It looks like the Indians will have 3 players with MVP consideration; Kluber, Ramirez and Lindor Unfortunately, they'll probably cancel each other out in the vote.

Something fun to think about for a couple of years from now ..... You can never have too much pitching, and this kid looks like a valuable commodity in the minors ..... or a potential quality starter in a couple of years. Thus far nothing has been too big for him. Indians' Shane Bieber: Breezes through three levels in 2017 - CBSSports.com https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseba...levels-in-2017/Bieber -- who worked his way from Low-A Lake County to Double-A Akron in 2017 -- finished the minor-league season with a 10-5 record, 2.86 ERA and 1.13 WHIP over 28 starts. In just his second professional season, the Tribe's fourth-round pick in 2016 blew the roof off by tearing through the organization's minor-league ladder. Bieber's overall 162:10 K:BB was simply unreal, and his ability to dominate at three levels without a problem was more than impressive. The 22-year-old right-hander actually got better as the competition stiffened, lowering his ERA and BAA at each stop along the journey. Bieber has earned himself a nice long look in next spring's camp, but a spot in the big-league rotation is still at least two years away, assuming he continues to have success. No relation to Justin, I hope?

LOL No idea. The only thing I know is that he moved up 3 levels this year, and actually got better as he did so. For the year, we walked 10 batters, and struck out 162. That's just insane. In 173 IP, he gave up 185 hits, and his WHIP was 1.13. He finished the year at Akron. (AA) It will be interesting to see how he does when he hits AAA

Yep.
But hey, slow down.
Kipnis has won American League Player-of the-Month 5 times in the last 4 years.
Meaning during those months he was the best player in the American League.
He was #1 out of about ~ 1,000 players.
Five times
That's kinda good. He's got something going for him.
Still he'll have to give Francona reason to put him on that tight post-season roster.
And you're right.
What a great problem to have! he's old, below average defensively and currently has a better player occupying his spot. If he can platoon in the outfield, all the better, and it might actually help his longevity not being an everyday player. It's going to be interesting, but i see him being flipped for another player. He probably sees himself as an everyday player still. Love kip though, easy guy to root for. Maybe if Santana doesn't get resigned he goes over to first

A word of warning to us Indians fans.
For the first 98 years of the American League, the 1954 Cleveland Indians had the best regular season record in the history of baseball: 111-43.
Then the heavily-favored Indians got swept 4-0 in the World Series.
A crushing blow that the city has still not gotten over.

Things like this in recorded history are made to be overcome. As they say, 'That's why you play the game'. Nobody ever came back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA until the 2016 Cavaliers either.
WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM my two cents...

Jay Bruce ... Single, Double, and now a Triple ..... He'll just need a HR for the cycle.

Tribe wins it, 6-2. I think that Clevinger is going to be our post-season #4, behind Kluber, Carrasco, and Bauer. I'll take that rotation plus our bullpen against anyone.

Man, Shaw and Allen really have to make it difficult in the late innings.

Worst feeling is going into the 9th with a 1 or 2 run lead and knowing allen is up..lol, luckily we don't get too many of those since our bats have been on fire since august

Allen is so dangerous for Cleveland that he almost cost Sherwin Williams a million dollars! what was that? Angels stadium has a giant can of Sherwood Williams beyond the centerfield wall. If someone hits the ball into it they win $1 million. An Angel hit the can last night (hit a homer that almost went in the can). Justin Upton? Cody Allen was pitching. Coincidentally, Greg Allen caught the last out of the game in centerfield a batter or two later.

Baseball is impossible to predict.
There are millions of variables. The format of post season today with wild cards and three series to win it all?
Total crap shoot.
The Tribe will and should be the favorites. But once it starts it is kind of meaningless.

Well yeah short series.
But, Francona knows what it takes to have the best odds of winning.
Going into this postseason, the Indians should be as primed as any team ever has been.
Geez Boston is going to be hard to get by.
No guarantees.
This is going to be a very tough postseason. I almost wish I didn't have a vested interest. (avid Indians fan)

It hit off the base of the paint can and bounced in.

Lindor hit a homerun and kept talking to the catcher. I wonder what that was about.

Tribe scores 3 in the top of the 7th to make it 6-2 Indians. Unfortunately, Perez left 'em loaded ..... but we got the lead. Let's go Tribe!

Gotta give Shaw credit where it's due. Joe Smith left the door open for the Angels, and Shaw slammed it shut. Struck out Trout to end it too!

I still favor Kluber overall. But what a choice to have. And Lindor is a real gem. He is more valuable to the team day to day perhaps. I only wish Kluber had enjoyed better support this season.
This is fine stuff, but it is not what we are about. Something bigger out there. Use the stretch here to find some more offense.

Is it me or does it always feel like Tomlin is three batters away from giving up a three run homer? But not from walks. I think he's leading the American League in fewest walks per 9 innings pitched again. His game ERA was 3.37 yesterday. 3.18 the game before 3.60 the game before that 1.59 the game before that. We can thank Francona for his masterful deployment of Tomlin since his return from the DL. What I mean is Francona left Tomlin in to pitch against the perfect number of batters given the game situation. For instance, I think his game ERA would be a lot higher if Tomlin had been left in to face another 1-2 batters.

I trust Tito with the management more than anyone else in the MLB. He's got the experience, the feel, temperament, etc.

Are you nervous? In a good way? Salazar is pitching this afternoon. If his arm issues resolve, if he returns to anywhere near 100%, WOW.

Tomlin has pitched 132 innings thus far this season, and has struck out 100, while walking only 14. That's amazing. How about this .... ? As a staff, the Indians have struck out 1500 hitters, while allowing only 385 walks. That's just sick! How about this: Kluber leads the AL with 17 wins. Tied for 2nd are Carrasco and Bauer with 16. As a staff, the Tribe leads baseball with a 3.36 ERA. They have allowed the fewest BB, at 385. They lead the Majors with 19 shutouts. Their pitching has been pretty good.

Andrew Miller loaded 'em up, then struck out 2 to end the scoreless inning. Top of the 8th, 4-1 Good Guys.
