Probably not, but they needed that performance.
Looked terrible in the first half. Very good in the second half.

It's really amazing considering that they have a top five recruiting class year in and year out. Question: Why can't OSU ever find a good kicker? You know, one that can kick it into the end zone on kickoffs.

Looked terrible in the first half. Very good in the second half. I would agree, but Barrett really doesn't fill me with confidence. Plus, we were playing Army. They had to give up 20-50 pounds per position.

I pretty much agreed w/you.
It just slays me sometimes that the Buckeyes can win by 31 points and people complain while the Browns lose by 3 and they are praised. LOL..........it's amazing.

Vers - life is about expectations.
I am about to head into work. If I expect to work 6 hours and end up working 8, I am pissed off that I had to stay an extra 2 hours. If I expect to work 10 hours and end up working 8 then I am ecstatic because I am getting home 2 hours early. I worked the same 8 hours but had different expectations.
We expect OSU to be good. We expect them to win because they played well not because the opponent stinks. When they don't we are upset.
We expect the Browns to stink. When they play well, even if they lose, we are encouraged and optimistic.

This team has no chance at a national title this year. That's what the "Experts" said in 2014 after VA. TECH
John 3:16 Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

Urban has them kick it short on purpose. Since they moved the touchback yardage, he thinks he can pin them deeper with the higher kick angled to a corner.

It just slays me sometimes that the Buckeyes can win by 31 points and people complain while the Browns lose by 3 and they are praised. LOL..........it's amazing. Because it's about expectations and the quality of their play... I expect OSU to win by 30 against army... It's friggin army.... However there are some concerns with the run defense that was expected to be a real strength of the team... And I have concerns with Barrett's accuracy on the passing game especially for being a four year starter.. Browns aren't expected to do squat this year... so to see them be at least competitive against a team that is expected to be in the playoffs is positive... I'm very happy the Buckeyes bounced back... But the big ten is stacked.... I think through the first three games I still have concerns and would not be surprised if they don't get to the big ten championship game... Though I wouldn't be srirpsied if their offense starts clicking and they make a run... They have a ton of talent, especially on defense... But they have some glaring holes currently,

Nice to see a victory and a nice one at that, but I agree... I don't think a title is our sights this year looking at the team.

it was nice to get the backup QB some work though. Maybe try to ease him along here
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

No comments about today's game?
It was a mismatch, but the Buckeyes did what they needed to do.
I really think Dobbins is going to be a stud. The next Zeke.
The WR unit is growing. They are raw, but there is potential there.
We are a very deep team.
Still worried about the secondary, but they have potential.
I appreciate it when one of my teams wins.

Speaking for myself, I had a class last night and today. I was concerned about putting a sermon together that had me completely stymied, until I actually got to the pulpit. It was the weirdest thing., lol

I like Matt Millen. I think he is a very good announcer.
Buckeyes looking good.
D-line is killing Rutgers.
Dixon is so quick.
Special teams are dominating.
We're young.............but jelling.

I would still like to see our secondary keep growing and getting better. The DLine is really quick to the ball when teams run the ball.

Are you kidding me? That was a great block? They are calling targeting? Goodness! He hit helmet to helmet on a blindside block on a as Barrett was running out of bounds. That was an easy targeting call. I usually don't agree with targeting, but that was a simple call.

He certainly didn't seem like he said much, but the ref was right there, so it must have been enough to draw the flag. I'm glad they changed the targeting call, though. And, yes, Parris Campbell is incredibly quick.

Slaughtered them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
JT looked good! Our defensive line is a beast and having Nick is like we never lost Joey lol. Those Bosa's kids look exactly the same. Hubbard too is just not able to be contained.

Great game for the Buckeyes today.
They destroyed an undermanned Maryland team and were really able to work on their passing game as well as get a lot of young players extended playing time.
The first targeting penalty was BS. The second was a good call.
Our DL was dominant and Bosa is growing by leaps and bounds.
The secondary is improving and so is the WR unit.
We have two excellent RBs and JT is looking a better.
The OL is perhaps the biggest question.
#14 worries me when catching punts. He didn't drop any, but he looks shaky.
The special teams were really bad. Urban has to be fuming.

Yep, OSU is still light years ahead of Maryland in pretty much every aspect, most noticeably on both lines... The guy that went directly at the head of a sliding QB with a 55-7 lead should get one of those stickers... well done.

Penn State is probably going to give Ohio State a lot of problems. Their qb can buy time and hurt them w/late throws and by running and Barclay is an awesome RB.
I hate saying it, but PSU should be favored.
The one thing I want to add about Ohio State is that I think a lot of their backups [young guys] look extremely talented.
This team is only going to get better as time progresses.

PSU will and deservedly so, should be favored. I expect it to be an entertaining game.
I think OSU pulls it out. A win here and it may propel them back into the playoff conversation.
Should be a fun one.
Barkley is indeed a stud/playmaker. I'd have no problems having him as a Brown.
OSU's pipeline is rich. As is expected.
