stop playing stupid.

What ever happened to him? Did he lose interest?

again, if you'd pay attention, then you'd already know the answer to that.

and the answer is no. he's very much active. donating time and money all over the country.

I pay attention you hear he can't get a job but nothing about what you said please link your article maybe I missed it.

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/08/colin-ka...wer-communities

this is one of many things he's done.

again, you need to actually pay attention.

Almost a year ago, Colin Kaepernick pledged to donate $1 million “to organizations working in oppressed communities.” Specifically, he’s targeting those affected by the injustices he protested against while sitting and kneeling during the national anthem during the 2016 NFL season.Starting in October, Kaepernick has donated money in $100,000 increments to various organizations – detailed on his website. According to his Instagram account, his donation total has reached $800,000.

So about a year ago...nothing recent.

I don't know. That would probably be a better question for Swish. He pays closer attention to this stuff than I do.

What do you pay attention to? Maybe someone will start a thread on something you know about.

you get that right? they are protesting to get some things changed. but that takes policy changes. police reform, efforts to help inner city schools, etc.

again, you would know these things if you paid attention.
I know this all started actually before KAP. This all started with the Saints and "hands up don't shoot". Again, they have a platform that no one else has, do you agree? If they speak (or kneel) people listen - do you agree? So why have I not heard of one player meeting with the president? going to congress? outlining training programs and initiatives? Legislation only comes from those willing to put an effort to have it legislated. Ohhhhh I know, cause if he meets with the president black people all over the country call him racist names, post racist pictures of them, call them traitors, etc. Guess what, all the racist things I ever heard in my neighborhood came from black people to other black people, weird huh?

but this is the problem. we tell you whats going on
You haven't answered one of my questions yet. you point to protest, but nothing else, no constructive plans or initiates in place to correct the issue (and if you read my post in other places - I AGREE THERE IS AN ISSUE!!)

I am asking questions and you want to throw out half answers because you don't have the real ones, as I am pointing out the NFL players apparently don't know what they want either.

ISSUE - Cops shooting black people for no reason
HOW TO FIX IT - Kneeling at anthem

Do you think that is going to fix the fact that training programs for police are not comprehensive enough? Background checks are not more conclusive with social media history, family history, etc. But you don't want to hear real answers - because if something actually gets fixed, maybe excuses run out.

Because they refused to go to the White House because they call Trump a racist.

I tried to go out of my way to commend Colin Kaepernick (not something that many would expect of me, I imagine) for his charitable ventures and somehow you find fault with the fact that I don't know the specific date that he last donated. Ridiculous.

Well this is awkward. I was under the impression that he was donating his own personal money. Can anyone clarify?

I think it was a bad move on Curry,s behalf but I guess he had to show he was one of the BOYS when he had a golden opportunity to discuss this with the PRESIDENT person to
person maybe that would have started a great dialogue IMHO

Its just to bad that so many people are listening to the alt left media about the PRESIDENT being a racist maybe the minorities should find out for themselves by meeting with the man and stop listening to the progressive that look at them as a voting block IMHO.

That would ruin their ability to pay off any company from moving to their city. And we can't have that. Just another emotional whine about depriving people of their rights by wrapping themselves in the flag.

How much you want to bet this is coming from the former tea party members that now call themselves the Freedom Caucus? The fringe whines again.

I agree with you Pit.. in theory I do not like the NFL (or other pro teams) holding cities hostage and essentially forcing them to use tax payer money to pay for stadiums...

On the other hand, is it any different than giving GE or IBM or Volvo massive tax credits and breaks so they will build a plant near you? The only big difference is folks are very emotional about their sports teams and it's very public and less emotional about other business so they exert more pressure for cities to keep pro teams.

In the end, I agree that the feds should stay out of it and let cities/states handle it.

Y'know, I don't care whether he's a bigot or not. I've known about the guy for over 35 years, and he displays enough other reprehensible traits to choose from.

I was raised in the Baptist church tradition. My Grandfather figure (great uncle) was pastor of the largest Baptist church in NW Ohio. My mother sang and played piano in the church choir, and home-schooled us in Bible study. My Father was top cop in our town, and was a model citizen, admired by all upstanding residents. I was raised to be honest, faithful, loyal, moral and forthright.

This man has spent 40+ years in the public spotlight, displaying every single personality trait My Family raised and trained me to loathe.

He doesn't need to be a racist, bigot or white supremacist to evoke my abject disgust. He has an encyclopedia of deplorable traits to choose from without going anywhere near the subject of race. And these opinions were formed a loooong time before he was ever climbed into the political arena. Formed when he was a darling on shows like Entertainment Tonight.

