It's only one week out until "FINAL" cuts to make the roster for week 1. We've got to have some place to discuss who is going to make the team. If you want to discuss who the Rams/or Raiders are keeping, I don't care, this is a Browns Board.
1st move they Cut Desmond Bryant last week, (youth movement continues), which is big, there are going to be some tuff decisions for the front 7.
John Greco started pre-season game #3 in place of Joel Bitonio, even though he is a veteran opposite of the youth movement, Is that telling that he will stay?
It's pretty clear Mathew Dayes looks like a keeper, (to me anyway), What about Vitale, McGee and Wilds.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I would be pretty surprised if Greco is cut.
I'd also guess that Vitale is safe.
I'm really interested to see how many linebackers and defensive linemen we keep.

We can't and won't cut Greco, he has a lot of value in that he can play just about any spot on the OL ... JMHO

Does anyone have any opinion on which kicker we will keep?
If everything was/is even I'd take Gonzalez because he is cheap and under contract for the next four seasons.

Tough Choice both are very good Kicker's, but personally I would go with the rookie, we have him under contract for 4 years + man does he have a powerful leg, he missed that 55 yarder but it would have been good from 65-70 ...

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

no way we cut greco, especially with bitonio and his constant injury problems.

The Front 7, I find almost impossible to see players that I couldn't see some how that they make the team.
I mean, no matter how many guys I remember I always forget somebody in the discussion.
Then Tyrone Holmes has to go and make a turnover last night and make it all the more difficult to cut him.
Schult, Olugbode, Nassib, Meder, Cooper, on and on. Brantley- could be good but we don't know because injury. Ogunjobi- Forgot about him, but he was out there as an early sub last night.
Coley- came out of nowhere, all he does is make plays
Alexander- I think he only stuck around because injuries last year, but he's playing well enough to make a team right now
Cooper- A lot of respect for this guy, he's playing well and his future is still more upside
Olugbode- A guy I'd say just an add on, but then he shows toughness and doesn't mess up anywhere.
Kirksey- made the team had a ton of tackles last year- but I kind of think he's reached his ceiling.
Orchard- When he's healthy and on the field he looks like a top 3 player on this defense and disrupts the offense.
I know they are going to cut some players in the Front 7; But I think I could make a starting defense out of whomever they are going to Cut among those front 7 players. And it's not clear if the Cut players wouldn't be a better defense, than whomever they will end up keeping.

3 weeks ago I thought for sure that Grecco would probably be a cut because of his age. After he started last night, and given his years of service, I'd say they'd be better off to keep him.
3 weeks ago I had thought they'd keep 11 Db's but this week I think it's better if they try to stash as many of them on the practice squad as possible.
If they keep only 9 db's and hide people on injury lists then they could be ok with 24 on defense leaving the 26th offensive player as the #10 offensive lineman, That would mean they really don't have to lose anybody that is really hard to let go of.
My today list. Kizer Hogan Osweiler/Kessler
Rb's Crowell, Duke, Dayes, +FB Vitale (The others stashed on PS< Wilds, and MgGee, I still don't believe are remarkably better than George Atkinson III, and he was waived, I don't know, he's probably still a free agent.)
Offensive line 10
Tight ends 3 Wide receivers, Britt Coleman, Louis Hall Higgans and Alford/Leslie, depending on needing Alford for returns on special teams.
9 db's Haden, Kindred, Taylor C.Pryor, Jabrill Pepers, McCourty Calhoun, Burley, and Ed ReynoldsII, (But Reynolds stashed on PUP until he's ready to come back with someone else maybe Christian Bryant filling time.
That allows for 15, front 7 players. Ogbah, Shelton, Garrett, Coley, Ogunjobi, Meder, Cooper, Holmes, Nassib, Kirksey, Collins, Schobert, Orchard, Alexander, Olugbode, Stashing Caleb Brantley, and Tank Carder on Injured Reserve.
Nacua, Stribling, Najee Murray, and Darius Hillary on the practice squad with others.
Either way it's going to be tough, I don't want to see them cut guys who are getting in the backfield or forcing turnovers.
