Yeah, getting an NFL tryout proves that you suck.
How many years did you play in the league?

What is so perplexing? You dogged the dude. He had an NFL tryout. I was a pretty good player, but never made it to an NFL camp. Did you?
I just don't see how you can question the guys genes. Please elaborate.

The only one that really grabbed my attention was Aaron Dobson. he used to be a Patriot I do believe.
not much else there that I can see.

Dobson has only played in 12 games over the last 3 years (0 in 2016) and missed most of training camp with a bad hamstring this year.

Theres some names on there...
C Zuttah...what the hell happened to this guy...Pro Bowl last year...signed with 49ers in free agency, they cut him like two weeks ago...resigned with the Ravens as they keep losing Olineman...then gets cut again...must be something wrong
TJ Clemmings the OT was a high draft pick...was liked by many coming out of Ptt...However much like Cam Erving has been disappointing...ditto for Cryus Kouilajio or however you spell his name
CB Jabari Price has been with the Vikings for a bit, but Zimmer loves his DBs...so with him being cut, it may be for a valid reason even though he's always been a #4 CB
Steelers have a log jam at WR, saw Cobi Hamilton out of Clemson cut...I still believe they will cut Coates/Heywerd Bey...
As bad as it sounds and how bad our team is....Heyward Bey is better than our #3,4,5 WRs...and is a special teams stud...Our WR core is putrid, should be some decent bottom guys cut...sadly that is what our core mainly consists of.

Then that means he's the best player in his draft.

In a way, this will be like another draft once the cuts are in...and we get the first pick on as many as we want. You would think the guys cut from say the Patriots would be better than the guys we cut.
That doesn't include Haden or Grecko, but other teams are going to have their salary dumps as well. Maybe we pick up some of those guys on vet minumum type contracts over 3 years with maybe some incentives built in.
Once a guy is cut, he is pretty eager to ink a new deal.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

For my clarity please: Is that Coates or DHB or Coates and DHB haha sorry Jester...I meant or...Seems from all Pittsburgh beat writers the final spot will come down to one of them...I think they may keep Coates (younger, slightly cheaper, and a higher draft pick) So I imagine Heyward Bey will be the one cut...then again they rave about his special teams work...SO they may keep him as well.

That's what I thought you meant but wanted to be sure.
If they cut DHB, would he be an upgrade over Britt? Could you see us signing him then releasing Britt?
If they release Coates I think we claim him. If I remember right his SPARQ is off the charts. Can't run more than one route and his hands are made of stone but still.

DHB has grown slightly in years...He was always a WR with blazing speed and a good-very good frame....Hes signed cheaply for around $930K...He has developed a knack for becoming a tougher player since going to Pitt...and has became an ace on special teams I believe gunner/and in return game packages...He doesnt play often in WR sets, but does put a heck a TD to catch ratio lol He always had notorious bad hands, and was raw in alot of aspects...over the years he has improved routes (mostly deep routes, improved effort on blocking, and enjoys special teams...alot of WRs will steer away from that) Short clip what I found of him in last year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSW-0HUR_OM

Aaron Wilson‏ Texans cut veteran backup Brandon Weeden, according to a source. Comes as a surprise as Texans go with two QBs Tom Savage, Deshaun Watson https://twitter.com/AaronWilson_NFL/status/904008520802201600

Sorry Jester, as I missed part of your question... Coates would probably be right up our alley, young and the SPARQ equation as you stated...But like you stated he has hands that are probably worse then DHB and a very limited route tree... Now I am no Kenny Britt fan, never have...But I will give him the benefit of doubt he faces #1 and #2 CBs all day...DHB faces dime CBs...how will he fair against better concerns, probably not too well...So I doubt he will reap the rewards of Britt (to what extent Britt will play and succeed...is to be determined) I never enjoyed the signing...would have loved Maclin after he was released. Not sure how much money Britt already pocketed from us? Or ramifications? All I know our core is def. amongst the worst in the league.

If we were to trade Kessler or cut him, This might be a a nice cheap veteran backup
Giants released QB Josh Johnson.
The move suggests Geno Smith has won the backup quarterback job, but the Giants could always look for a better option on the wire.

Could this be a solution to the RT position and the backup LT job?
Bengals released OT Eric Winston.
Veteran DE Wallace Gilberry was also released. It is possible one or both are brought back after veteran contracts guarantee Week 1. Winston started two games at right tackle last season.

Or this guy?
Panthers released OL Chris Scott.
A versatile backup with starting experience, Scott likely would have cracked the initial roster, but he has been sidelined for over two weeks with a concussion. Perhaps he is brought back once healthy.

Jacoby Brissett - QB - Colts
Colts acquired QB Jacoby Brissett from the Patriots in exchange for WR Phillip Dorsett. Brissett lit up the Giants in the final preseason game, completing 28-of-39 passes for 341 yards and five total touchdowns. That was apparently enough to convince Indy he is a better option than Scott Tolzien, but there is almost no chance Brissett is ready to start Week 1. This move suggests the Colts think Andrew Luck could miss a significant chunk of the season. It also hints the Patriots plan to keep Jimmy Garoppolo after this season.

We have a QB that Hue has confirmed he believes is worth investing significant time and energy into developing as a franchise QB. Unless he stinks big time and shows no up side or potential I don't think we will even go for one of the big guys in the draft. We may draft somebody later as a potential legit #2 or 3 and then cut Kessler or Hogan. But, if Kizer continues to show potential I think our 1st round picks go for other positions.

That is the ideal situation. That would be a huge check on the list for the rebuild and allow a top cb or wr.
