I'm watching him play tonight, he's a Saskatchewan Roughrider, wears #33. The CFL game might be more suitable to his skill set.

what were his stats?

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Hope he has success there. Hope he learned some playbook. Let us know how he does, eh?

This is a guy that proves many people can be wrong.

I for one thought this guy was going to be a stud.

When Jim Brown came out said he looked "ordinary". I started to question him. After a while he just disintegrated.

my one concern with him coming out was that Alabama seems to ride their stars pretty hard in college ... I worried his days as a RB wouldn't be that lengthy ... but I wasn't really worried about his talent

When Jim Brown evaluates football talent I would listen. When I heard him say TR was "ordinary" I totally disagreed. I was wrong. Now I would listen to what Jim Brown has to say.

Mourg. and Me wanted the team to take Ryan Tannehill quarterback of the dolphins.

All, that remembering Trent Richardson reminds me, is sometimes I should trust my own instincts and say "forget" what the team thinks. Sure, I was of the mind, and still am, " trust the teams ability to make decisions, after all they are the professionals"

Besides, here's my whole process in deciding whether to like a player to draft for the Browns, it can take less than 3 minutes.

1. What school did they go to. ( theory, high school players a few years prior had a choice, and if I'm looking for the top 20-100 football players in the entire world, the best ones would have gone to the best football schools when they had a choice out of High School, ... theory extending that--- the best of the best go to the best schools in the regions, the traditional football powerhouses, then, there are schools that are kind of the left over schools...
for instance, if I'm looking for the top quarterback

Then, if he's the best of the best, he didn't have to settle for the 2nd best school choice. That takes about 3 seconds.

2. Take a look at the players stats for the 4 years,
Average each year's stats for from 10 games,
(they play about 10 games a year in college) you can see what they did on an average day.

3. See how the player did in their bowl game, actually watch if possible.
See also how the player did in rivalry type big matchups, and see if the player looks like a player that wants to be in there making plays in the toughest times.

And on quarterbacks I give a big consideration to a high percentage of completions vs the percentage not completed in the average.

And see if anything stands out, from your memory of last year. (some college players I really liked in the past)

Kyle Orton, Travis Kelce, and Oh my Gosh: Eli Manning in his sophomore year,

and Ryan Tannehill,

The bottom line is Browns drafted Trent Richardson:

I love the Browns, I wonder if Trent Richardson could come back today, and help this team get some wins.

What in anything do the Browns have to do to start winning even 1 out of 3 games on a consistent basis?

33% that should be achieveable.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Yep, pretty much everybody said he was a great pick.

I remember turning on the Bull and the Fox, 92.3 FM, for the first time. They were talking about Trent and said he was a bust and I just said OMG.... People just weren't saying that at the time. I turned my radio off, just to soak it in.

Another bad pick? No!

Yep.

I've been listening to them ever since.

Im wondering if this was an old thread somebody posted on.
Just testimony of our past drafts...overall #3 pick n RB gotta to be a great RB...typical pick n why the Browns are still trying to build a team.

I think Trent if Trent was drafted by another team his history would be
Different
He came into a culture that didn't demand accountability and a sense of professionalism
He looked really decent as a rookie
But somewhere that negative Browns culture got the best of him
He stopped wanting to be the best to be elite
Good luck

I don't think it was that, he had problems with vision, seeing the holes. Remember he played for Indy after us and didn't do well there either.

He was, however, fantastic at shedding off the first person who tried to tackle him.

Some players, no matter how well they do in college - cannot cut it in the NFL. He is one of those players.

I'm not high on Crow, but there's no way I would even consider Trent over him. I would probably take any RB out there though not named Trent Richardson, so probably not saying much lol.

He had a real good rookie year
I remember he had some highlight reel plays vs the Eagles and Bengals
I know he had family members draining his finances
I thought he was a slam dunk

Trent's history is recorded...he earned his demise n most of it happened after he left here
90% was bad picks abd most of the rest was bad circumstances...example Courtney Brown.

We don't need them on our future CFL team. Owen Marecic can play every position. Both on offense and defense.

When I found out what was happening in Trent's life, my heart broke for the poor kid. It was disturbing to get that inside look in to just how quickly those around you can drain you as soon as you see the fruits of your labour.

Seeing what he was going through, I'm not sure I can ever truly consider Trent Richardson to be a bust. I think it's more likely the masses who latched on to Trent as a 'way out' were busts, and they brought him down to their level.

I think so too.

Peppers and Njoku had preexisisting character/behavioral issues.

Kiser probably could have developed as an NFL QB if he had been developed slowly. He's probably toast now.

Started when not ready, made a complete failure outta it doing the same mistakes, benched and likely to start again on the sole lines the other QB sucks so bad.

His confidence level is likely as high as the WRs we have confidence level in him throwing a decent ball, or seeing them open.

T-Rich update:

Trent ran for 127 yards on 20 carries, and had two TDs in his fourth CFL game the other night, as the Roughriders pounded Montreal 37-12.

Afterward, coach said Trent is better when he doesn't dance and hits the hole.
