I see a lot of "Kizer has more potential" comments and to be honest I'm guilty of that as well. We truly have no clue as to what we have in Hogan, so we can't honestly say Kizer is a better investment.
Kizer's physical gifts aren't in question, it's his mental game that is killing him. However, Hogan seems to have made progress in the mental part of the game.
I think Hogan should start, period. He has moved the ball with every opportunity he's been given this year. Sure he's not perfect, but he's essentially a rookie. He could be mediocre or he could be the next Tom Brady, we won't know if we don't give him the chance to start.

Hogan should start. Kizer is still 21, who knows what his career holds.
I will say, Hogan still has that long wind up, but only when he is ready to rip a ball into a tight area. Otherwise he is pretty tight now.
you had a good run Hank.

Let's see where we're sitting at the draft, and what happens the next 12 Sunday's, before we start worrying about the QBs. We can't give up on Kizer so soon, can't give up on KH either. I said it before the season ... and I'll say it again now ... Regardless of what DK or Hogan do between now and the end of the season ... if u think a FRANCHISE QB is their u have to draft them ... If they suck the rest of the year like Goff did last year your all going to be saying ... WE GOTTA DRAFT ONE ... If they play good the rest of the way your all going to be saying ... WE HAVE OUR QB, DONT WASTE THE PICK ... see RG3 and Kap after their rookie years ... I'll be saying ... IF U LOVE ONE, DO WHAT IT TAKES TO GET THEM regardless of how Kizer or Hogan or even Cody plays the rest of the way ... I'd rather have 2 qb's than none ... and were not going to know by the end of this year weather we have one ... and if one looks good then id rather cover my ass then pray that wasn't fools gold ... but thats just me ...

+1, I'm NOT a QB guru, but one of our past HC stated...thought processing speed and anticipation are keys...well Kizer has HELD the ball and has shown NO anticipation....Hogan isn't as gifted physically, BUT he's a Stanford man....IE, has way enough SMARTS and he's move the team.....If I were KING....he's in.....GO Browns!!!!!

outside of faster reads, seeing the field, getting rid of the ball faster, knowing the offense better and how it should be run...
there is just something about Hogan to me...he just looks the part. I am really liking his fluid drop backs and throws.
I don't recall us having a QB that quite intrigues me like he does...he just looks and plays like he could be our guy for quite some time. First two sentences I agree with. He does. After than, no. He has a horrid throwing motion, and makes mistakes. Can he clean that up, yes. But he doesn't have a great arm either. He is a solid backup at best, which is the best we have right now.

He could be mediocre or he could be the next Tom Brady, we won't know if we don't give him the chance to start. Hogan should start now ... - hes in year 2 ... mentally its light years between him and DK ... - he changed his mechanics big time this OFF SEASON ... He's a different qb than he was in college for that reason ... I dont think hes the long term answer ... but your right, we really have no clue at this point ... if he didn't overhaul his delivery id be in the ... he has no shot corner ... the new delivery increases his odds of making it and id like to see more ... - DK is overwhelmed ... he wasn't ready to play on an established team much less with one that has no help for him ... He needs to take a step back at this point ... Hogan can get some experience and will give us a better shot of doing some positive things on O and it will give DK some time to sit and learn and hopefully work on those mechanics and take snaps under center in NON GAME SITUATIONS. ...

For now, Hogan is the better choice. I don’t think Kizer is ready, as there has been no improvement from game to game. He may be the QB eventually, but not for the next few weeks. The decision making skills are not quite there yet as shown by the bad pitch and int in the red zone.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

I don't feel Kizer being benched is something that Hue or the fan base is excited about. The reality is after five games it is obvious that Kizer is not ready. 3 TD's 9 INT's three of which came inside the 5 yard line on top of several fumbles. a putrid 49% QBR.
Add this to the fact that Hogan has come in on multiple occasions and provided an offensive spark and put points on the board.
Kizer was only pulled two times for performance. Cincy & NYJ. Against Baltimore he was pulled due to a migraine. IMHO he should have stayed in against Baltimore because he was moving the ball.
