President Trump has called out the NFL, NBA, Stephen Curry for players disrespecting America, our National Anthem and the Flag.
Regardless of where you come down on the issue, President Trump has Brilliantly started a National Conversation we have needed to have for a very long time.

My personal view is the fact that any President of the United States of America benefits nothing by inviting Champions to the White House to be honored. It does not increase his TV Ratings or put millions of dollars into his pocket. It does not honor him or the Nation, it honors you!
These Pampered Primadonna Multi Millionaires who are paid to entertain us have now decided that THEY HONOR US by showing up at the White House. It has become all about them as individuals as they behave like they are more important than that Flag and that Anthem!
They dishonor all those who fought and died for America and the Flag that draped their caskets when they refuse to stand for the Anthem.
Well Mr. Entertainer, you had better get back to entertaining your audience or that audience will be gone.

They should be called out. Players kneeling during the anthem is the number 1 reason fans have stopped watching games according to polls. Last Sunday nights game ratings were the lowest or 2nd lowest ever.
Trump is right, the NFL will change their view on this when the bottom line starts to suffer.
I support the cause but despise the method in which they're protesting.

please stop talking about honor when the guy you voted for is a draft dodger.
he is the most dishonorable person out of any of these situations.

So now the president is trying to tell NFL owners how to run their businesses. Calling players SOB's and thinks that players aren't hitting each other hard enough like in the good old days. So the best thing to do is cuss at them and obviously be too stupid to understand brain trauma.
Yeah, I listened to it. And it didn't take me long to figure out who the SOB was.

Not standing for the National Anthem is a disgraceful, selfish, despicable act. There is no excuse to justify it. People who insist on doing that SHOULD be called out for it.

So? If the POTUS doesn't like it tough luck. Nobody is forcing him to watch. As if he has the time to anyways. Don't like watching players taking a knee during the NA don't friggin watch sports or go to any games. It's that simple. Employers or the POTUS can not be allowed to take away our constitutional rights. It's a slippery slope to dictatorship.

Called out or cussed at? So nobody is permitted to do something you disagree with or are opposed to? You do understand that our founding fathers disagree with you, right?
You see, I'm offended by it but that's their right no matter how I feel on a personal level. It's actually between the players and their employers.
Of course you would uphold Trump in telling owners how to run their business and cursing at people he disagrees with. Why am i not surprised?
And what about him saying players should hit each other harder? Are you going to support his advocating concussions and brain injuries too?
He has no class and and comments on things he knows nothing about. And the crowd goes wild! lmao He's an azz hat.

When he's not picking a playground fight with North Korea he has to turn on Americans.
Trump has no clue what the protest is for or what it means. He lives in an ivory castle and has no idea how the rest of the world live let alone what 99.9% of America experience on a daily basis. Whether it be race relations/profiling or general survival worries and concerns. No clue. Also, it says a lot that he spent more time and energy talking about sports and the anthem than he did addressing the Neo-Nazis/White Supremacists and their terrorist attack and murder in Charlottesville.
Such a shame and equally as sad is that most of the GOP sit silent and don't show any moral backbone by standing up to him because they fear losing their job.

Statement from Browns’ owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam: “We view our organization, our league and our players as great unifiers of people. Our players, just like so many others across our league, have been honest and thoughtful with their attempt to bring awareness to the issues of inequality and social injustice. We were incredibly moved by the meaningful and powerful dialogue they initiated within our organization when they spoke of their intent to unify and not be disrespectful while using familiar and important terms like one nation, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Their intent is to create positive and unifying change and that was demonstrated well by the unity they led prior to our home opener. They have continued to prove this dedication to unite diverse members of our community throughout this past month by establishing direct conversation with the Cleveland Police Department and creating a plan to work together in our neighborhoods. We are also proud of their many other significant efforts in our city throughout the year that are done quietly to improve the lives of others. We must not let misguided, uninformed and divisive comments from the President or anyone else deter us from our efforts to unify. Our stance in support of the liberties of peaceful, personal expression afforded to our players and all Americans will remain strong, and we will continue to encourage our players to respectfully use their earned platform to inspire positive change in our nation and throughout society.” https://www.facebook.com/AdamSchefter/posts/1632084643510837

I don't care for players political views. Sports is entertainment, politics isn't entertaining at least to me. That said, Trump is a moron for jumping into the weeds on this and too many other issues. He just can't seem to grasp this whole "being presidential" thing and it's disturbingly growing a fungus on this country.

