Anyone think it's possible we re-sign Greco to a lower number after week one?

It sounds like all of our backup tackles and Shon, who I believe is still backup quality as of week 1, are project tackles. I think we're really leaning on Joe Thomas to groom his replacements. And he'll do it, because he's a perfect guy at the end of his career. I think this is why we're asking for a first for him. I just hope these boys fall in love with the game like Joe did. If not, they'll be lucky to be good.

It's somewhat interesting we've brought in players from our 1st 3 opponents. Coates-Steelers-Wk1, Woodrum-Ravens-Wk2, Banner-Colts-Wk3. I noticed that as well.

I don't quite get why we have four QBs on our roster, unless we chose the Baltimore guy just to get a slight competitive edge.

I'm just guessing but I would say they probably liked him before and brought him in for the week to see if he is worth developing.

Having only 4 CB's make's me question what would have happened with the roster if Howard Wilson was healthy (or when he gets back healthy).

There is no way we go into the season w/four corners and 4 quarterbacks, right?

The Browns organization, including the smart FO and the coaches/personnel decision makers have stated they wanted to look at the QB from Baltimore/including quizzing him extensively to see his aptitude for QBing. Cody isn't a fit, JMHO, although a good guy. Safeties can't cover guys right, I thought another term....defensive back...applies also, how many of those do we have.....the team leadership will fill the appropriate gaps. Sashi makes final decisions, but seems Berry, another smart Harvard guy, who was All-league in college as DB, he calls lots of shots...maybe....we posters are way better/and smarter than he.....NOT.....GO Browns!!!!

I'm guessing they add depth there at CB once the QB situation sorts itself out. I don't know if they are hoping for an injury or some QB to look awful this weekend or what. Maybe Kessler and Hogan are banged up. Definitely an odd look.

How so?
There is more to it than just playing D. There are special teams. And if we break down on special teams, the chants to fire Tabor will grow.
We screwed him last year by not keeping good special teams guys and sticking turds like Louis out there. Are we going to trot out Cody on kickoff coverage. LMAO......I would actually kind of love that......in a weird way.

We probably have Kindred, Jordan, Pryor, and Campbell from the DB group. Schobert, Orchard, Alexander, and Burgess from the front seven. And then Williams, Coates, Davis, Louis, Telfer, and/or Dayes from offense. It's not ideal, but it's manageable for one week. (I don't like that we are carrying four QBs either, as I have said a bunch of times. It doesn't make sense.)

Carrying 3 qbs imho is pretty damn stupid unless u have that 3rd guy u think can develop long term into something really good. We have 3 QBs that would have difficulty making it as a starter in the Canadian league.

Are there only two of us that think picking up Woodrum, is spelling the end for Kessler?
minus Kessler and the rest are 6'3", 6'3", and 6'4". All of whom can seemingly throw the deep ball, that Cody cannot.

We are holding Kessler another week or two with the hope we can swing a trade for a player or a pick. At least that is my feeling. If nothing can be worked out, Kessler probably gets dropped.

I did say before TC that I wouldn't be shocked if we kept 4 QB's going into week 1, but I didn't think it would be these 4 QB's.

Reports saying Marcus Burley got signed by Texans Texans signed CB Marcus Burley, formerly of the Browns, to a two-year contract . Burley had a promising 2015 with the Seahawks across limited snaps but was cut and spent 2016 with the Browns where he only saw 29 defensive snaps. The 27-year-old projects as a slot corner and special teamer. Related: Browns Source: Aaron Wilson on Twitter Sep 5 - 10:59 PM http://www.rotoworld.com/sports/nfl/football?r=1

Cleveland Browns are releasing Zach Sterup (OT, Nebraska) from the 53-man roster. Talented young lineman will land on his feet very quickly. https://twitter.com/TesslerSports/status/905762276107587585

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

We should know soon who the team is signing to replace him, but the most obvious position of need that comes to mind would be defensive end, which could include the likes of Tyrone Holmes, Karter Schult, or Cam Johnson as an extra insurance policy due to the ankle injury Myles Garrett suffered on Wednesday. Overall, the Browns are still relatively thin at backup offensive tackle, but they claimed Zach Banner off waivers earlier in the week to add some depth to the position. https://www.dawgsbynature.com/2017/9/7/16266092/browns-releasing-ot-zach-sterup

Ian Rapoport‏Verified account @RapSheet Following More #Browns No. 1 pick Myles Garrett was diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain, knocking him out several weeks. Generally 4-6 weeks.
