Because it's a numbers game. You can only keep so many DEs on the final roster. Now if he played primarily inside I could see your point.

Williams talked about versatility. Who is the bubble linebacker who can giveguys a blow at multiple spots... Burgess?

I think Alexander is probably that 4th backer that can swing all over the place.

I gave my opinion. I think the guy played well and was hoping he would have made the team.

J/C,

The Browns still have #42 Alvin Hill listed on the now 65 man roster, but have him listed in the latest cuts?

Seems strange that the Ravens cut Zuttah again. Didn't they just re-sign him, mostly guaranteed?

Why? Question of availability or performance?

Orchard, if healthy.

But, I'm hoping they bring Shult back.

They weren't the ones who drafted Orchard.

Orchard is the guy that everyone wants rid of but I feel he could be our 2nd best DE. This is why cut day is ones mans trash another mans treasure.

What takes top priority on waiver wire? DB or WR?

I'm guessing his measurables played into the decision along with depth at DE/DT.

https://3sigmaathlete.com/rankings/edge/

Hope he makes it to the P-squad. Gonna be some tough cuts.

You think he can be the Swiss army knife or just spell a pass rusher?

Both smile but I'd lean toward focusing on DB

Which ever one we waive, will probably get picked up. We could keep them both, but then we would have to keep one less from another group.

Who is backup center? Dawgs are high on Reiter after a half last year, but I keep hearing Martin's name.

I should have put the second part in some sort of purple. I was just peeing in Vers' Wheaties there.

Do either of those players have the ability to spell at linebacker in a pinch?

He isn't great against the run but he is in the backfield almost every play and if you can do that you will disrupt enough for others to make plays. Honestly though all of these guys are pass rushers that are learning to play the run.

Even Garrett who I feel is very underrated against the run, hasn't made a lot of plays against the run but he is back there making the back change direction and its allowing these safeties and linebackers to clean things up.

Wave one disruptand confuse, wave to destroy. I also feel its why we keep a guy like Pryor. He can fly in and fill those gaps with ferocity.

Holmes, Johnson, Orchard can slip back and play some backer in situations.

I'm in favor of keeping a true backup Center. Reiter would be my choice of the two. Martin wasn't much better than Erving at Center.

I thought Pryor looked pretty good on Special teams as well. Noticed pretty savvy blocking/avoiding flags on returns a few times and solid kick coverage. Has some LB/S versatility. Can see him sticking.

I meant when he was with the 9ers.

General response. Geesh it's not that hard folks, had a look at it last week, Could easily keep Orchard, Holmes, Reiter and Martin, and I don't think Nacua shoud make the team.

As fans we have to trust that the FO and coaching staff know what they are doing and will make the right call on who to keep and who to let go. Of course, I've had this same view with previous regime's and was disappointed at the results. Let's hope it's different this time thumbsup

Being a Browns fan makes it almost impossible to trust a Coach or FO ..
