Yeah I had SBC DSL before and SBC made my "chit-list" as well. They are the reason my wife and I use only cell phones. I am lucky in that regard b/c the development is wired for their own cable internet service for $39.99. I do have to admit but their Internet (Comcast orig but now TW) has been awesome and like I said before only went out one time when someone cut a fiber optic cable in Pennsylvania.
I hate Time Warner too. Just little things with them me off. The cable freezes or my channels go out, when I call they dick me around, and when they switched from Comcast to TW my On-Demand, which was one reason I went with Comcast (for the kids shows on demand and movies) went to crap. They have nothing but garbage on there outside of the movie channels.

I guess I will be OK as far as where the dish will be located b/c they are installing it on my balcony. I am going to rain-X it like Ppr said and if I have to it is right there to go knock snow off of. That was my main concern w/dish is how often it goes out, but a lot of people I have talked to says it is rare and has to be very bad out.

right now if your order Directv and the NFL Sunday ticket They will give you the best package available for $69.99. That package usually cost $99.99 and the NFL would cost about 49.99 on its own.

It's a great deal everything for $69.99. It's every channel available on Directv. That means you are basically getting the NFL package free and $30.00 off of there best package.

Regardless, I wouldn't touch Charter if it's in your area.

LoL, funny story about illegal cable. I told my roomate in college that if he hooked a coax cable to the cable wires that came into the house he could get free cable. hehe, he went to go do it and it was raining a little. All the sudden he was like "Ahhhh ahhhhhh help" and he started getting electrocuted Not enough to hurt him bad but enough where he was feeling it hehe.

Living in the outback of Oklahoma there is really no choice at all. DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket ROCKS.

I've had outages due to to T-storms but nothing bad. Really should turn TV off when
.that happens. High wind sometimes, but not always, causes problems.

Only one [out of 3] snow storms caused any problems last winter.

I find DirecTV's Website NOT very user friendly.

I get better customer service from the local installer than DirecTV

Well I made my decision. I went with Direct TV. I couldn't pull the trigger on the Sunday Ticket and 4 months free of their best program only b/c they wanted me to pay $99 up front for a HD Receiver and $9.99 for a reg receiver. My bill would have been $89 a month and I just didn't want to pay all that. So I chose the HD Choice Extra which is a free HD Reciever, Free reg reciever (for the bedroom), a free portable DVD player, and my monthly bill after tax and the HD access is $64 total.

I figure Direct TV would be more than happy to switch me if I change my mind on the Sunday ticket and I still get the HD Reciever free

Good for you, ive been with Direct Tv since 1999 and overall im please with their service.

I think you may regret not getting the NFL package though, but you can always change your mind.

I may get it yet, but right now with all the moving expenses I didn't want to pay a extra $100 for the HD Receiver if I could get it free. They are coming to hook it up on Sunday and I may call next week to see about switching to the Sunday Ticket plan.
