Hey peen...........remember when you scoffed when I said you would be blaming Hue for the losses?

It sure took a long, long time for that to occur. LOL

I have to get out of this forum for awhile. It's beyond crazy.

Got up early today, to go golfing. Charity event, benefiting kids with special needs in Williams County Ohio.

14 under won. The team I was on was 14 under. smile Ate, then I came home, wondering what I missed.

Same old same old on here.

I had a great Sunday.

Kizer had a bad game, lots of rookies do in Baltimore. But, people acting like its the end of the world. Typical.

Hell stretch is over. Colts are real bad. Kizer should look a lot better.

you had a good run Hank.

Game went as I expected.

Ravens defense was going to take advantage of a young Browns offense and they did.

The team fought the whole game.

Higgins made the most of his opportunity. Nice to see.

Njokue needs to be allowed the patience required for him to develop.

Would have liked to have seen Hue call a RB run play after Duke ran the ball to the Ravens 3 or 4 yard line. However, this year is about evaluating Kizer and letting the young guys grow, so I understand him putting it on Kizer to see if he can put the the ball in the end zone.

Averaging 1.5 sacks per game as a defense is disappointing for a team that was supposed to be aggressive. I see a defense that is trying to keep everything in front of them and doing what it can to not give up the big play.

Lots of season left and looking forward to watching who develops and takes a step forward this season.

Lot of pressure on Hue and Kizer to win the next few games.

Can't use the "they're a great team excuse after today. "

Being reported that Jamie Collins suffered a concussion during the game and is being evaluated. Hopefully, he checks out healthy and clears protocol.

I saw a team in the second year of a total rebuild, with the youngest roster in the league, 2 young QBs, an Offense that had only 2 starters who were starters for most of last year, and a defense without arguably its best player (Myles Garrett)lose to a division rival who has one of the best defenses in the league. You can't commit 5 turnovers and expect to win no matter who you are.

Britt is useless.
The running back we all thought could be the real deal is an undrafted free agent who has shown knucklehead tendencies in the past. Not so surprising he looks lethargic.
We should not expect to beat Pittsburgh OR Baltimore with a rookie quarterback.
Our No. 1 pick still hasn't played.
We are about where we are supposed to be. I don't like it much, either.

It's sad seeing a 52 year old tight end almost drop 100 yds on you.

Changes I'd like to see made:

1. Hire an OC, let him call the plays and let Hue coach. Simplify the offensive playbook.
2. Cut Britt (he is a waste IMO) and sign a gutsy, hungry free agent WR instead who has a chip on his shoulder much like Pryor did. Should have kept him...
3. Play Matthew Dayes as soon as possible. I am super unimpressed with Crow this season but perhaps that may be a result of bad play calling and un-willingness tor un the ball. Jackson is always pass, pass, pass.
4. Get Josh Gordon Back.
5. Sign a veteran TE or WR. One that is actually a veteran, NOT BRITT OR BOWE. Someone like Smith Sr when the Ravens had him, or remember when we had JJ in 2007.

I saw rookie qb's make rookie mistakes that cost us the game. One thing I did notice was that the 4 or 5 times they actually showed Kizer's eyes on screen, he was going through progressions and not locking on to a particular receiver. Hue's timeout and red flag management continue to need work. Outside of giving up that 3 play td drive to end the half, I think the D played well enough to win.

Yep! Having said that, I thought the offense was somewhat improved this week while the defense slightly regressed. We are just going to have to ride this up-n-down until the bumps can be smoothed out. I do see the potential for improvement and look forward to our first win next week...

Just finished watching the game on DVR.. disappointed.

-Kizer is holding the ball too long (repeat of last week).
-Kizer was really inaccurate today. I can't give him the 'he's a rookie' excuse when it comes to accuracy. Can't do it. Won't do it. In my Mike Singletary voice.
-Britt and Coates gave minimal effort. I didn't see any fire in them. Gotta be crazy when a guy who just got elevated off of practice squad makes his presence felt, and a starter can't.
-Dropped passes.. It is a part of the game, but if we ever want to be consistently good, we can't drop balls.
-Good to see Duke make some plays. Not much to say about Crow, outside of he was so close to breaking long for a TD.
-PENALTIES!!! omg.. So annoying!
-Today's defense looked very similar to last years. I couldn't tell that Greg Williams was running the show.
-Jamie Collins.. he always gets praised, but how is he benefiting our defense? what plays has he made?
-Kevin Hogan moved the ball very well.. He'll continue to get some questions about being a starter if Kizer has multiple INT games. Hogan pushed the ball down the field with no problem.

Props to a few guys... Hogan,Duke, Devalve, Higgins

I don't care what anyone says about NOT KEEPING OUR OWN, but if we keep Crowell after this year I will be pissed off.

I didn't scoff, but I remember. I just didn't think it would be this fast for him to show he is a crappy coach.

But to be fair, it's not his fault that his guy is a sissy wimp who sits because of a headache. Joe makes his 10,000th straight snap, this guy pulls himself out because of a headache.

