Carson Wentz could come to mind although I'm not sure anyone questioned his accuracy coming out of college ... hell, I'm not even sure any one questioned kizers ... although seeing as how i dont read those reports so i'm just talking out my ass right now .. *L* ...

Wentz starting his delivery with his elbow to low last year ... it caused many passes to sail ... i haven't taken the time to look at where his elbow is this year but he seems to be more accurate this year and i know he spent the off season working on mechanics with House ...

So maybe he could be an example ...

Not trying to be an argumentative ass here ... I'm seriously curious as to who has actually improved enough to make them a noticeably better qb ..

And folks looking for Kizer to improve on his mechanics during the season are just kidding themselves ... not going to happen for two or three reasons ... ask if you'd like my list as to why ...

IF the mechanics are going to change it has to be worked on in the off season ... its a LONG PROCCESS due to muscle memory ...

This holds true for Goff. He axed a second or so from his throwing mechanics compared to last year to this with the offseason work. Game of seconds, it's huge.

I'll take Kizer scanning the field better than anything though. Seeing him stare people down for seconds and seconds takes me right to Weeden. Beautiful arm, stupid brain.

In Kizer's case i agree ... it could be POSSIBLE ...

Now please ... the list of guy(s) its actually happend too ..

This debate is similar to speed and quickness. You can make a fast guy faster...you can make a slow guy faster...but you can't make a slow guy fast. However, you CAN teach the slow guy to deal with his limitations by putting him - and he putting himself in - positions to mitigate the lack of speed. BTW, I know you already know that.

I would argue that every NFL veteran QB has improved their arm strength and accuracy since entering the NFL...every one of them. But I cannot remember ANY who were known for significant accuracy/arm-strength issues and were able to overcome that to a sustained starting QB level.

We could also throw in the ability to read a defense post-snap.

Some qb's never get it mentally ... NEVER ... many qb's have had the accuracy and the arm strength but not the football smarts to succeed ...

This one scares me a lot ... he had the same problem at nd ... its gotten worse here ... but thats to be expected with everything else he's having to learn ...

I think both Brees and Brady significantly improved their arm strength after coming to the NFL. I cannot come up with an accuracy example but I think that is harder to observe. You need to watch more plus those with accuracy issues that are bad enough that improvements are obvious don't typically get the chances.