Lebron showed complete and absolute disrespect to the Office of President of the United States of America. Like he is more important than all America stands for. Today I saw the Baltimore Ravens, representing the United States of America in a Foreign land, stand for the British Anthem and then knelt for the American National Anthem! SHAME!

I'm glad the owners are coming out against Trump. even Robert Kraft, who is boys with Trump, defending his players.
that also puts a lid on people thinking most of these owners was gonna make a rule banning the players from kneeling.
and now the NBA is in on it too.
but it says a lot that people are most ticked off at a peaceful protest over a white supremacist committing a terrorist attack, including our own president.

President Trump has dedicated himself to Making America Great Again and one issue that touches most of our divided society is this issue of Rights, Respect, Honor, Dishonor, Law, Order, When and where opinions and causes should be presented, Respect for authority and who exactly thinks they are more important than America herself. Wading into this is exactly what our Leader needs to do at this time. These issues need discussion.

So? Nobody is forcing you to watch sports. Get over it or don't watch. Umm people watching is what makes the NFL profitable. When enough people stop watching, the NFL will stop the players from protesting in this manner. That's what Trump is saying. Advertisers are leaving and ratings are down already. Believe me, profits come before protests. Especially for the greedy NFL.

most owners have made a statement going against trump.
the nfl is aware of profits taking a slight hit, and allow it anyway.
and guess what? stadiums are still getting filled, people are still watching.
there's no reason to believe you, because the same people who on the other threads claimed they were gonna stop watching the browns because of their protest are doing what?
yea, they are right back to watching on sundays.

See, we are not that different in regards to how we "feel" about it. Point being, I feel the exact same way when the KKK or neo nazis have rallies in our nation. But the fact is, people who I disagree with have the right to "peaceful protest" whether I like it or not. It's a part of free speech and the right to peacefully protest. Those are rights that are ingrained in our nation. While I don't like what the players are doing, I'm not going to stand by when our president decides he's going to make public comments attacking people for exercising their rights. Saying he disagrees with them is one thing, but the visceral way with which he attacks those who disagree with him is petty and childish. Quite unbecoming of his office. I understand you disagreeing with the players. But if we don't stand up for their rights, no matter our beliefs on the subject, how long until our rights are also infringed upon?

even with the protest, you realize the nfl is still the top sport in America, right? you're wishing that enough people will stop watching. not my fault you're too gullible to realize that won't happen. Again, I said when ENOUGH people stop watching. So you're saying advertisers haven't left? Are you saying people haven't stopped watching? This happens to be the NUMBER 1 reason. Why was last Sunday nights game ratings the lowest?
did i say any of that? no. you didn't even read my post. i clearly stated that profits took a slight hit. but the nfl is still profiting like crazy. the ratings were the lowest...which is still the highest compared to most other shows. oops are you one of the guys who will stop watching? posting on a browns message board says you aren't. so this is the message you're sending: "man, people are gonna stop watching the nfl and then they will have no choice but to make a rule against it. i won't be one of those guys who will put my money where my mouth is, but i hope others do for me so i can cheer them on!!" lol, need somebody else to fight your battles for you. if you feel this strongly, stop watching. bet you won't though.
Owners can say what they want. They've said they would have no problem signing Colin Kaep but yet no team has. I find that to be very interesting.
and yet none of the players currently on a team protesting have been cut. one player vs how many we are gonna see this sunday kneeling? don't like it, watching bowling.

This is why I don't like talking to you, YOU MAKE CRAP UP and twist everything that is said. FYI; I didn't watch any football the 3 years the Browns were gone. I didn't watch any football last year. If you noticed, you won't find any posts from me in any other forum on this board. I use to post religiously on the old board talking football. I registered in 2013 and have a little over 200 posts. I WILL STOP WATCHING!
