Do you really want to run the ball 50% of the time when you are down by 3 Touchdowns? Do you want to run the ball when your main back leans so far forward, with his head down, that he appears to trip on a blade a grass? Do you really want to run the ball when your lead back runs, with his head down, into his OLinemen blocking for him?
If you answered no to any of the above questions, then you know why the Browns run the ball only 20% of the time.

...this team is far from a finished project. If they're just going to swap around less than mediocre talent without really improving position groups, maybe it is.

I listened to what I could of Sashi's presser. I just don't have it in me anymore for that type of talk.

So I have a question for those who say Hue didn't choose the players.
Wouldn't a good head coach do that?
I can't even imagine in my wildest dreams, Bill Belichick not personally approving ever player move.

Belicheck has final say over the roster in NE ... thats there organizational structure ... our org. Structure gives Sashi final control over the roster, at least if everything thats been coming out over the last couple months is true .... Hue knew that coming in .. or at least he should have ... thats a HUGE DISCUSSION point and is taken care of long before the i's are dotted or the T's are crossed in todays NFL ...

I can remember some bonafide QB's we could have drafted that didn't involve our first round pick- Bridgwater, Deshaun Watson among others were good prospects with low risk.
??? The two examples you gave involved using a First round pick to get them...confused by your remark?

j/c...posters jumping ship already...come on its a freaking LEAK...the ship is not sinking. This is the first time we are COMMITTING to a rebuild. FIRST TIME...other times we felt it necessary to win and rebuild which would lose the focus on the rebuild and just produce very MEDIOCRE teams that would win some games.
When we start winning...1-2-3 in a row the tides will turn. The team is not as bad as all presume due to the record. There are some holes that need filling there are a lot of young talent not ready to provide the impact needed. And yes, we still have to find a Franchise QB whether that is Kizer or someone in the future - it is still to be seen.

Moral victories are not going to get us out of last place. You need real victories to do that. But the harvard boys put together a team that has not had the lead for a single play this season.
It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!

Moral Victories have no bearing on my opinion. Actually I have been on record agreeing with you that this year...we cannot be satisfied with playing with our opponents competitively and then LOSING (Moral Victories).
We have to learn how to win without a doubt but I do agree we have a void in Veteran Leadership to help make that MANTRA more accessible. In that variable yes our Harvard Boys have set us in their. But we will start winning...I wish I knew when...and I definitely thought it would have started by now!

Victories for this year's campaign are getting rougher to come by after this week. Our FO decisions probably went to far in vets we unloaded. Our only hope in the Mountain of Youth issue is to count on coaching to absorb some of the vacuum of veterans; experience and LR morale. We have not seen these coaches right that balance. I believe we are all trying. I see more talent. But can you fix stupid? Some of the weekly dumb stuff that keeps repeating is killing us. Get some of these folks off the field if you want a different outcome.
