Well ... so much for TJ McGill.

I guess buying some weed because you were upset about being waived didn't work out too well for him.

He wouldn't have bumped Jamie off the roster anyway. Just like I told y'all a long time ago. It is time for everybody to jump on Jamie's bandwagon damnit. For those of you who don't know....

Like I said I have been a huge fan of his since his first week with the Browns. I heard his story in person, and have had massive respect for him ever since.

Just cut him now. Sounds like another less talented Gordon/Manziel. Drugs are not a sickness they are a weakness. If they have zero respect for themselves they would have zero respect for anything else.

Since he had been cut and not yet signed by us, was he even under the purview of the league's personal conduct policy? As long as he doesn't fail a test, I'm not sure the league can really do anything. Having said that, I'd have him on a very short leash.

That is what I was going to point out..and I'm not kidding.

It is the responsibility of the GM/personnel to insure that background checks are made.

A background check wouldn't find something from hours before. It sucks, but this is simply bad timing/luck.

j/c...was he on the substance abuse protocol before the arrest??? If not would this be a first offense and not subject to suspension???

Before we cut him I hope we sit down and at least talk to him and find out what happened and why.

Back round checks unfortunately is not up to date by the minute.

mac...really you going there. As long as you are not biased...lol laugh

jc...

After doing a bit of checking into the situation of McGill,
reports show that he was sighted and charged by NC Alcohol Law Enforcement, in Charlotte, NC, early Saturday morning, Sep 2, at 00:15 (12:15am).

Technically, unless dated previous to 00:15, Sep 2, 2017, McGill was still a member of the Colts until their cut down list was announced by the Colts by 4pm ET, Saturday, Sep 2, 2017.

I have no idea what the NFL precedent is in a case such as this or if McGill is the Colts responsibility or the Browns, who added McGill to their roster on Sep 5.

Being a holiday weekend, chances are the offices of NC Alcohol Law Enforcement, in Charlotte, NC, were gone for the Labor Day weekend, until returning Sep,5.

The NFL will have to sort this one out...

As for McGill, I guess he couldn't wait to get high. I doubt the Browns would have signed him if they had known about his MJ use.
