it will be interesting how long before he's re-instated

It will be interesting to see if he's reinstated.

I just hope it's like a couple months ago and we get a final word quickly... until the next comeback.

Maybe in light of the current NFL fiasco, Goodell will reinstate Gordon.

Kind of a publicity measure.

I think it would be a good move by Goodell.

The three X chromosomes in the tip of my left index finger that still like the Browns would be happy.

Go Browns!!!

I'm sure this is just a very minor detail.

I have to imagine at this point if Gordon "re-applies" it's only a minor formality.

In other words, I'm predicting if he "re-applies", he's back.

I hope your right getting him back would be a big boost to this Offense as well as getting Garrett back being a big boost to our D ... thumbsup

So the question is then why hasn't he applied for reinstatement?

Refuses to answer his phone?

Is out of town?

Dog ate his homework?

Is back in rehab?

Gordon is technically still fulfilling a four year deal worth $5,341,648 that he signed after being drafted. His money has been deferred since he was suspended indefinitely.

Um, Josh? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!

How many games does he have to play in to count as a “season” with us?

I'm not really sure about the how the whole thing works, but I believe he has re-applied. Going to the rehab was part of the process. Now I believe the NFL has to receive recommendations from some people now, and then probably have a level of bureaucratic paperwork, and then we'll finally have our answer on if he's playing or not. I know in July I read a thing about Gordon trying to return by the Lions game on the 22nd of October. It sounds like everything is going by the timeline.

Josh Gordon's petition for reinstatement denied by NFL, can apply again in the fall

I stand corrected. It sounds like he's getting all of his ducks set in a row. If his work with numa speed pays off, and he is faster than he was at 22, Kizer might have found his favorite target. I'd suggest you guys pick him up in fantasy football before this news becomes too public.

Bracing myself.

What could possibly go wrong. If he comes back, who goes?

Goodell could stand him as a distraction. Right now Gordon and J. Football are in a statistical dead heat in their race to the bottom.

Celebratory hotbox in the locker room, while the coaches celebrate his return with a champagne party? After the team jet incident, I don't doubt their level of stupidity anymore.

Six games.

That's why his last game as a Brown in 2014 (where he was suspended by the team for not showing up to rehab or team meeting or whatever) was kind of a big deal. That would have been his sixth game at full pay status and would have counted as an accrued season toward free agency.

There was a grievance there and I'm not sure how that was resolved.

Yeah, for some reason I read that as 10 games suspended. But yeah, I'd honestly be down for them to do that again this year, if it's warranted. We still have him for a year after this. That's crazy.

No hold up...last year he was scheduled to come back after 4 games...it was then that he put himself into rehab...which automatically had him on suspension indefinitely again. It would be a year later that he can apply for reinstatement. The Author of the article was incorrect, yes,
he applied in May to be reinstated but it was not denied it was just NOT REVIEWED cause the request was before its correct time to elapse. I think very soon Gordon will be eligible to submit his plea for reinstatement.

I know everyone has already provided their $.02 on Josh and his issues, but for his sake, I hope he's got it figured out this time. This isn't even a Browns thing. This is probably his last NFL chance ever.

I agree. I am rooting for him.

Without football, his qualities are limited.

I just don't know how the Browns will approach this when the time comes. Can't answer for them

On one hand, he was (and perhaps could be again) a real talent. Nobody can really deny that.

But yet, you spend the time to get him ready, coach him up, he goes out and blows it again!

It's almost like your damned if you do and damned if you don't.

I really don't know what the right answer it. Either decision would be questioned.

I guess it comes down to, do we need a WR that is a game changer? Yes we do. he's under contract and cheap. I'd give it a shot but on a very short leash.
