I haven't seen NY play, how is their defense against the run? They have rookie safeties, will that help? Just fishing for some info.

according to NFL.com Jets run defense is 29th allowing 575 yds. pass defense is 7th allowing 779 yds. total defense is 17th (Browns are 16th). http://www.nfl.com/stats/team

the thing about the jets, at least in the past ... is that their front 4 can generate pressure by themselves. That's tough to deal with.
Ideally, Garrett will put our front 4 over the top, but we'll see.

Two of their good DLman are pretty hurt either out or limited in their production. Depends on their Drug Man.But I think that should help us a bit.
Also I think their OL is all playing but many of them are banged up too!

jmho - LOS is key in this game! I'm hoping we can run the ball, that will be key in building confidence in this young offense.

I think I heard that the Jets were 2-0 this year when they gave their runningbacks a large number of carries, but I may be misremembering.

the thing about the jets, at least in the past ... is that their front 4 can generate pressure by themselves. That's tough to deal with.
Ideally, Garrett will put our front 4 over the top, but we'll see. They do not have that anymore. Especially if Wilkerson does not play. Williams is VERY good. The rest of their front 7 is above average to awful. But, if the Browns cannot catch, doesnt matter.
