Seriously, that wouldn't surprise me. Not that God had a hand in it but that personal political beliefs played a roll.
I heard a report this guys was a rich multi-millionaire professional gambler. Can't imagine why he would want to kill a bunch of people then commit suicide, but can't imagine why anyone would.
[quote=40YEARSWAITING]I am seeing some similarities between this shooter and the Congressional Baseball practice shooter who was a 66 year old Left wing activist.
Don't be surprised if it is like that.

Investigators 'hunting down' motive behind Las Vegas shooting rampage
LAS VEGAS — Investigators on Tuesday were digging deeper into the mystery of what prompted a wealthy, retired accountant's rampage at a country music concert that resulted in the largest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
Assistant Sheriff Todd Fasulo said he understood the public was eager to understand Stephen Paddock’s motive for opening fire from his 32nd-floor hotel room with a barrage that left 59 people dead and more than 500 injured. But Fasulo urged patience during the investigation.
“We’re hunting down and tracing down every clue we can get in his background,” he said.
President Trump, as he left Washington Tuesday for a trip to storm-ravaged Puerto Rico, briefly addressed the tragedy here and the investigation into Paddock.
"He was a sick man, a demented man with a lot of problems, I guess, and we are looking into him very, very seriously," Trump said. "We are dealing with a very, very sick individual."
The president also said the administration would be "talking about gun laws as time goes by," and he lauded the efforts of Las Vegas law enforcement.
"How quickly the police department was able to get in (to Paddock's hotel room_ was very much a miracle," he said. "They've done an amazing job."
Eric Paddock, who lives in Florida, says his multimillionaire brother was a big spender at casinos and often received free meals and rooms there. Paddock also said he believed his brother owned a couple guns.
Police found 23 guns, including semiautomatic rifles, in Paddock's room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. They found 19 more at his home in Mesquite, Nev., 80 miles northeast of here.
Authorities touted the city’s resilience in the aftermath of the tragedy. Fully stocked blood banks turned away would-be donors by Monday evening. A GoFundMe page collected almost $3 million from 43,000 donors in less than 24 hours.
With hospitals jammed with victims, authorities set up a hotline to report missing people and speed the identification of the dead and wounded. They also opened a “family reunification center” for people to find loved ones.
Pieces of normalcy slowly returned to the iconic Strip. Club promoters hawked 2-for-1 deals, tourists took selfies and police cracked down would-be criminals.
“Do you know how disrespectful it is to come out here and deal drugs the day after 50 people died one block away?’’ a bike cop snapped at a man in handcuffs Monday night. “Can’t you take one day off?’’
It was business as usual in some places — and anything but nearby — on the iconic 4.2-mile strip as this hard-partying city responded to tragedy.
Derek Koerner, who identified himself as a licensed club promoter, said he was encouraged by the sizable crowds — and particularly grateful for the SUV full of men interested in his 2-for-1 deals on strip clubs. (Pay a $40 cover for a two-drink minimum and get into the second strip club for free.)
“There’s more people out here than I thought there’d be,’’ said Koerner, 48. “People seem to be upbeat and have a good energy. People seem to be moving on with their lives.’’
But less than a mile away, the mood was noticeably different. Dozens of people, some arriving with candles and flowers, returned to the scene of the horrific crime, marked by yellow police tape.
On Sunday night, a gunman police identified Stephen Paddock was positioned on the 32nd-floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino when he fired hundreds of rounds of ammunition on concertgoers enjoying the music of country star Jason Aldean.
About 24 hours later, Herman Gold and his ex-wife, Sara, stood near the concert grounds and explained how they escaped the hail of bullets and why they came back.
“I just want closure,’’ Herman Gold said. “Why? What’s the reason that on that particular night, one individual would sacrifice everyone else for his insanity?’’
Nearby, Maria Garcia stood with her three sons and said she came to pay respect to the dead. Garcia, 54, who works as housekeeper on the 43rd floor of Caesars Palace, said she enjoys watching the happy people below.
But Monday, she said in Spanish, the smiling faces were missing.
“Today was a sad day,’’ Garcia said in Spanish through her son Jose. “Everything was sad.’’
But Joe Larsen, standing at the same corner and wearing a VIP wristband from the Aldean concert, expressed gratitude.
Larsen, 49, who flew in from New Jersey for the concert, said that he watched the Twin Towers fall in 2001, lost his wife to cancer in 2015 and, on Sunday night, feared he was about to leave his son and daughter without a parent.
He said he saw a young woman die from a bullet to the head before he called his father during the bedlam.
“I told him, ‘I don’t know if going to make it. Tell my kids to live a good life’ ” Larsen recalled.
As he and others shared their stories and wiped away tears, police officers closely monitored pedestrians, especially the wayward ones.
“Sir, get out of the street,’’ one officer barked. “It’s the last time I’m telling you.’’
And so it went, the tourists taking their selfies in front of landmarks such as the replica Statue of Liberty. The club promoters offering 2-for-1s. The bike cops cracking down on alleged drug dealers. The steady arrival of mourners.
As 1 a.m. approached, a young woman carried a handmade sign in a city clearly doing its best to cope with an unthinkable tragedy.
On Christmas Eve in 1968, Paddock reportedly escaped from a Texas prison. Six months later, he robbed a bank in San Francisco, according to a newspaper account. Under his alias, he appeared on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted list. A "wanted" notice from 1969 described him as having a scar above his right eyebrow and as an "avid bridge player." The notice also said that he had been "diagnosed as psychopathic," and that he might be suicidal and "should be considered armed and very dangerous." The notice is signed by J. Edgar Hoover, the famous FBI director from that era. Life magazine published his "wanted" picture. ___________________________________________________
This is definitely a case where the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Hayley Geftman-Gold, a VP and senior counsel in strategic transactions at CBS a the broadcaster, wrote on Twitter Monday just hours after a shooting in Las Vegas at a country-music festival left at least 58 dead and hundreds more injured, “If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs will ever do the right thing. I’m actually not even sympathetic bc country music fans are often republican gun toters.”
Really?? Very sad.
I don't understand how an educated Lawyer could be so stupid to even say this. I read her "apology" saying she didn't mean it blah blah blah, yeah ok...you don't say something like that and not mean it.
Just shows you how divided, hateful, disgusting, and vile people are.
Except it was known right away that the Congressional Baseball shooter was a left-leaning activist. There isn't anything like that with this guy. The closest thing related to motive is the guy's dad who was a bank-robber. Articles have said that this shooter doesn't have a strong interest in politics, religion, etc.
But hey, some people just have to point fingers...
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

