Here are several books on the spread and over/under for the Browns vs the Steelers game. Despite being at home, the Browns are a really big underdog.

Who are you betting on?

-9.5
47.5

-9-105
46.5

-10+110
47

-8
47o-107

-8
47

-9-115

Honestly, I'd bet on the Steelers and the under.

30-16 final

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

-9 isn't enough for me. If it were -14, maybe...

You just never know how 'rivalry' games will turn out. Every now and then the Browns show up and are at least competitive.

I heard where the under is a hot pick, so it might end up going down.

The spread has been pretty consistent a 9 for most places.

The Steelers are quite possibly the best team in the AFC. The Browns are not, especially in game 1.

I think that this week will be a ..... *ahem* .... learning experience.

However, there is a reason they play the games .... wink

I am picking Pittsburgh week one.

As much as I would love to see my Browns win it is a tall order. We never win our 1st game, we hardly ever beat the Steelers, we have a young rookie qb and a lot of new starters. I hope for a win but if anything I hope we give them a tough, close game and show to everyone we are on our way to becoming winners.

Only reason I give us even a slight chance is that I don't believe the Steelers ol is playing worth a damn.

Go back and rethink that. Just a strategy tip. Don't use easy win teams on a team like the Browns. Select the Browns in a week you think they can win, like the Jets game at home.

Plus, you might want to see how the Browns play. Our D might be good enough to actually keep us in games.

It's your league, but I wouldn't burn the Steelers in week 1.

I am going Buffalo over the Jets. Buffalo isn't going to win all that many games this year, so I am going to burn them week 1.

That is how you go deep in the season with a loss to play with.

Browns, This is the home Steeler game, and this is the Home opener!

Browns 28-27, last play of the game.

I don't care how you make it happen, this is a must win!

Team will look back on this game as the one that lets them in or keeps them out of the playoffs.

Offense has to be clicking on all cylinders!

Defense has to be clicking on all cylinders!

Special teams needs to play safe, complimentary football!

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Do something Pittsburgh isn't expecting us to do. I would think they are expecting us to run the ball with a short passing game. I would work this week on doing exactly the opposite and put them on their heels. We've got nothing to lose. We are the youngest team in the league with a young rookie QB. Nobody is expecting us to win. I'd do something no one expects.

I might take the points. I'm not sure Bell is back in game shape yet. If we try to limit their possessions, it could stay close.

Kind of what I am thinking. I wouldn't bet against the Browns in this one. If we keep it close, we might even win the game.

I think we have a angry D. At least I hope we do.

I'm thinking of taking the under. The Steelers have an explosive offense, but ........

Oh, I don't know. LOL

I like betting the most money of the year in week 2 for both college and the NFL. I've always had the most success in that week for both.

The middle of the year is the hardest. It gets a bit easier down the stretch, but the last week...........forget about it.

what is their defense suppose to look this this year? at least what are the talking heads saying about it?

I was always lucky the first four weeks, then downhill from there, until the end of the season, usually just enough to break even for the year.

I love the under, the points I'm a little scared of. If our defense is real, we might be able to keep it close. Our DBs are the problem, as you know. But I think the offense will be able to move the ball on them. I look for Duke to be the guy that hurts them most.

I got a weird feeling about this game, I think we might win.

I don't know what the talking heads are saying. Here is what I kinda know:

--They get after the passer pretty good.

--Secondary is terrible.

--Have pretty good speed at LBer.

--Decent DL

--They lost Kirkland. I think that is pretty big.

--They can cause turnovers.

--They get beat for big plays.

A Browns fan betting on the Browns, considering their supposed emotional attachment, is foolish. Sorry.

Interestingly, the line was also Browns +9 1/2 back in mid-April before the 2017 NFL draft.

No change.

Not that a draft class can change a team that quickly.

Best advice of my youth concerns the Browns.

1) Expect all teams to split in our division paired games (often true before The Return), and

2) Don't bet on 'em, but don't bet agin 'em. Friends bet them to win every week, and above .500, seemed like a little easy money.

As far as Vegas, I think a low-scoring game favors us with a long FG maker potentially, and the under is fairly tempting. Not likely, but not hopeless either.

And our BB club is gonna be there! We got this.

I think this Browns game will be interesting. Ben might be rusty with how little he has played this preseason. I think he is going to be in for rude awaking at our new defense because Big Ben is going to get hit a LOT this game. They will turn Miles loose and we will see if he gets those sacks he wanted to get.

Will pitt have a good defense or not? Hard to say since they have lost a few folks to old age. I think if we can score 24 points that we will win this one.

week 1 is always the toughest IMO ... you really have no idea how good teams will be yet

I would take the Steelers all day long and not look back. That looks to be a pretty favorable cover for them. It will be interesting to see where all the sharp money comes in at.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

JMHO, Hue ain't going to play the short game, I expect running the ball more due to upgraded OL, BUT Coleman, Coates, Ninja are going vertical with SPEED. Play fakes and just go routes.....I think Browns will cover the nine......GO Browns!!!

Banking on the Colts doing nothing. Rams may not win a lot of games, but they'll win this one.

When you describe the Pitt defense it sounds eerily like our D.
If only our offense description fit theirs.