IMO, he represents 71 years worth of wasted natural resources.

Your mileage may vary

Lingerie Football League declares they stand for the national anthem

The Legends Football League, notorious for women playing the sport in nothing but lingerie, released a video on Tuesday on YouTube titled "LFL | NATIONAL ANTHEM RESPONSE."

It's not hate.
It's a lack of respect (because respect has not been earned).
It's loathing, fully deserved.
It's disdain for the type of person he allows himself to be.

Yeah, only in today's heavily politicized world could someone brag about sexual assault, and the people who find that disgusting are filled with hate rolleyes

Well, I'd have to assume that others see hi in the same light. And I have to admit that I'd be hard-pressed to occupy the same room as he. I don't have any confidence that a conversation with him would be the slightest bit productive, because his profile suggests that I'd be dismissed outright if I didn't treat him like I was 'his African American.'

I don't do Stepin Fetchit.
For anyone.

I mean, Dude doesn't even listen to his own trusted advisers half the time.

Notice- I've never claimed any moral high ground where he's concerned, and I've never been the slightest bit shy in sharing my regard for him. So I fully expected responses such as yours. Not a problem for me.

Let me ask a question: Would you trust this man in a business deal? Would you trust him to honor a promise made over a handshake? Would you trust him as a neighbor? One who lives right next door to your 16 year-old daughter?

What is your assessment of his basic character, that you seem to personally need to defend him against his detractors every single time? Is he family or something? I don't get it.

You see- I believe he lacks the moral fiber to take an activist athlete seriously and converse in good faith, since he's already come out and publicly called them sons of b!+chiz.

I personally think he likes current race relations just as they are. Which is fine, because I don't need his help to talk one-on-one with any of my Dawgtalk brethren in an attempt to make things better. I believe I have a better chance here with you than any athlete has with him.

You and I have zero history, so I'll prevail upon you to ask around. See if anyone has stories where I treated them poorly, or engaged in race relations convos with anything less than respect for my counterpart.

Trust me, I'll treat you with respect as long as you don't behave like 45. Even if you voted for him.

That would have required he lose to John McCain, because the divide began the week he was elected. Let me re-phrase that: the divide went public BECAUSE he was elected. The D.C. political divide began the day of his inauguration, when Mitch McConnell gathered his crew and devised their 'One-Term President' strategy. So blame could (and should) be shared there. O wasn't perfect. He dropped his share of balls, and missed his share of opportunities, for sure. But he didn't fail me.

I'm pretty sure he does, if he's a praying man at all.

If not, I'm sure he looks at today's political lanscape and says:

"Wheeeeeeew!"

Thoughtful posts as usual Clem.. I'm only going to address this one point..

Quote:

I disagree with this.. if you had land he could use or influence that could help him or power that he could play on, it wouldn't matter if you were white, black, brown, or yellow... gay or straight.... male or female.... sexy or ugly.... he would be your buddy.

See, I don't think Trump is racist (or sexist) at all, he doesn't look at the world along those lines... to Trump, there are two kinds of people in the world and he looks at it as, those who can help me acquire more wealth and power... and those who can't.

It is an equally reprehensible world view, especially for a person who claims to be a Christian... but it is different.

Hey Clem, Do you remember Steve Harvey visiting Trump at Trump Tower? I'm going to paraphrase until I can find a video of his comments but, he said he was pleasantly surprised with Trump. He said the discussion went well. I believe it was concerning inner city problems but I may be wrong.

My point is, just because you have a preconceived opinion about him doesn't make it accurate or true. I would trust him in a business deal with a handshake. I would trust him with my 16 year daughter. The difference for me is, (I said this before) I understand the man. I read his books, I've been to events where he was keynote speaker long before his campaign. I know and understand when the man is saying crap off the cuff just to rile his crowd. I knew what I was getting when I voted for him because I read ' The America We Deserve'. If I got something different than what I know him to be then I would cry FRAUD!

You are talking to a man who supported flooding our Country with Syrians.

A man who defended men sharing the bathrooms and locker rooms with our Daughters.

You are talking to a man who supported every Liberal Social Movement over the years.

How else would you expect him to "feel" about his polar opposite?

Hate.

I understand 40. He's lying that you can't sit down with Trump and have a 'SINCERE' (Harveys word) conversation with him.

I don't agree he is lying for it is exactly how he sees it.

You and I have a different view of President Trump and we are enjoying what he is doing for America.

The Haters will hate and the Left will continue to work against him in every possible way. Just the way it is.

The one thing that I appreciate most from President Trump is how his election has showed the world the Globalists and the Lefts...
