There is no official injury report yet, but Danny Shelton practiced today (as did a few others who were previously hurt):

Quote:
#Browns who returned to practice today: DT Danny Shelton (knee), LG Joel Bitonio (knee), FB Danny Vitale (ankle), DE Nate Orchard (groin).

https://twitter.com/NateUlrichABJ/status/905485773486612485

I believe our entire 53 man roster is practicing (besides Joe Thomas). That seems pretty rare.

Hopefully, Garrett was taken out as more of a precautionary measure...

Browns’ top pick Garrett injures ankle during practice

http://fox8.com/2017/09/06/browns-top-pick-garrett-injures-ankle-during-practice/

BEREA, Ohio (AP) — Browns rookie defensive end Myles Garrett sustained an ankle injury in practice, leaving his status for the season opener in doubt.

Garrett, the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft, did not make it through the complete practice on Wednesday.

Coach Hue Jackson did not provide any specifics about the injury — or when it occurred — and would not speculate as to whether Garrett would be ready for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Garrett has lived up to high expectations since arriving in Cleveland, and earlier in the day didn’t back down from comments about wanting to sack Ben Roethlisberger in his first game.

The 21-year-old Garrett suffered a left foot sprain during the spring, but he didn’t miss the start of training camp.

Garrett was limited during his junior season at Texas A&M with a left ankle injury.

So, is there a "typical" time frame to get more info on the injury?

Report: Browns fear Myles Garrett could miss weeks
Posted by Josh Alper on September 6, 2017, 5:43 PM EDT

Browns defensive end Myles Garrett hurt his ankle in Wednesday’s practice, which makes the first overall pick’s presence in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Steelers something less than a sure thing.

According to a report from Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, there’s worry that Garrett’s regular season debut will be delayed well beyond that date. Cabot reports that Garrett is headed for further tests on the ankle, which will likely include an MRI, and a team source told her that the team is “worried the injury could sideline him for weeks.”

It would be more surprising if there wasn’t some concern about Garrett missing an extended period of time given where the Browns took him in the draft and how high the expectations are for the impact he’ll have right off the bat.

Garrett dealt with a foot injury during minicamp in June, but coach Hue Jackson said that the current injury is to the other foot. Garrett was also hampered by an ankle injury at Texas A&M last season.

Nate Orchard and Carl Nassib would be options at defensive end in the event Garrett can’t play.

I purposely bought a Jersey T-Shirt (Myles Garrett) instead of a Jersey this time because of my bad luck, and this still happens.........

It's just so discouraging. I was so excited to see this guy play

I was excited to see him play too. With our luck, why should it be a surprise? I would hope they don't rush him back in. Let him come back 100%.

Very disappointing.

I think we can start wondering if he is now going to always be dealing with something chronic. Too many instances to be a coincidence.

Was really hoping to see him be a sure thing and be in the running for DROY.

I'm in a Madden league and was talking about the Browns roster with the guy who runs the Browns in it. (I'm the Lions, sad face)

And we were all talking about how quickly he's going to progress in the game.

And then I got an espn notification...

Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

It wouldn't be our Browns if something like this didn't happen right before our 1st game. Let's see, the Ty McGill thing, MG's injury, oh yes we need one more bit of bad news. Doesn't it happen in 3's?

Somehow, I was waiting for something like this. It happens every year. I don't believe in curses, but luck is not something this team has.

I'm with you, something else is going to happen. Kizer better carry a rabbits foot.

We shouldn't be running a meatgrinder before actual games.

Maybe we can knock Joe Thomas out tomorrow.

I don't like to make comments like my last post, I don't like to be negative, but as a Browns fan for 50 years it's hard to be anything else. The Cavaliers finally won after all those years. So did the Red Sox, White Sox and Giants in Baseball, the Rangers and Blackhawks in hockey and the Patriots in football. People forget they had been a laughingstock for nearly 40 years. We've now taken that mantra. There are probably other examples but you get my point. Excuse me but at this point I am very frustrated. Had to vent.

Hopefully, it's not a huge deal. I listened to the Mary Kay thing that Vambo posted. It's all speculation right now.

I did hear her say it was his right ankle. His left ankle was the one that had the high ankle sprain last year........... Guess the foot was a left lateral sprained foot too.

So this might be a right ankle

Either way, hopefully this is nothing serious
