Jay Bruce continues to pay dividends for this team. That was a great trade for the Tribe!

Speaking of streaks!
I kid! I kid!
Hell I'll admit I thought it was ending here, but shame on me, this team has proven if nothing they are clutch. It's amazing what we are witnessing.

Well there's some argument as to what the true record is. The Giants with a 26 game streak that included a non-counted tie, and the Cubs, who we just passed, who had a 21 game streak. Guess it's time to unify the titles and leave no doubt!
In case anyone missed it, the Indians did clinch a playoff spot with their big come back victory.
Our magic number for winning the championship is down to 3.The Twins have actually played really well over the last 3 or so weeks.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Not to get to far ahead of ourselves, but the playoff roster is only 25 guys. You want to talk about first world problems, who doesn't make the cut?
Let's just say we take 12 pitchers and 13 position guys. Your staring playoff rotation will probably be:
SP: Kluber SP: Carrasco SP: Bauer SP: Clevinger
We've got relievers in: RP: Smith RP: Goody RP: Otero RP: McCallister SU: Miller SU: Shaw CP: Allen
We've got 1 spot left and I'll assume we bring along Tomlin or Salazar as potential 5th starters/long-inning relief. one of those guys would get dropped, or we would have to leave someone like McCallister out to make room for two starters. It would also leave Ryan Merritt off, and a few of the other potential bullpen guys.
Now that just leaves 13 spots for the field. We'll assume these guys start: DH: EE 1B: Santana 2B: Ramirez SS: Lindor RF: Bruce LF: Chisenhall
and we bring both catchers: C: Gomes C: Perez
This is where it gets tricky. Assume Kipnis and Brantley come back healthy, we'd have to bring them right? That would give us a CF, and a 3B as J-Ram would move back. But then you're left with only 3 more spots. And here's your list to pick from:
Jackson Guyer Almonte Diaz Urshela Naquin Allen
So four of those guys would have to sit, and that's not counting Zimmer, who's probably out for the rest of the year.
I would probably bring Urshela, as his defense at third has been a big part of this streak. I'd almost be tempted to leave J-Ram at 2nd with the way they've been playing. Austin Jackson seems like the best choice for outfield, and then I'd probably have to go with an experienced guy like Guyer for the last spot.
Didn't give the Tribe much of a chance after having the bases loaded and one out in the 8th and hitting two weak foul outs. Both guys looked like they were trying to hit homeruns instead of getting the ball in play and scoring a run (or two)...
In the 10th, Bruce settled in and made a much better swing.
Ramirez.. dude is fun to watch and plays 1000 mph all the time but I tell you, if he gets thrown out at second and the Indians end up losing.. it would not have looked good for him. If that throw was on the correct side of the base, he was out by 3 feet.
But, despite the fact it's far rarer than a World Series Championship, every single Indians fan over the age of -9 months (conception) would trade it in a heartbeat for a World Series Ring.
($69.99)
By the way, how did the Tribe go up 3 games in the win column over Houston?
man, that Ramirez double was TIGHT ... took some cajones to go for 2nd. Hero/Goat on the line ... thankfully it worked out

Don't blink.
Well, considering we can't win the World Series in August/September... I'm just going to enjoy the heck out of this streak right now...
As much as I love both guys ( Assume Kipnis and Brantley come back healthy, we'd have to bring them right? ) I am not down with that .. Especially Kip !
Screw you bauer, god he is erratic, must be off his adderall. Loses focus

Yeah this streak just needs to end, go back to having fun and just playing

Well, this streak is over, but man am I proud of these guys! It's not everyday you get to see sports history.
14 or so games left. Minnesota is behind, so their magic number may still drop.
Let's go Tribe!