And I never said it was a fact, I stated it was a possibility when looking at the age, weapons and other similarities with the Baseball shooter. I notice it's all the Left leaners who are upset with my suggestion. So obvious. So pathetic.
Well in that case, I'm stating that it's a possibility that the conspiracy nuts are right, and it was a super duper cover up... aliens and everything...
Also, I am neither upset, nor do I lean left.

I saw this.. knew somebody would post.. supposed it would be you... this guy is such an ass. I'm tired of defending my religion against guys like this who claim to speak on behalf of it... He needs to just shut up and go away.
Portland sent me some videos of people recording the incident. Look, i'm not trying to pretend like i know everything, however, i've trained with a variety of weapons and a lot of this crap simply isn't adding up.
That doesn't sound like an automatic rifle. While i hate dude's policies, Senator Tom Cotton had said something that i agreed with: that sounded like a belt-fed machine gun, or a more military term 'squad-based machine gun'
that sounds more like an M249 or a 240B than a modded rifle.
now obviously i wasn't there, and video can make things sound completely different than in real life, so take what i say with a grain of salt.
however, you can see in the video that it really doesn't look like the 32nd floor.
but even still, the craziest thing still gets me wondering what the hell is going on:
even IF that was a modded rifle, what we have is a 64 year old senior citizen, multimillionaire 1%er, high rolling gambler, with no criminal record and no background in military experience or even weapons training.
a guy who somehow up and decided to book at hotel right around the time for this big concert, who mapped out the area and picked a perfect vantage point to fire upon the crowd? that's some hit man or covert ops type stuff.
i don't care what kind of mods someone has on their weapon. if you don't have any prior experience in handling rifles, then it's hard to believe that a 64 year old is capable of shooting over 550 people at THAT distance, especially with a full auto mod? he wouldn't be able to control the rifle long enough, as again, all reports are indicating the guy had no prior experience with any of this.
i'm trying hard not to lean toward false flag or conspiracies, but all this crap isn't adding up whatsoever.
and then combined with the guy basically had fort knox up in his home....it just seems really odd.
something is going on. and it's far from "just some random nutcase"

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
It was reported by the AP he was using two rifles with bump stocks. These are completely legal. Here is one for the AK47 called a Bumpski. You can see what it does.
that doesn't explain how he modded it, who modded it for him if need be, and where he went in such a short time to get somewhat efficient with a full auto rifle.
its not just something you pick up and start hitting beer cans with instantly, or in this case, innocent lives.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Interesting. I've seen a few social media posts alluding to things similar to what you are explaining. I just chalked it up to normal conspiracy type posts, but now you have piqued my interest.
if it replaces the existing stock, by definition it's a mod.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
i'm telling you it's really weird. but again take what i say with a grain of salt, because i'm just speculating like everyone else.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
It's not a mod in the sense of converting a semi auto to full auto. It's a stock that gives with the recoil to force a trigger pull with each shot. The weapon remains legal....but not for long I'll guess.

All it does is allows the stock to move forward and backwards while you hold your finger in the same position. The recoil of the weapon moves the stock, when it moves forward the trigger is pressed causing it to move back again. It’s also called a slide-fire stock as it slides forward and back. It’s a very simple design that is very effective.

so if that's the case, how does he know to look for something like that? where did he practice to shoot? how did he know about the right vantage point, breaking down weapons in suitcases, and then how did he learn how to make bombs?
again, this isn't something you just pick up and start knocking down targets like you've been doing it for years.
is this guy the actual shooter, or was he a plant?

i feel you and thanks for explaining that.
but again, how does he know how to look for it, and how does he get proficient at shooting?
how does a guy with his background all of a sudden become a trained weapons and bomb expert? breaking down weapons and bringing them in like an assassin?
and still, that video doesn't look like the 32nd floor.
i'm not trying to knock down everything you're saying, but so many questions and answers aren't lining up with the type of player this dude was.

Maybe ISIS wasnt lying when they claimed responibility. They could have paid this guy off. After they taught him some things.
Old guy wants to spend some time as a high roller. And go out in a blaze of glory.
I will take my tinfoil hat off now.
i mean at this point, the tinfoil hat comments seem to make more sense than what's being reported.
it could've very well played out like that for all we know.

How do I know about it? It’s fairly common knowledge for people who like to shoot. It’s not some hidden secret. There’s literally hundred’s of youtube vids on it. Maybe more.
Unless of course you think I’m an ISIS plant just waiting for my signal to turn into a rogue mass killer.
Guy didn't have to be a marksman because target rich environment doesn't even come close to what he had down range . Fish in a barrel is more accurate . Bump stocks have been around a long time and as has been said pretty common knowledge . There are also trigger assist mechanisms that are plug and play .
No conspiracy to me just ..... Man , don't even have words to describe that type of crazy .
