I don't think it's fair to name Vers as a moderate or a fence rider. His convictions are right.

He's flat out called himself a liberal on several occasions, and when he talks about 'both sides', he's talking about the insults, whataboutisms and gotcha questions that fly back and forth from both sides.

The us vs. them format in our news media has infected the discourse, I used to be guilty as sin of it, I have repented and will not participate anymore.

If your method of protest (just to be clear, we're not talking about the NFL protests are we?, or are we talking about BLM?) is to burn things down, damage property, block traffic and other such...then he should be against that.

i'm not for rioting either and i've been clear on that, though i have also said that i understand why crap has boiled over and got out of control.

That is not what I am talking about. I am talking about blacks and whites and liberals and conservatives.

I am saying that there are good people in all of those groups and that there are bad people in all of those groups. Obviously, the Nazis would fall into the latter category.

I have maintained the position that we should judge people as individuals rather than assigning them to groups such as black and white and liberal and conservative.

I also have been saying that we should work together to bridge our differences rather than playing the blame game and furthering the divide.

I have had people from both sides rip me. I have been called a racist, a crying liberal, a fence sitter, etc. I really don't care. I will continue to fight those who are trying to rip this country apart and their narrow-minded ways. Call me whatever you want, but it won't deter my quest to make this country a better place.