I'd cut him because he will never be able to lead this team. He lost it for me today. I think he lost it with some teammates as well.

In my opinion, yeah, he's not good enough to keep. He's on borrowed time right now. Please start Matthew Dayes at this point. thumbsup

i always had a problem with his crow feet...a blade of grass trips him up. a pinky on his shoe and he`s down

He`s not getting his 40 mill he was hoping

we do need to run the ball more than 10 times a game though.

how is it with rookie qbs we throw 80% of the time? we did that last year and hue said it was a mistake...same this year

I`m good with Baker... Playoffs is good enough for me.

crow seems to lack burst or oomph this year .. whether it's apathy, injury, lack of blocking, etc ... just seems MEH

1) I saw a rookie QB that shouldn't be playing yet.

2) I saw a power running back struggle when asked to run out of the shotgun because we are worried about our QB's drop backs.

3) I saw a defense that played poorly but still held the Ravens to 24 points after we gave them 5 turnovers.

4) I saw a lack of effort by Coates.

5) I saw a game that we should have won put in the loss column.

Crow has had the same issue. He is awesome when he runs hard. Unfortunately he rarely dose. Seems like he needs some kind of kick in the pants. I remember a game last year when he was just playing blah. Then he had a penalty called against him that cost us a 1st down or a big gain or something. After that he ran all pissed off and ended up having a great game. If we could only figre out how to get him to do that most of the time.

My way too early choice for our top pick is Saquon Barkley

J/C,

I am just thankful that Hollywood Higgins was not picked up in waivers, especially now that Coleman has a broken hand and the two vetern WR's Britt and Coates have looked like they could care less and are here just for the $$$.

I keep reading about Kiser this, Kiser that , ceiling and potential .. Curious as to what you have witnessed in Pre Season and the first two games that makes him a better QB than Hogan .. I have no idea where the two young men are going to end up in their careers .. I make no bones that I would have started Hogan at Pit .. I thought he was more in control , and throwing a better ball . I am no expert !

Hue Jackson : was not sold on him as an OC last season and wish the FO would insist that we hire one .. Head Coach , yea , why not for a couple more years.. He puts a Rook in bad positions number one . We where like fist 10 at the twelve or something .. You have a millionaire line / Crow & Duke and you throw three times.

Anyone upset with my post and wants to leave the forum ,,,, Ok with me .lol

Agreed with all the above. The Ravens lost a ton of players this offseason to injury, we should have been able to capitalize and pull off an encouraging win today. However this team is just still way behind; sadly.

I can't give up on Kenny Britt cause Eotab thinks he's a good WR.I have think postive
About Britt.
I mean Cmon he had 27 qbs last year as a Ram.
How fair is that to a underachieving soft WR?

At no point should we have won this game. Anyone looking at this objectively knew the Browns never had a chance. Folks were kidding themselves otherwise.

This has always been a 3 win team this year. Let them grow and make mistakes.

GC. Losing Stinks! Boy they sure pulled the wool over my eyes.

few notes.

Offensive gameplan - insufficient? or

Too complicated. or
Or using too many players, Put the best 11 out there;

they've used about 13 for just the 5 skilled positions alone, in two games, .. ehh, maybe 9-10 would be ok, just maybe simplify the offense.

Ok. Note. 2nd qtr. down 14-7 moveing the ball past midfield, Hogan, 39 secs to go, may as well just call a timeout, instead they let 10 secs run off to line up, (penalty!) and use the timeout to avoid "another" 10 secs runoff.

3rd qtr. 10+minutes to go, timeout used when they can't break the huddle on their own side of the field.

The migraine? I'm not going to believe it.

It's what they said publicly, so that's their story and they can stick to it. I'll stick with not believing it.

Oh my gosh, The 2018 QB lasted 5 and a half quarters. Go Cleveland!

Another point. It's the end of the game, (you'd need an onside kick anyways) its the 2 minute drill.
....
And I don't care HOW MANY COACHES, COORD. OR OWNERS. WAYY back to 2006, HOW in the Heck do the Browns still find a way to throw 2 yard outs in the 2 minute offense?

Man that hurts to watch! You are across midfield and you can't even throw one up for grabs in the end zone?
You can't even throw an incomplete into the end zone, you telling me
YOu have to dump off 2, and 1 yard patterns with less than 2 minutes to go in the game.

4 turnovers. to 2 turnovers.. (make that 5 to 2)

It sure didn't take them long to lock up last place in the div. entire NFL.

Broacast said the Browns haven't won a road game in about a ton of trys or something, so, After they play next week, who acts more like an 0-3 team Indy, or Cleveland?

When is the winning going to come! When is the winning NOW going to come!

other observ.
Earlier in the game, give up on the run game? NO DON'T! I SEE that the run up the middle didn't seem to work.
Mix that up a little, what happened to outside runs?
They've got a 400 pounder standing next to another one in the middle, so run outside.

Hue Jackson, Said, He want's to find out what this team can do to win! I think we need to give him some ideas.

I think Hue / (some of them) / reads this board, how many boards are there, if I didn't why would I post? Just to vent?

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
