have a pair of glasses that came with my laser engraver that I'm going to use, dark like a welding mask. Just want everybody to be careful, some of the glasses being sold will not protect you at all.

P.S. It is odd, I live right on Lake Shore Blvd. in Euclid. I've never heard traffic this quiet out there, unless it's Christmas day. It's not dead quiet, but quiet for a Monday.
