The worst part about releasing Brock is that Kessler is still on the team.

We kept Kessler and signed some dude who was undrafted and released by several teams.
But hey, the lawyer is a genius!
This just feels different. We're on the right track this time. These guys get it.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

NRTU Is this the same Broncos that were glad to be rid of him when he left for Houston and wanted no part of him?

There are 15 million reasons that are being paid by the Browns that have changed the Broncos opinion.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

I don't recall the Broncos being thrilled to get rid of him. I think they were in the running with several teams that wanted him. Houston just paid him more.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Kessler > Brock.
What ever Broncos pay him is less the cap hit we will take...this year. The only one losing out on our Brock move is Haslam as in $$$ I don't feel bad for him at all.
Again...Brock in his 6th year is highly inaccurate and cannot read NFL Defenses. Anyone pining for him to be here well I cannot respect your evaluation on QBs.
He's gone we won't lose any games because he is gone.
btw - who did we release as we added 5 to the roster? I doubt we will keep 4 QBs.

My recollection is that Brock wanted $18 million a year but the Broncos were only willing to give him $14. Then the Texans swept in with the offer of $16.

j/c Elway's rep as some sort of FO genious would have taken a major beating had he signed BO to that $37 mil deal (that BO turned down before heading off to Houston) then watched BO get progressively worse. Simien would still be starting...BO still on the bench getting paid by the Donks...and Paxton Lynch would be on some other team. Luck? Fate? Always nice to have I suppose.

NRTU Is this the same Broncos that were glad to be rid of him when he left for Houston and wanted no part of him? Yes. Elway made several strange comments about the situation and so did some of the Broncos' players (after Osweiler left for Houston). I think it was very humbling for Osweiler to have to go back to Denver for the minimum.

From the get go I was hoping Denver would be a trading partner for Brock...they probably figured we would be releasing him and they waited patiently.
Elway has not handled the procurement of a QB the way people would expect him to. Actually our Harvard Lawyer is doing a pretty good job

I think it's a little early to predict that Sashi has done well with the QB situation. The jury is still out on that one.
Trust me.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Trust me. How can you say that? He won a game last year w/his qb choices.

Iirc the Denver comments after BO left were them being butt hurt that someone swooped in and took their guy. They wanted to keep him.
I guess when they couldn't move him during or right after the draft, they weren't going to trade him at all. The other teams called our bluff. NO big deal. We can only assume that BO wasn't a part of Hue's plans.

Jason La Canfora's article about the Browns seems bad, but I think it is just exposing tensions that many NFL teams face around cut day. My guess is that there is a lot tension on other teams when players like T.J. Ward, and Alex Boone, Ahtyba Rubin are cut. One thing that stood out to me in the article was this nugget: One team source said Osweiler was "a cancer" in the locker room, did not to endear himself to teammates and brought little to the quarterback room where the Browns are trying to develop three young passers, including rookie starter DeShone Kizer.

Jason La Canfora's article about the Browns seems bad Just like most other things Jason makes up, or just guesses about when he spouts his crap.

Not to mention the fact that he's written some total BS to disparage the team.

Plus, he's been caught red-handed stealing other journalists' content. I know this has already been pointed out, but if we're going to continuously prop up the bad things he has reported about the Browns, then I'm happy to prop up that fact that the guy is a douche.

But then isn't that different than slamming his reports time after time when he's right far more often than he's wrong?

When he is right I have no problem admitting it. Just let us know when he is finally right about something. But it feels so much better to slam his reports than to acknowledge that he's right far more often than he's wrong, lol We will live with the blinders on. If I was to think that things between Hue and the FO aren't as hunky dory as Hue says, I'd be upset. This is my favorite time of year, even though we rarely win. I'm gonna just choose to ignore that report. Maybe not slam Jason LaCanfora, but definitely not dwell on it. Just not worth the worries and depression

You are correct, if he is, in fact, "right far more often than he's wrong". My issue, (and I imagine the issue with most other posters that can't stand JLC), is that I don't think, off the top of my head, that that assumption is correct.
Off the top of my head, I think he's hitting at just under 50%. That makes him a really great guesser, and nowhere near an even mediocre journalist.
I have to add: If I am wrong, then show me I'm wrong. If you show me I'm wrong, I'll admit I'm wrong... and will try my hardest to stomach more of JLC's articles.
