get rid of higgans and Louis. Corey is hurt again and britt is hit or miss so far.

install Leslie, Williams, Hall, Duke, and Britt

TE Njoku, DeValve (both look ok to me so far)

move duke to slot WR

have the Crow and Dayes as the RB's

or something like that

Hi cal enjoy you starting this thread
1 point njoku is out playing OZZIE NEWSOME in his rookie season.
2 Devalve is outplaying every 2nd year tight end .
3 Njoku is on path to get 10 touchdowns in his first year
at this point he is the a 1st team all rookie selection.
4th point hue has done a excellent job of developing duke.

I don't think they added anyone to the practice squad after they promoted Leslie. Sp Howard taked Leslie's spot.

I'd be just as happy if we had:

Higgins
Leslie
Devalve
Njoku
Duke

as our 5 main targets

Cut Britt and Louis

Have Williams and Coates be backups

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I'm somewhat frustrated with Britt ... well that's an understatement - but I don't cut him since it doesn't improve your team. Britt has been more open than his stats might show and he's not had a QB able to get him the ball. I think we all vividly remember the drop game 1. When he had separation and was open in the last game Kizer threw the ball a 100mph and behind him.... Britt got his hands to it and part of me wants to chastise Britt for not holding on to a ball he got his hands to - but that 'drop' and int is all on Kizer.

And while I don't like the attitude he has shown in the media - I will trust the coaching staff to get his attitude right on the field. It's early days and I think that Britt has a large part to play in the offense yet. . . Higgins was disappointing this last game and it's not like Britt is preventing some budding talent that's waiting to explode onto the scene... sad as it is Britt is probably the best WR on the team, no way I cut him.

I think once Coates is healthy and learns the offense, he will produce. He played well for Pittsburgh, and was the odd man out.

Williams ,IMO, will blossom and the days of counting on Louis will be over.

It's funny, everybody always complained when we had "dink and dunk" QBs. Now we got a guy that likes the long pass, and everyone wants him to "dink and dunk"

That's an inaccurate generalization. Fans complained when Kessler would only throw underneath because he couldn't/wouldn't throw downfield. Kizer needs to learn to find the open man and deliver the ball more quickly, whether that man is long, intermediate or short. Right now, he seems to be looking for the big strike and not seeing or ignoring the open guys underneath. He also has an issue with waiting for throwing windows to open while in fact they are closing. He needs to learn that NFL throwing windows happen quickly and don't open very far. He has to learn to get rid of the ball at the top of his drop back. That's when the receivers are expecting it, and when there's the best chance for a completion. When he starts hitting the guys in stride, that's when the real damage will come. Regardless of where they are on the field.

No he is not, Njoku has not disappointed (which is a surprise for me), but saying he is the best rookie TE, shows that you are not following the other TE's..

OJ is at the same level of Njoku, except Tampa has other good Wr's and OJ is used in blocking.

Engram and Everett are much more involved in the games...

Devalve is for me, one of the good surprises in 2017.

agreed on Devalve, he's been solid (he and Duke are basically all we can rely on)

I think we are only seeing a little flash of what the potential might be with Njoku. I said I wanted his jersey after the draft and I am about to be come to the Jets game in 2 weeks.... I plan to purchase, and hope that is not the kiss of death!

I have not seen OJ - he looks like a more rounded TE but not as explosive a weapon .... Engram seems to be the other end of the spectrum - more of a large WR than a TE that could ever black a lick .... it'll be interesting to see how they progress.

No problem. Its a good thing.

Just let him come along, he's doing alright, and I have to say that I'm a serious doubter of Njoku ability, but I am gladly being proved wrong.

I agree. I'm hoping these two help make up for the lack of WR experience. I'd expect DeValve to do more of that in 2017. Njoku in 2018. I'm tempering my expectations for Njoku.....I'm hoping he'll become a very important player.

I am dreaming when this kid feels out physically.
Could you imagine A Gronk that runs a legit 4.6
I really look for him to come on in the second half when kizer and him all get on the same page.

Njoku has flashed that immense potential. Devalve is also proving to be a very good pick in the 4th.

If Coleman hadn't injured his hand, taking him and Devalve as legit starting caliber players from that draft I would consider a win. We threw darts at Louis, Higgins et al. Higgins may turn into a contributor.

If Gordon can make his way back, we immediately become better but if he doesn't we need a Gordon type player. I think Hue's offensive scheme needs one. I hope Coleman can come back and stay healthy - I think he has the talent to be 'the' guy.

which was the entire point of that Draft. They didn't have a boatload of time to do their homework, so the plan was to take several, betting on the odds that we'd hit on at least one, probably two of them. The rest is gravy.

It tells you a lot about our group of WR's when the thread evolves to being one where the only thing people have to get excited about are the TE's.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

If Kizer is the guy, we need to draft that Hamilton WR from penn state in the 1st round.

Get this kid a real weapon.

"Dink and dunk" sounds far, far better to me than "squat and watch and hold the ball" and taking sacks as often as he does. I get it that his game will take time if he manages to do it at all, a big question. Do we need to lose a ton "to know what we have in Kizer? I would like more progress and fewer repeated mistakes. But that is me, keep telling me that I am happy with the current project, that I am happy; drink your kool aid, bide your time, and several more.
It is OK to win. Have a good day. Have it today.

Kizers supporting cast is atrocious
He can't overcome dropped passes a gameplan with no identity and suspect pass protection
Oh yeah and subpar running game
DeShawn Watson would struggle here.

Hogan seems more decisive, quick in his release and he can't possibly be less accurate. He has moved the team when he's been allowed in. I'd like to see him start one game to see if he can really move the team against their starters and keep the offense on the field and let our D rest.

It's horrible to see his attitude when you make that kind of money. It's very bad for the NFL and this team!!
