Probably the biggest player I wanted to watch, sidelined... again. I hate our city sometimes.

my big thing is this could be a factor for the rest of his career. Likely? maybe not ... but there's a chance his ankles/feet will never be the same

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

My understanding (which is limited) it that absolutely can come back from this injury... if it's allowed to heal.

And that's the rub. We'll be so eager to get him back out there, we'll rush him, and it won't be totally healed.

I've had a severe sprain on my left ankle two times. The first time I did not allow it to heal properly and it hurt for several months. The second time I stayed off my feet and let it heal properly and it was better in several weeks.

Myles Garrett has an NFL training staff monitoring everything he does. I would not be shocked if he is back after week three.

I was planning on traveling across town to see this game with the Browns Backers, but will just watch it at home on the Direct TV NFL Ticket. Whiskey is cheaper at home. Wife is a Steelers fan, and really didn't want to deal with that.

I was speaking to my physical therapist and he basically said the same thing that it has to heal properly or it may linger. He also said the ankles can be wrapped for support and it should not hinder movement. I was also wondering how many Steelers were on the injury list until someone posed there was only one. What do we have 9 or 10? It never ends.

His first Injury ERVING stepped on his foot as he tried to make a move...

First I'm hearing that this one occurred with somebody falling on his ankle. Practice: probably stopped when he heard the whistle...got to always keep moving until the action stops.

I feel for the kid...and each and everyone of us!

Hope we kick ass anyways!

I mentioned previously on this thread that bad things happen in 3's. First TY M, then Myles G, then our mascot Moose. Now we have the Calvin Pryor fight. Since we are the Browns we have to one up everyone else and do it in 4"s!!! It's great to be a Browns fan!!! I can hardly wait every day to go on my computer and see what's happening!!! But wait, it's not even daily now it's every few hours!!! EXCITING!!!!! thumbsup

I thought the mascot was Swagger?

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

My attempt at translation.
Nate Orchard could replace Myles but he lost 20 pounds in the offseason. With that they put him on the depth chart behind Kirksey. Who, in the writers opinion, should be behind Orchard on the depth chart.

At least that's what I think was meant.
Not saying I agree. While I think he's a beast in the making, Orchard can't stay healthy. Kirksey stays on the field. That is often a bigger asset than 'potential'.

MG will be fine in 5 or 6 weeks. No reason to rush things. Hopefully, he's going to be a Brown for a long long time so let him rest it, rehab it and when he is 100% THEN bring him back. Not like we are headed for the playoffs anyway. It sucks he will miss the experience of those games, but it will be nice that he will be fresh at the end of the season. A lot of rooks hit a wall the last 1/4 as they aren't used to playing so many games. Our D should be alright. They will miss MG but with the new scheme and attitude, they should still play better than last year. Someone will just have to step up and fill in!

Shame about Pryor. But I love that Coach made an example of him. Coach says something you better listen. I think everyone knows Jackson isn't messing around now. No matter who you are, if Hue says walk away and you refuse it's your ass. Shame it cost us a good player but you can't let the players run the team. My opinion of Hue Jackson just went even higher.

That's a very good take on both subjects and I agree wholeheartedly. Let MG take all the time he needs and mend properly. Shame it had to happen.

Lets hope we let Garret rest it for a few weeks. I'd be ok with him not coming back until after the Bye Week if need be. Id rather him be 100% heales up then to rush him back and get him hurt more to the point he will be done for year.

here's to giving Garret the rest he needs to get back healthy.

I think the best part of this whole situation is that the FO granted Hue his wish. If what we know about the structure of the team is accurate, Hue has no power to release Pryor. Only Sashi does. But the FO quickly backed their coach. I think that's a great sign. Obviously someone wanted Pryor on the team to begin with.

Or maybe Sashi wanted Hue to make an example out of Pryor and urged the release......hmmmmm.

After watching Justin Houston last night and what he could do, I really hope that Garrett can get himself healthy and be that effective guy we need. That's just such an impact position.

Injuries like this really show you how good Joe Thomas is. Dependability is a huge quality to have in the NFL

If you believe what Mary Kay says, she was on 92.3 this morning, and stated that some on the coaching staff were not pleased with the FO trading Davis for Pryor. The coaches didn't feel Pryor added much value to the team and they liked Davis.

If what she says it is true, I agree with you, it's great that the FO allowed Hue to handle this on his own terms and release Pryor if he felt that was the best move for the team.

Davis imho was the worst player on that 2016 defense and Schobert made more plays in the first 2 preseason games than davis made in 16 plus preseason. If that's the guy the coaches wanted then hats off to Sashi for making the right freaking call.

He wasn't that good in preseason anyway and after this he prob wont be anything but a typical BROWNS 1st round bust. The BROWNS could have had TRIB and WATT and they blew it PER USUAL..... IMHO
