First of all.........I have no idea how serious his injury is.
Secondly, before everyone freaks, this article pretty much echoes the video that Vambo posted in regards to the status of the injury.
It is not a confirmation.

Am I missing something? I thought that was speculative on Mary Kay's part? Am I wrong? He might be gone weeks. I have no idea. However, I don't think anything has been confirmed yet. I think they need to wait until the MRI is administered tomorrow.

I'm not worried about this. Sure, it hurts. But the rest of the D has been playing well. So its not like the end of the world. Its just typical crappy Cleveland luck.
Come back soon dude.

Exactly. We'll just plug another guy in and pick somebody off the waiver wire. They'll hold the fort until Myles comes back; probably around Halloween.

We're snake bit. We could have put him in a plastic bubble and I'm convinced he would have had an allergic reaction to the plastic. Hide him in an FBI safe house and he'd choke on a sandwich. It's just the destiny of any Browns 1st rounder. If you are the rare athlete you get hurt. See Winslow, and C.Brown. If you are a dud you stay healthy and hurt the team in any number of ways. From just sucking on the field to being an immature asshat. See damn near every other choice we ever made in round 1. Joe Thomas being the exception.
So entirely frustrating.

Maybe. But, remember, Garrett's first ankle injury here was not due to contact. (from what I've read)

Sorry for the derail, but just caught part of a show on the NFL Network about the Pat's Super Bowl victory.
Man, Julian Edelman is a freaking beast! What a passionate and great player. It's really sad he won't be playing this year.

wow another ankle injury. I am starting to think that he might be panting his foot/feet wrong, so when he plants his foot it is under more stress and rolls easier?
outside of that I am at a loss.

NEXT MAN UP...
Garrett does have a history of ankle injuries, so this is not a total shock and the Browns do have some depth at the DE with Orchard and Nassib.
Browns might check into ankle braces that give Garrett more support.

Yea buddy, I hope they do give him some support on his ankles. It is a pattern that seems to be consistent with him.
I hope that they figure it out.

UPDATE: Myles Garrett has been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain. His status will be updated in a couple weeks. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/20616...gh-ankle-sprainNot good news IMO.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

The dreaded high ankle sprain. I'm guessing he's out at least 3 weeks.
Bummer. Was looking forward to watching him play.

Yeah, high ankle sprains are serious. I'd just like to make sure he's healthy. No need to aggravate it and make this any more of a thing in the future than it needs to be. The high ankle sprain was what Leigh Bodden spent so much time dealing with

Wondering what the average career longevity has been for players with high ankle sprains.

And so it begins! We got 10 guys on the injury list (9 really as 1 was Joe Thomas who takes off) 5 Limited practice including our Overall #1 pick Garrett as well as an important Edge backup in Orchard.
The Steelers??? They had one guy practicing Limited.
Arrggghhh!

It is odd that this injury is to his right ankle...in his last year of college ball, it was Garrett's LEFT ankle that bothered him most of the season.
We don't know the details of how it happened, but obviously the Browns medical staff has a big challenge facing them, trying to find a solution to MG's ankle issues.
Like I said earlier, next man up...

It sucks but we have to deal with it, hoping he gets back healthy soon, and ready to go. other teams suffer injuries, as Vers might have been hinting with a post last evening.

At this point, I'll just be happy if he doesn't get a staph infection from it. In Browns fandom, that would be equivalent to winning the Super Bowl.
