Looking at the replay, Ramirez not covering second caused him to rush it when he went to go there and no one was at bag

No need to even throw that ball. Youth and inexperience killed that out. Not really excusable at this level...

I disagree w/starting Bauer on 3 days' rest. As much as I like what Tito did last year, this year he is annoying me.

Why not start Tomlin? The guy is a competitor and save Bauer for game 5 if needed? Why not freaking bunt the ball every once in awhile? Sheesh!

Well, it is indeed setting up for Salazar to be a hero. Love to see it for him.

Boy that stadium got quiet in a hurry. Plenty of game left guys. We just gotta chip away and get some 1-2-3 innings from our bullpen. Salazar made Judge look silly.

No, I was more specifically referring to pitches so far out of the zone he’s have to add another foot to each arm to reach it.

Oh, okay. I wasn't trying to be a smart---. I missed part of his at bat. I just saw the homer. He's not the only one swinging at bad pitches. At least Brantley finally hit one out of the infield.

Yankees are just better right now, we believed our own hype. Girardi challenges the chisenhall hbp we’d be done tonight, so much deadweight this series, guys just not doing what they did all season, EE hurt. Cause you know, Cleveland

22 games in a row is not hype. Not playing like it right now, but we're every bit as good as they are.

Just gotta play like it.

This ump has been very liberal with his strike zone for the Yankees. Indians? Not so much...

I said fire Gilbert when Kyrie started throwing his tantrum. My comment never came when they lost in the finals.

Golden State just has a better sense of team continuity with elite skill than we ever did, and I think we ever will.

I have a hunch Kluber will be lights out Wednesday night

I think the biggest threat the Indians face in winning the ALDS are the interests who stand to lose Billions of Marketing Dollars.

Note that the last time Cleveland won a World Series (1948), Cleveland was the 6th largest city in the U.S.

More populous than:

St. Louis
Washington
Boston
San Fransisco
Houston
Pittsburgh
Minneapolis
Milwaukee

I don't think it's a coincidence that as Cleveland's population (market) declined so did it's sports team's fortunes.

Just curious, but how did the Indians do in terms of viewership in last year's ALCS/WS? I know the Cubs might have affected the ratings, but I think Cleveland's drought would have a big affect on ratings ... in a positive way.

Indians/Dodgers might draw a big number.

I predict that Lindor and Ramirez break out big

We win this thing if we figure out a way to scratch together a run or two early and play with the lead and Kluber goes lights out. Otherwise we're done.

Our season rests entirely on Kluber's shoulders. If he's not dominant we're screwed. Not a terrible place to be considering it's Kluber, but we've been summarily outplayed this entire series and it shows in virtually every statistical category (including the manager - Tito has outsmarted himself by playing for tomorrow instead of for today this entire series). We're a lucky HBP and grand slam away from already being eliminated - and NY knows it. None of this gives me warm & fuzzy vibes that we're going to pull this off. Kluber or no Kluber.

Here's to hoping.

I don't follow baseball like you guys do, so I would appreciate it if you guys can answer a question for me.

I know Kluber is an excellent pitcher, but he is also a good bounce-back pitcher? Meaning, does he typically follow-up a bad game w/a very good performance?

I can’t ever recall Kluber having back-to-back duds. He is/was the best pitcher in baseball this year. I would be much more concerned about game 5 if anyone, but Kluber was going. Save for maybe Carrasco.

The Tribe needs to jump out to an early lead. The Indians are something like 47-0 when Kluber pitches and they score at least 4 runs.

Additionally, the Yankees are a completely different team when they are not playing at Yankee stadium. The Yankees had the best home record this year.

Lindor and Ramirez need to get their bats going early in the game.

I hope EE is healthy enough to DH. I think his presence in the lineup is huge.

Tomorrow night can’t get here so enough. Last night was miserable.

Milk,

Thanks for the stats. I'd love to hear more about Kluber and his bounce-backyness... :-p

Yankees have the best home record? That's actually comforting coming away from NYC with 2 losses, but coming back to Cleveland. They've got the Mo' but so did we before we hopped on a plane.

Normally, I can't stand baseball. Not fast enough for me to watch. But I'm from Cleveland (so I pull for Cleveland teams by default), and my wife is big into baseball. I'm a bandwagon baseball fan, that roots for Cleveland... :-p

IMO, the only way Kluber doesn't have a big rebound game is if his back is hurting again. But, according to what I heard (I didn't see him pitch Friday - thanks, FOX) his stuff was good in his first start vs the Yanks, but his command was way off. Analyst (Nitkowski) I heard on the radio said his curve was breaking big, and his fastball was very lively, but location was the issue. That points to a reason to be optimistic tomorrow.

That said, I'm a little worried that the bats have all gone silent at the same time. I'd like to see some of the Indians (Jackson, Ramirez, Kipnis) try to bunt on Sabathia. One, because it really P's him off, and two, because I don't think he's in shape to field his position. Get some base runners and watch the wheels come off for CC.

Baseball is a pretty simple game, hit the ball, catch the ball.. the Indians did neither last night. Even when they got a guy or two on, which seemed rare.. you never really had a feeling like a big rally was coming (at least I never did)..

They just looked lost at the plate in both games in NY.. they need to string together some hits in the early innings, just to wake up their confidence and put NY on notice that yes, we can hit.

I think Kluber will be fine, but we can't play this game like we only need 1 or 2 runs to win..
